Exit Strategy: Maximum of 200 words. If your character is an agent of D.E.S.T.I.N.Y./antagonist, describe what D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. agents did to them (e.g., torture/magical brainwashing, or family held hostage/apocalypse postponed).

For non-antagonists, tell us how the D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. apocalypse and the enemy appeared in their world, then describe the technology or magic the character used to escape their world. BACKGROUND:
Background of the world:
- an almost mirror of our normal every day Earth, only with magical creatures roaming it. Wizards, Vampires, Werewolves, Demons, and Fae make up the biggest races represented. They live in a world just hidden from normal humans, in every shadow and dark alleyway.
- There is another world, though, one that can be accessed through portals found throughout the world - think the upside down in Stranger Things, where things are reversed. Humankind is in slavery and magic rules the world; it’s a very medieval type of world, where technology hasn’t had a chance to advance due to magic being predominant.

About Jaden:
- Absolutely normal life, knows nothing of the underworld of magic and demons. Born and bred in Boston, Mass.
- At 15, he's a popular kid on the edge of a growth spurt, with well-off parents and a tiny brother that worships the ground he walks on. A football player with aspirations to play varsity. A bunch of friends. Average grades and attendance.
- One November night, Jaden comes home from a house party to a scene straight out of a horror movie. Blood everywhere, painting the walls. He has to take in the sight of his parents and brother, chests open, their hearts missing.
- He stops going to school.
- Some of his family members do try to get in touch with him; an uncle in Seattle, mainly, but Jaden evades all contact attempts, and his nomadic new life keeps him from being easily reachable. He only wishes to be alone.
- He's attacked by werewolves on the verge of his sixteenth birthday. They want him dead. It's a group of wolves - what are wolves doing in the city? - and they're merciless, clawing and biting at Jaden for what feels like forever but is really only seconds.
- They leave Jaden for dead, even though he isn’t - one of the werewolves’ bite was exactly what was necessary to turn him into one of them.
- He wakes up in the hospital and breaks out of it when he realizes he’s entirely healed - only scars reminding him of the ordeal. He knows it’s not normal.
- His world opens up. He discovers magic, werewolves, vampires, all of it is real. He meets an Imp that guides him through this new world he has to learn how to navigate - after playing a few shitty pranks on him
- He starts taking on odd little jobs to keep himself alive, surviving at any cost. He becomes a bit of a bounty hunter, and also kind of a vigilante; he wants to keep the world safe, since he couldn’t do it with his family.
- He gets a very large, extensive tattoo all over the scars left behind by the werewolf attack. It’s done by a shady shady man in a shady shady shop and it costs him a pretty penny, but Jaden considers it like armor.
His main goal in life is revenge - on whoever took his family away from him, and why.

- Shapeshifting; from human to wolf and vice-versa. Has to on a full moon, but otherwise can control and shift at will.

In-Universe:

EXIT STRATEGY: It starts with natural catastrophes where there should be none. Seismic shocks far away from any tectonic activity, spontaneous tornadoes and hurricanes forming over land. Like a plague, it spread, more or more, until the world couldn’t cope anymore. Crisis cells opened everywhere, cities were evacuated, but to no avail. They blamed it on global warming, they blamed it on the wrath of God, they blamed it on nuclear waste. Jaden didn’t know who to blame, but he knew he wanted to escape it; he sought one of the many portals to the other dimension; they weren’t easy to find, but when he finally found one, he went right through, without a single second of hesitation, only to end up in Xistentia.

MORALITY: Jaden’s morality compass points towards Good, generally. He was raised right, after all, and most of the things his parents taught him - compassion, manners, honesty, bravery - he has retained. But his few years in a darker place have also taught him that the world is far from being as black and white as he used to think, and he has come to terms with his own violence. He wouldn’t hesitate to kill if the situation required it, but said situation would have to be very extreme, and the fact would haunt him afterwards.

WAR ATTITUDES: Jaden did a fair share of bounty hunting back home, so taking on missions and fighting is something he’s very used to and will appreciate being able to go back to. At first, he’ll definitely be more inclined to help in that way rather than with the whole community building/making connections part of things because he is not very used to making connections anymore.

INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: He thinks he is not interested and he will struggle with making connections. But the thing is? He kinda craves them, too. He’s a very ‘one and done’ type of guy, but it worked for him in the past because he was so nomadic. In Xist, being stuck in one place and building relationships with the same people, he might very well forge bonds faster than he’d expect. He’ll definitely have flings if that’s something that occurs, and he’s absolutely not closed off to them - he likes sex and doesn’t plan on stopping having it, it’s the whole… actual deeper, meaningful relationships thing that he is not very good at. But he’ll probably try, because he’s actually kinda craving human interactions and connections.

COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: well, Jaden is a pretty good fighter; he’s happy to go exploring and do such things, especially as a wolf. He can hunt. But also, in something a lot more niche, and yet a lot more mundane, Jaden, for years, learned the art of tailoring from his father. His father was a reputed tailor back in Boston, and Jaden spent countless days, weekends, hours after school, in the store with his father, learning how to cut fabric and sew it back into beautiful garments. How to pair a body to the right suit or dress. How to choose the right colors and the right shoes and the right tie. How to measure a body. He wouldn’t necessarily want to open a tailoring business - at least not at first, but it would be something he could be working towards and would be willing to help the other Xistentia residents with. Meanwhile, he would absolutely be looking into ways to still get his revenge!

  • She arrives in Eudio under the assumption the representatives will help her retrieve both Mortal Cup and idiot brother from Valentine's clutches.
  • While in the city, her life progressed pretty normally. She made a lot of friends and did her best to earn her incentive ( unsuccessful best, considering she made out with zero people ).
  • She worked in a vampire bar! And also trained with a Force Guardian and learnt how to beat people up with sticks a little better.
  • Clary has also lived with both Isabelle ( inheriting her Jigglypuff when her friend left ) and Rosie plus her million dogs.
  • She also got a cat.
  • AND BEFRIENDED ALEC LIGHTWOOD.

  • POWERS:
  • Sight: Every Shadowhunter possesses an ability to see through glamours and detect the real nature of the being beneath them. This means she should be able to tell when someone is a vampire, werewolf, warlock etc. For the interest of everyone's happiness I'll prepare a permissions post for this.
  • Runes: These are almost tattoo like in nature and can be applied directly on to skin with the use of a stele. Each rune has a different meaning attached to it and can grant the bearer extra powers or skills. For example, there is a rune for healing, a rune for silence, a rune for invisibility etc.
  • Combat Training: During both canon and her time in Eudio, Clary has been trained in several fighting methods. She can fight both hand to hand and with weaponry, but she prefers anything she can smack people with.
  • Angel Blood: Clary is unlike the other Shadowhunters ( with the exception of Jace and potentially Sebastian ) in that she has abilities above and beyond the usual rune use. She can create her own - like the sunlight rune - though this is a skill she is still struggling to really understand.

  • STARTING EQUIPMENT:

  • her purse which holds the usual debris - wallet, sketchpad, pencils, her cell phone, and five thousand crumpled up receipts.

  • ( 1 ) seraph blade - a short sword-like weapon that can be activated through nephilim power. it's mostly used against demons and the downworld but can be deadly to others too.

    In-Universe:

    EXIT STRATEGY: Clary finds Alec ( [personal profile] helical ) and Magnus ( [personal profile] lacquers ) just as D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. comes to Eudio. There's little time for them to formulate a plan. D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. causes an earthquake of the likes that they can't even hope to save the people around them. So when Magnus creates a portal all three of them have no choice but to jump through. But something in the magic goes awry and they end up in Xistentia, probably coughing up sand and saltwater in an unattractive manner.

    MORALITY: Clary is an extremely moral person. She believes in doing the right thing always and forever. She will literally fight with anyone who thinks of doing even the wrong thing for the right reasons, meaning she has a very low tolerance for hurting people regardless of if it means saving them in the long run. This is why she so often butts heads with the Clave or any Clave mandated action, because she wouldn't want to put anyone else down to succeed. Clary would rather sacrifice herself than watch someone else suffer. That doesn't mean she doesn't have a violent streak in her, however. If you are a bad person who has done terrible things she is first in line to want to punch you in the face. And if you are a morally grey person who tries to uphold shitty laws, then that is pretty much as bad and she will argue it until she's blue in the face.

    WAR ATTITUDES: She will 100% want to fight if it is against the bad guys. Clary is from a line of warriors, and she's getting used to being the one to take up that mantle. Because she can heal herself she thinks it makes more sense for her to be part of that, rather than someone who could get seriously hurt. She also has people back home she will want to save ( Jocelyn, Luke, Simon, Isabelle, etc ) and the possibility of that will cause her to throw herself into action.

    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Clary loves very easily. It doesn't matter if it's friendship or something more, the minute you are on her radar, you are her friend. She would literally do anything for the people she cares about ( and the people she doesn't ). While her relationship status is complicated - thinking the boy she's in love with is her brother, apparently dating her best friend back home, being in a city run by physical affection - she will be ready to encourage more pleasant interactions with the people around her. This is Xistentia's Best Friend Race, and she wants to be the very best of them.

    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: 100% Clary will want to explore. She's always been a curious creature. Danger isn't really a deterrent, and she gets bored of inaction very quickly. She will definitely volunteer to help on away missions more often than not. That doesn't mean she'll be on the outskirts of the community though. It will probably be the opposite, with Clary sticking her nose in everyone's business. There's a chance she might offer combat training with the other Shadowhunters, and potentially end up painting murals everywhere to make the city a little brighter.

    » BAKING & TEACHING: While Alec continued to train in Eudio, there were no threats to the city for him to fight. Alec had more free time than he knew what to do with, and took to teaching others what he knew. He liked making himself useful and sharing his skill with people who needed them back home but lacked the training and experience. Not only that, but to surprise Magnus for his birthday, Alec taught himself how to bake by practicing for months on end, discovering a new hobby allowing him to put his focus and love of rules, order and detail into something productive.

    » MAGNUS & MARRIAGE: Alec's relationship with Magnus has grown during their time in Eudio. Alec spent over a year in the city and has now been with him for as long following their canon update. They married in Eudio, eloping to City Hall, around six months previous to their arrival in Xistentia.

    » RELATIONSHIPS: Eudio has taught Alec a lot about his ability to make and retain friendships. His closest friends happen to be vampires or fae, people who, back home, he might have dismissed before getting close to them. His relationship with Clary has also improved, and he's overcome a lot of the walls that made him keep others at a constant distance. Alec has learned that he can make friends and build relationships of his own even while being honest about what and how he feels, and in fact that sharing those things can strengthen bonds.

    » IMMORTALITY: Rafa, Alec's close friend, brought up the question of immortality when Alec announced he'd married Magnus, given his husband would live on forever while Alec would die of old age. This lead to Alec severely considering his options and referring to Axel, another close friend of his and vampire in a relationship with a mortal, for advice. The thought was in his head for half a year, and Alec took the time to weigh all the pros and cons, wanting his decision to be the right one for everyone in the long term before making his choice official.


    POWERS:


    » THE SIGHT & NEPHILIM PHYSIOLOGY The Sight allows those with angel blood to see what normal humans cannot, such as demons and other creatures from the Shadow World. The sight can be fooled, but can see through glamours and illusions, identifying vampires, werewolves, and demons, as well as certain disturbances (presence of magic, portals, ichor). Being part angel, Alec is stronger, faster and has more endurance than a regular human.

    » ANGELIC POWER & RUNES Alec can mark his body with angelic runes with the help of a stele. The marks fade with time and must be reapplied, while some are permanent and can be activated. These runes have varied effects that go from creating heat, quieting sound, making the user invisible, tracking, night vision and improving existent abilities (strength, balance, aim) to providing nourishment. A list of available runes can be found here. Angelic power affects angelic weapons as well, and Alec's preferred weapon is a bow, although he knows how to use a variety of blades and hand to hand as well.

    » PARABATAI BOND Alec's soul is linked to Jace's through a parabatai bond, which allows two warriors to draw strength and power from one another. Any runes drawn between parabatai will have a stronger and more lasting effect, and the two work in total tandem, like two halves of one, in battle. When they fight together, they are twice as powerful as when they fight alone.

    » IMMORTALITY Magnus' incentive while in Eudio was to earn Alec's protection so that he could only die of old age. Alec can still be injured, but none of these injuries will lead to his death. After Alec has earned immortality as his incentive in Eudio, which means he has effectively stopped aging as of his arrival in Xistentia.

    In-Universe:

    EXIT STRATEGY: Alec, along with Magnus ([personal profile] lacquers), were in Eudio briefly to pick up Alec's incentive when a great earthquake shook the city. By chance, they came upon Clary ([personal profile] creatio), and Magnus summoned a portal for them to travel through to safety. It being too late, the portal dumps them in Xistentia rather than it's intended destination.

    MORALITY: Alec has a very strong moral belief system, with a good sense of what is right and wrong. While he can be driven by his more negative emotions, he's stubborn about crossing lines he's not willing to cross, going as far as challenging authority figures when he believes them to be in the wrong. He will not hesitate to put anyone promptly in their place, even willing to physically fight someone to stop them. However, there's very little he wouldn't do for his family and loved ones: if Alec can be pushed to doing something he doesn't find moral, it would be for the sake of keeping the people he loves safe.

    WAR ATTITUDES: Alec is a trained soldier. His life so far has been spent leading groups of Shadowhunters into combat and missions to insure the safety of humanity. While he had a higher ranked position for some time and is capable of leading and being responsible for a group, Alec has had hours of terrain experience and will be a good addition to any mission, regardless of his position within the team. He'll be actively seeking to participate in the protection of the city and it's refugees, while helping the community on any allowed downtime.

    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Romantically speaking, Alec is married to Magnus and will not be creating other romantic bonds. His time in Eudio has however opened his mind in regards to friendship with people outside of his society, regardless of their kind and origins, as well as having allowed him to step outside of his comfort zone. He'll be forging bonds with new people and strengthening pre-existing friendships. Alec is more open to getting to know people than he's ever been, but this does not mean he'll get along with everyone. Some of his traits may cause him to clash with others, though this will never get in the way of any duties or cause for him to let someone come to harm.

    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: While Alec will be participating in missions and fighting to keep the community safe, he will also participate in a more direct way by offering lessons in weapon use, archery, and combat to anyone who wishes. Long term, he might seek to establish some kind of organization with the other refugees, so there's a semblance of order and law established. Not only that, but Alec is curious and suspicious by nature, and would like to learn about the world they're in, the threat they're fighting, and what D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. and F.A.T.E.S. consist of in as much detail as possible. He will as easily sign up for exploration and recon as he would for battle.

    POWERS:

    • Nephilim physiology: Jace is a Shadowhunter, meaning he is descended from a race of humans who were enhanced with the blood of an archangel. He is more durable than normal humans, and can use Angelic Runes and weapons. He can also see through magical disguises using the Sight. In game, this will be governed by a permissions post.

    • Angelic Runes: Runes are magical symbols which Shadowhunters brand onto their skin using a stele. They activate and deactivate the runes using their stele. Runes give them extra powers, such as enhancing physical abilities and senses, healing, making them invisible, etc. A list of known runes is available here.

    • Parabatai Bond: Jace's soul has been magically bonded to that of Alec Lightwood, his parabatai. They are emotionally connected and are stronger and more powerful when fighting together. Runes applied to one of them by the other will be more powerful than runes they apply on themselves. Parabatai can use the tracking rune together, producing a stronger effect. They can also track each other, though this is painful and will weaken, not strengthen, their bond.

    • Combat Training: Jace is an expert hand to hand combatant, having been trained since childhood. He can fight both with and without weapons, but tends to choose a Seraph Blade, which works like a sword.

    • Pure Angel Blood: At the end of Season 2a, Jace discovers that he was injected with pure angel blood while in utero. This gives him speed and strength greater than that of normal Shadowhunters. During Season 2b, he discovers that he is able to activate runes without using his stele; his eyes turn gold when he does this. He would not be able to do this immediately in game, but will learn how to do so as time goes on.


    STARTING EQUIPMENT:

    • The clothes on his back: Black sweater, jeans, belt and boots.

    • 1 Stele: a pen-sized metal tool with a crystal on the end. It is used for drawing and activating runes. When in use, the crystal glows like the seraph blade. It can only be used by Shadowhunters.

    • 1 Seraph Blade: a curved blade which glows when wielded by a Shadowhunter. Seraph Blades are mainly used to kill demons and downworlders, though they can also affect angels and are deadly to ordinary humans. They come in various sizes; Jace's is around the size of a short sword. The blade is capable of disappearing when not in use, so that only the hilt needs to be carried. It reforms when drawn for use by a Shadowhunter's hand.

    • 1 witchlight: a smooth stone which, like a Seraph Blade, glows when held by a Shadowhunter.

    • His daemon: Shaped like a brown falcon, Jace will find his daemon highly disconcerting; it will look exactly like the falcon his 'father' told him to train as a child, and then killed after Jace made it love him instead of teaching it obedience. Shadowhunters tend to name their weapons after angels, and as the daemon is not a weapon he won't do that; but similar to that tradition he will call it Caind - after the Mark of Cain, which is seen as both a curse, and something which protects the one that bears it. Caind will have a logical, law-abiding, risk averse and pedantic personality, something which Jace will find frustrating since it will remind him of Alec, and endearing because it will remind him of Alec.

    EXIT STRATEGY: Jace will come from shortly after he and Clary were able to capture Valentine and hand him over to the Clave at the end of Season 2a. The Institute will have become aware of an attack by a new kind of demon which they do not recognise. Jace volunteers to investigate, and the Clave send him through a portal which is intended to take him to the infestation. Instead, Jace crashes into Xistentia.
    MORALITY: Jace has grown up as a Shadowhunter, and sees his role as that of a protector of humanity from demons. He has been raised with certain prejudices; while he believes he must protect humans, he also tends to see Shadowhunters as better than them - stronger, more resilient, and less driven by emotions. He also has been taught to look down on Downworlders - werewolves, seelie, warlocks and vampires. Shadowhunters have peace agreements with Downworlders known as Accords; they will protect them and keep the peace, so long as Downworlders do not harm humans. Jace would consider it his duty to attack and even kill a Downworlder who hurt a human. However, he also has very personal experience of Shadowhunters who believe that all Downworlders should be killed, and he has recently been used by them to kill many Downworlders at once. Jace very strongly believes in the duties of a Shadowhunter; he has experienced conflict when seeing Downworlders who break the Accords and feeling that not enough is done to stop them, but has also known Downworlders to be allies and even friends. As a result of all of this, Jace will feel protective over humans in particular, and Downworlders so long as they are not a danger to anyone else. He will want to do all he can to save his world and the people in it.
    WAR ATTITUDES: As a Shadowhunter, Jace has been trained to fight since childhood. His adoptive father, Valentine, was particularly harsh with him and insisted that he train to be the best, an attitude which still pervades with Jace. He is a ruthless fighter and won't hesitate to kill when people are in danger. He will want to go on missions and help to defend both this place and his own world. This is the work he's used to at home; he's likely to be more frustrated by downtime, and will prefer to take practical action when he can.
    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Jace has a tendency to struggle with letting people get close to him. He refers to ordinary humans as Mundanes, and while he sees them as people to be protected, he rarely deals with them in his day to day life - he often uses his runes to walk among them unseen. He far more regularly engages with Downworlders who are familiar with Shadowhunters and view them as authority figures and peacekeepers. Jace's relationships with them tend either to be businesslike, or (if they're girls), casual and often sexual. He rarely lets people get to know him. The notable exceptions to this are Alec and Isabelle Lightwood, into whose family he was adopted as a child and whom he sees as his brother and sister. Alec is also his parabatai and best friend, and is the main person who knows what Jace is thinking and feeling. Alec is the person he most easily confides in. He has grown to be friendly with some Downworlders - in particular Alec's partner, Magnus Bane, and Simon Lewis, with whom he shares a tense rivalry, but a grudging respect. Jace developed a strong relationship with Clary Fairchild, who he grew closer to than most others and for whom he began to develop more serious feelings than he had with anyone else in the past. This budding relationship ended when they were told they were actually siblings. Jace now knows this was a lie, but Clary is now dating Simon, and he thinks it's too late for them. This disaster of a relationship has made it even harder to get close to Jace.
    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Jace is likely to want to go on missions more than anything else. He'll see his fighting skills as the greatest value he can provide - in fact, being a Shadowhunter is the only job he's ever done. He would also be willing to teach others to fight, though he would be cautious about who he trains - the weak are to be protected, not put in harm's way. If any other Shadowhunters or people from his world are here, he will also want to stay near them and make sure they are safe and well.

    Magnus | Season Two

    CRAU: Magnus was in Eudio for thirteen months. During that time, he met up with several people from his world, made quite a few new connections, opened a club, and cemented his relationship with Alec Lightwood to the ultimate end of matrimony.

    - Upon arriving in Eudio in April, Magnus discovered right away that Alec had come to the city as well. In the coming months, he came to be aware that several others from their world also accepted the representative's offer. He made contact with each of them and discussed enough with them to be aware that he and Alec had come to the city earlier than anyone else from their world, a factor that contributed to a later trip home to get caught up with everyone else.

    - In May, Magnus opened a Eudio location of his Brooklyn nightclub, Pandemonium. Several of his friends from Eudio became employees and the club started offering monthly drink specials in the form of a variety of magical cocktails. The club quickly became a huge feature in his Eudio life, not only because Eudio's relaxed attitude about magic meant he could openly advertise it as a place where magic was welcome and, quite literally, on the menu all the time, but also because he formed strong relationships with several of his regular patrons and employees.

    - By July, Magnus had made good progress on achieving his first incentive, which requested the Eudio representatives bring back his deceased friend, Ragnor Fell. Having cultivated relationships with several fellow volunteers, some of whom had lost those precious to them, Magnus eventually came to the conclusion that he would rather protect his future than preserve his past. With Alec's permission, he changed his contract with the city from bringing back Ragnor to protecting Alec from all physical harm.

    - In September, he and Alec decided that Alec would move into Magnus' apartment and they'd begin living together. This marked a kind of turning point in their relationship, and for Magnus personally, as it resulted in him beginning to think more concretely of their relationship as one that he hoped would be permanent and lasting - that is, as much as it could be so long as he was immortal and Alec wasn't, which is another subject that's come up frequently for them.

    - In December, after Magnus' birthday, Alec and Magnus went to their mountain vacation home, where Alec proposed (with a magic ring he'd been hanging onto since September). They married the very next day in a private ceremony. The marriage is extremely significant for Magnus, in part because he's been alive four centuries and has never been married before, despite a desire for it.

    - In April, Magnus and Alec returned home to Brooklyn, where the events of their canon resumed. They left for Eudio again as detailed in the exit strategy section.

    POWERS: Magnus' warlock abilities are pretty diverse. The ones we've seen in the show thusfar are detailed below.

    Healing. He can use magic to speed the healing process for wounds, as well as for pain relief, and can create potions that cure poisons, given the proper ingredients. Potion-making is listed as one of his special skills.
    Summoning. He can summon objects from one place to another. In the show, he's only ever shown to do this with small items (a wineglass, for example). In addition, Magnus is capable of summoning demons, with whom he can make contracts for greater power or other purposes. Not really applicable outside his home universe where said demons reside.
    Relocation. In one episode, Magnus transports his 'lair' (a loft in Brooklyn) from one location to another.
    Elemental control. Summoning fire, potentially other elements. This has been used for combat purposes (striking people, knocking things over or causing them to explode, and restraining enemies).
    Wards of protection. Magnus can create permanent/semi-permanent protective barriers around buildings and people. He can also shield himself and others from immediate damage.
    Portals. Magnus can create a portal from his current location to any other location he's previously visited.
    Sense/physical manipulation. Magnus can influence bodily sensation (speed heart rate, control breathing, affect body temperature, etc).
    Immortality. Magnus stopped aging around ~30 and no longer grows any older physically. He is immortal, but not invulnerable.
    Glamour. Magnus can affect the appearance of people or objects, either to change or hide aspects of whatever's visible. He uses this ability to conceal his warlock mark, which is a pair yellow cat eyes. His glamour gives his eyes the appearance of being brown, when they actually look as shown in the link. He can lower or dispel the glamour at any time.
    Tracking. Using a physical object belonging to a person, Magnus' magic can track their location.

    In-Universe:

    EXIT STRATEGY: Magnus and Alec make a trip back to Eudio to claim Alec's earned incentive. Upon arriving at City Hall and obtaining what was agreed upon with the representatives, everyone in the vicinity experiences what seems to be a powerful earthquake. Magnus and Alec together are only able to meet up with Clary of all the people they know in Eudio and when Magnus attempts to portal them to safety, the trio are transported to Xist together instead.

    MORALITY: Magnus is very much chaotic good. He abides by a policy of "do no harm, but suffer no nonsense." He won't hurt someone without a reason and will usually utilize his magic to defend, rather than attack. Injustice of any kind is going to result in a negative reaction on his part, particularly on a systemic level (privileged versus oppressed groups). Overall, this isn't likely to result in physical violence, whether it involves magic or not. He's more likely to make scathing remarks than throw a punch/magic fireball.

    WAR ATTITUDES: Magnus would be interested in constructive work, whether this means building up the city or helping with missions. He'd be equally likely to engage in both. Community contributions may help to explain this more clearly, but in short, he's willing to use his skills in whatever way will be most useful. He's spent time in a peaceful environment and engaged in pursuits geared more toward community-building (Eudio: running Pandemonium, doing individual magical contracts) and also lived in an environment at war (Brooklyn: fighting Valentine, protecting the Downworld) and both of these very recently.

    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Magnus won't be forming any new romantic relationships, but he's opened up a lot more to the idea of a broader range/number of friendships since his introduction in season one. Add in his time in Eudio and he's positively affectionate with people he cares for, having grown more open in general thanks to his relationships, romantic and otherwise. He won't keep people at a professional distance by default, though he will probably be cautious when it comes to new faces. In the end, he wants to help and he'll extend that help willingly to anyone, but he'll always be the most protective of his family.

    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Magnus' magic creates a lot of opportunities. One thing I think he'd want to help with is transportation/exploration via portal. He's good with potions and healing as well, so he'd be keen to offer those services. Practical, concrete offerings related to his magic are going to be the first things he thinks to contribute. It's possible he'll think of more permanent ideas once he's been around a little while, but the immediate focus would be on helping people achieve some stability, whatever that means.

    BACKGROUND:
    Barclay was born in Brisol, 1692, in abject poverty, at a time when death tolls due to disease and unsafe work were astronomical. His parents were killed by these factors and he was left to an orphanage that was overflowing at the seams. He lived a very dog-eat-dog life until he met Cassidy Hawking, who was a younger boy in the merchant class and befriended him despite their differences. They ran smol heists together and Barclay was invited over for Christmasses and over events, despite the concerns of Cassidy's parents. Cass even taught him to read.

    It fell apart in 1707. At 15, Barclay and Cassidy were beset by a pressgang on the docks, adult men prepared to abduct them both into service at sea. They got Cassidy free, but the men's hold was too good on Barclay-- and Cassidy fled. He had no other choice, but it sparked a grudge in Barclay's heart.

    Life got better for awhile before it became worse. Barclay was a natural seaman and it was inevitable the Navy got him once he looked of age. He joined Queen Anne's war against the Spanish and did very well for himself, learning to blend in with those better read, to shoot better, eventually the business of killing, itself. Well-paid and attractively uniformed, he started to think in terms of having a real future. Returning to Bristol, he discovered Cassidy and his father had deserted the Hawking family to work as privateers— pirates!-- and he felt both disgusted and betrayed. He courted Cassidy's sister, Magdalene, promising to wed her once the war was done.

    Unfortunately, the end of the war meant the Navy had no more use for him, who'd come off the street. He ended his relationship with Magda and went back to sailing and the long voyages were hazardous and gruelling, leaving him with scurvy and malnutrition. The breaking point was when he lost a tooth, weakened by disease. Something inside him snapped and he finally turned to the only lifestyle that offered the potential for enough pay to be worth this: piracy, even though it disgusted him.

    His pirate career lasted awhile. Fortunately, he had a stomach for killing after the war; his soul felt empty. However, his captain was not a wise man and the Navy caught up to them sooner than later. Barclay's crew was offered a deal: help them capture Cassidy Hawking, now a truly notorious pirate, or be executed. Barclay took the deal and infiltrated Cassidy's people, befriending his young friend again— painful on all counts. However, when the Navy's trap sprung, they reneged on Barclay, condemning him back to the noose. So like a traitor to be betrayed.

    It's there that the Eudio representatives (CRAU) came for Barclay. He accepted an incentive to get his life back in order, to have peace and freedom, a queit life without the threat of execution.

    Eudio itself was a culture shock. Barclay had thought all the kindness and softness had been worn out of him,
    but the city showed him it was not so. It started off rough, of course— a fish out of water, he met Cassidy there and they reacted to each other in rage, ending up in jail their first night. Soon after, however,
    Barclay made friends-- vampires, faeries, sky pirates, and other Europeans from times before his. He even inherited the Aerie from a Eudian, a vast dock with equipment to repair and build ships-- including airships. He reconciled with Cassidy and fell in love with Kenzi Malikov (in-game).

    EXIT STRATEGY: An Naval battalion of crimson soldiers set upon Barclay at his dock-side place of work, the Aerie, from the sea. Barclay fought and fell into the water. He was pulled under and then came up offshore from Xistentia, with water in his lungs but unharmed and very much alive.
    MORALITY: Barclay thinks of himself as amoral, but that's become less and less true since Eudio, which pried off the callous, cynical expectations and buried his thirst for revenge. He is still rather grey in many ways, prepared to lie, cheat, steal, or kill if it means his survival or that of anyone he loves. However, he odes occasionally stop up against granules of honor or old-fashioned gentlemanly notions that he kept since Naval service. He tends to avoid hurting women and children, certainly, which is inextricably connected to sexist and ageist stereotypes. He has other minor blind spots too-- race, class, all that.
    WAR ATTITUDES: Pressganged into military service as a child, Barclay grew up around military men then joined the war himself once he was old enough. He fought the Spanish for Queen Anne and is familiar with many aspects of war, including the corruption of bureaucracy and expendableness of minions such as he, and how ugly and dishonorable many aspects of combat are— a far cry from the dress uniforms and talk of gentlemanly conduct.
    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Barclay is currently in an official relationship with Kenzi, who arrived in the first wave. Despite the gap in time, he is very much invested in this. They were in the midst of negotiating the boundaries of exclusivity, so that remains unclear-- he's a malleable fellow as long as he knows he comes first in her heart. However, he is more open now to having close friends and good allies than ever before, having done much healing in Eudio.
    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: In Eudio, Barclay inherited a workshop and repair station for ships of all types... including steampunk-style airships! Although he stuck mostly to work with aquatic vessels, he started to study up and explore increasing interest in other types of transport and mechanical learning. In Xistentia, he is likely to focus on soldiering (defense, adventure), seafaring (watching the sea for enemy action, as well as fishing, exploring), hunting, and renewing his relationship with Kenzi.

    EXIT STRATEGY: Hydaelyn the Mothercrystal took Aymeric from his world and plopped him into Xistentia. The presumed apocalyptic situation would be Shinryu and Omega waking up again in Gyr Abania and bringing about the next great Calamity/ushering in a new Umbral Era. Which is kind of maybe sort of his fault.
    MORALITY: Aymeric is someone who by and large would be considered 'lawful good.' Being in the position that he is requires an understanding and respect of the governing bodies in place. Still, when said governing bodies are absolutely wrong and twisted the truth to have things work out in their favor he has no qualms with going chaotic good and taking matters into his own hand.
    WAR ATTITUDES: Considering Ishgard has been involved in battle with the Dravanians for eons before Amyeric was even born, he was raised with an intimate understanding of the strife of war. Ending the Dragonsong War (with no small amount of help from the Warrior of Light) is his legacy and so he is not afraid to fight when necessary and do what must be done to ensure peace and stability.
    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: While he is quite popular among the nobility of Ishgard for his good looks and pragmatic nature, Aymeric isn't one that has had much interest in relationships of the romantic sort. His most intimate relationships are with the long-term friendships he'd made in Estinien, Haurchefant, and Lucia. More recently added to that roster, but definitely no less important, is his proclaimed 'dear friend' the Warrior of Light. While his position in Ishgard as Lord Commander can sometimes make the divide between him and more common folk seem vast, he is in reality very humble, down to earth man who will likely be happy to make friends with those of the community if given the opportunity.
    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: He's the (technical) leader of the city-state of Ishgard and before that was Lord Commander of the Temple Knights. He is no stranger to being in positions of authority and versed in both physical and political contention. He will likely fall easily into a leadership role and use his experience in diplomacy to make sure that people of the community are happy and getting along.

    He is also used to running things on a much larger scale, so. He'll probably pick up at least one if not various Disciple of Hand/Land jobs. Maybe be a weaver, make some nice baskets and whatever. It'll be great!

    Within Eudio, Nico was quick to adapt to the setting. After hooking up with Vex, a dark fae, to lose his virginity, it quickly became easy for Nico to have sex with others. He maintained his cool and somewhat creepy exterior personality, but began to open up more and more to others, especially as he began to make friends. With the arrival of Percy Jackson, with whom Nico had originally had been in love, Nico soon found himself falling back in love with the son of Poseidon despite having a relationship with Will Solace.

    Nico struggled with having a relationship with both, but eventually and thanks to Will, was able to accept that he was in love with both of them. Meanwhile, his relationship with Vex deepened considerably as they became very close friends. Other relationships include those with Loki (616), Rafa, and Kavinsky, though the relationship with the latter was a bit strained.


    POWERS:

    ›› Geokinesis → can control the earth to raise rocks and stone, cause earthquakes strong enough to destroy buildings and create large fissures in the ground.

He can speak to the dead telepathically, release souls of the living, and determine if a person is near death. He can manipulate ghosts, and reduce living people (including other demigods) into ghosts and banish them to the Underworld.
    ›› Fear Aura → can generate an intense aura of fear and death around him. The more upset he is the stronger this aura becomes and can cause an intense cold to spread around him.
    ›› Death Trance → can put himself in a trance by eating seeds of pomegranates from Persephone's garden in the Underworld. This trance allows him to survive without air, food, or water aside from the seeds.
    ›› Osteokinesis → can raise and manipulate bones.
    ›› Umbrakinesis → can manipulate darkness and shadows. He can shoot darkness, create clouds and shields, or use shadows to heal minor wounds. He can travel vast distances by jumping between shadows (Shadow Traveling). However, if he exerts himself he could slip into a coma or disappear entirely.
    ›› Hypnokinesis → can travel through dreams or force people to sleep with deep dreams. He sleeps deeply as well, using sleep to heal and regain energy after using his powers.

    EXIT STRATEGY:

    As Eudio began to fall apart (in a combination of stormy skies and earthquakes that made him wonder if the gods had finally arrived), Nico was able to grab hold of his boyfriend, Will, and with what he basically had on him, ported them both to a new location. Problems arose, however, and in the Void, Nico was separated from Will ( who arrived safely but before him ). Eventually, Nico escapes the shadows as well, but only after too long spent within them. He'll arrive a bit worse for wear, but otherwise okay.


    MORALITY:

    Chaotic Good. Nico tends to be the kind of person who will ultimately do the right thing, but on his own terms and no one else's. He's spent much of his life separated from others, prompting a darker outlook. Coupled with his background as Death's own son, Nico has a firm sense of justice, however is often unwilling to measure it out himself as he believes that every person is responsible for their own actions. He's protective of innocents and people he cares about, but if he feels he has to kill someone for the greater good, he's not above doing so.


    WAR ATTITUDES:

    Nico has lived through at least 3 wars by now. He was born at the advent of WW2, in Italy, where certain attitudes taught Nico about the world. His mother was eventually a casualty, which likely built his belief in protecting others and Nico is not afraid of fighting. He's even willing to sacrifice himself in certain circumstances; he was willing to sacrifice his own health to assassinate someone waging war on his camp, even though he didn't feel any particular affinity towards that camp. He also is a skilled warrior who combines swordsmanship with necromancy when he needs to.


    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS:

    Thanks to his time spent in Eudio, Nico actually enjoys intimate relationships. He has one with his boyfriend Will Solace as well as with a few others. He needs no prompting to be intimate and even seeks it on occasion.


    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS:

    As the son of Hades, Nico is adept at caring for the dead, such as providing burials/shroud burnings, caring after graveyards, putting spirits to rest, and the like. He's also good with fighting and thus would be a good guard. Though he's not prone to leading, he will if necessary and if he has a strong enough belief that he is needed.     EXIT STRATEGY: Just moments after Tamsin left the clubhouse and Bo behind for the night, the ground shook beneath her feet, eventually cracking down the middle of the road. It was like the worst earthquake imaginable and when she turned back to the clubhouse, desperate to get back to the people she cared about, but was greeted instead by a portal with no view whatsoever of the clubhouse. Seeing no other way out, and hearing what could only be the destruction of said clubhouse, Tamsin jumped through the portal after what felt like an eternity (but was only really about ten seconds) of hesitation. Unsure where the portal was meant to go, she was bumped unceremoniously into the ocean outside of Xistentia, wondering and worrying that she'd left her friends to die.
    MORALITY: Tamsin is Dark Fae, which means that she does whatever she needs to do to get the job done and doesn't care too much about the moral or legal consequences. She doesn't outright murder people - at least without a reason - but certainly doesn't mind roughing them up a bit. Or a lot. She does have a conscience, however, and feels deep regret for the pact she made with the Wanderer regarding Bo (though arguably that's because they have a connection now). Tamsin is looking to actually redeem herself in her final life, realizing that time is running out to be a good person and make amends for the wrongs she's committed. It's a path of growth for her and as she continues along it, she begins growing a stronger and more defined moral code.
    WAR ATTITUDES: Tamsin will be on the front lines of any war, so long as she feels the cause is just and good. She's a Valkyrie; she's drawn by the call of battle, and not just because she and her sisters take the souls of those lost during battle to Valhalla.
    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Tamsin is not afraid of embracing her sexuality at all; casual sex is something she enjoys quite a bit, with either gender. It's the emotions that get really tricky, especially since she'll be coming in at a time when she's got strong romantic feelings for Bo developing. She's slow to befriend people but when she does, she's a loyal and reliable person to have around and tends to spend a lot of time with those closest to her. She's prickly and abrasive, and definitely no stranger to negative relationships, so she'll be a good character for engagement all the way around.
    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Tamsin will probably join up with any kind of police force/guard force that develops, or will offer to teach self-defense and combat lessons. She's got a lot of skills that could help protect people, and I could see her doing something like that in an effort to redeem herself for past fuck-ups.

    Some people, when faced with the pavement under their feet crumbling and a sparkling hole of some sort opening up in the air, would have assumed they were flirting with insanity.

    Mandy Slade, however, had flirted with insanity enough through the years--as a matter of fact given her previous marriage, she was absolutely certain she'd fucked it--to be able to generally tell dreams and hallucinations from cold harsh reality. She'd had plenty of nightmares full of blood and screaming, certainly--another thing she could than her darling ex husband for, the dreams of bloody feathers that fell all around her while gorgeous, awful people laughed at her pain. But none of her nightmares ever took place in the dirty, grey, real streets of New York. And she hadn't even had a beer yet today, so couldn't even pin it on an altered state. Not even when she went through the sparkling portal, because it was there and seemed to offer some sort of hope and despite the shit state of her life she didn't actually want to die.

    Besides, she'd learned better than some of the screaming people around her that when you saw a chance to jump from a burning ship, no matter how dark or deep or fucking impossible that ocean beneath you was, you took it. Why else would 'the divine Miss Mandy Slade' have been working at a dive bar for going on nine years, if it hadn't been preferable to the alternative?

    And while she didn't have any expectations as to where she'd be landing, not like when she'd used up almost all of her money for her escape back to the US, she certainly hadn't been expecting to land in water. She wished she'd had the mental or physical energy to make a clever quip about being wet, but she'd pin it down to shock that all she'd been able to do was stumble out of the water towards what she hoped would eventually yield to civilization. Of course it had just been trees. A forest. A bloody forest. Maybe this wans't better than death after all; she'd had her fill of the outdoors for a lifetime during those shite festivals Cecil had roped Brian into.

    Despite that rush of memory of being poor but happy in that crappy little field, Mandy found herself disturbingly calm as she leaned against a tree to get her bearings. It all should have been too much. She should have been cracking up. And maybe a few years ago she would have, when she realized that the small flittering lights with wings stayed in the air far too long to be the result of a possible concussion or that the siamese cat that sat down in front ofher had started to talk in full, clear sentences. But now, just a day after spinning the tale of the best and worst years of her life to that lovely little reporter who had actually seemed to really give a damn, it didn't seem like enough. Not when the old wounds of that day she'd believed Brian to be dead and the uncountable ones that had followed when she had sometimes wished she was were still reopened and stinging.

    So, when the cat...thing explained what the hell was going on in the sort of voice that made her think for one hysterical moment that of that robot from Lost In Space, Mandy simply pinched the bridge of her nose once, took a deep breath, and laughed humorlessly.

    "Of course. We spend...what, thirty years threatening each other with nukes, and some damn evil computer beats us all to the punch?" Her mouth twisted in a sad smirk as she shook her head "Well. At least this means we won't be trying to survive another damn term under Reynolds." Her chest ached as she said that though, thinking of Brian. Tommy. Whoever the hell he was now, if he was anyone at all. Then she sighed, pushing herself up off the tree she'd been leaning against to get the world to stop spinning so horribly. "Right then. Seeing as I've only got half a pack of smokes left, I suppose I'd best find what's left of civilization, or whatever this is."

    In-Universe:

    EXIT STRATEGY: Mandy was starting on her way to the club where she worked when New York City began falling apart under the weight of earthquakes and torrential winds, and she just happened to be in the right place to see a sparking tear in the skin of the universe. Whether it was thanks to her years living with someone who believed they were an actual alien or the fact she didn't actually have a death wish that day, she did her best to forget about all the terrified strangers around her and jumped.
    MORALITY: Having been in an open marriage and done every manner of drug avaialble, Mandy's moral philosophy is basically if it's not hurting someone else and it feels good, do it. 'What hurts someone else' could be very subjective, of course, and things like petty theft really don't bother her. However, living through the 70s and 80s as a bi woman and running in circles with drag queens and other sexual/gender minorities who stuck out and were often the victims of violence, verbal/physical acts of homophobia, racism etc will likely set her off (probably into swearing a blue streak and possibly giving a beating with her handbag to the perpetrator)
    WAR ATTITUDES: Given that the happiest time in her life involved being in a culture that was all about free love (for a given interpretation of that word), and the current horrible conservative politics around her, at heart Mandy is against 'war' in general. However, having fought with words and flash for sexual freedom and seeing the beginnings of AIDS activism, she does believing in fighting for what is important--not a country, a political leader, but people. So while the tiny idealistic spark that is still buried inside her will be resistant, when she realizes what's at stake, she'll do her best to throw herself in even if she'll have no idea what she'd oing.
    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: While she's been burned horribly by her ex husband and their disastrous open marriage, Mandy still believes in the revolution they were working towards in the beginning, truly free love without fear of repercussion for everyone. Although she'll shy away from deep emotional attachments and will be considerably more jaded than she was in her youth, having come out of New York in the early days of the AIDS epidemic will leave her eager for safe intimate connections, so she will probably throw herself into sex freely, but if she feels herself or the other party getting too attached emotionally will probably pull away as she is reminded of the last time she fell head over heels and crashed in a way she still hasn't fully recovered from.
    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: While not a fighter with her body, Mandy is good with words and flair, having been her ex-husband's only promoter and manager for the first years of their relationship, and while not quite as flamboyant as her ex she could easily drum up a crowd if needed for community announcements or to rally people together. Until being replaced by Shannon, Mandy was also the 'wardrobe mistress' for her ex-husband and his band, meaning she is good with words and drawing a crowd, as well as making and repairing clothing.

    POWERS: • Healing - Thom can heal others through touch. Notable things he's healed in canon include: cancer, complete obliteration (i.e. separated into molecules), severed limbs, broken bones, burns, a dead plant.
    • Invulnerability - Thom has a degree of invulnerability because of his healing powers as its an unconscious ability, he also can't get sick. Notable injuries of his own that are healed in the novel: severed achilles tendon, ruptured femoral artery, fractured neck, punctured eyeballs.
    • Energy transmutation - Thom acts as a battery when he heals and this energy can be used to gain other superhuman abilities listed below (At his canon point for entry in Xistentia Thom is unaware of this so a significant event would need to happen in game where he'd be required to heal a lot of people / repeatedly heal himself before they're 'unlocked')

    In-Universe:

    EXIT STRATEGY: Thom's canon involves an alien monster called a 'World Eater' dormant within Wilson tower who's heart can actually be used as a battery - if exploded it could be used to travel to another part of the universe. For the purposes of Xistentia I've decided the World Eater's heart has been used as a corridor in order for D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. agents to be able to invade their world as an armada and as Thom is the only one with access to the World Eater's heart (you need to simultaneously be able to withstand extreme heat and repeated stabbing / slicing as the cavern around the World Eater's heart is sharp as glass and needs to be burned away), he's gone in to detonate it internally in order to try create a polarity effect and pull the D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. agents back through, sacrificing himself to the polarity effect in the process.

    MORALITY: Thom has a Superhero's code of ethics, in his perception as such he is a force of 'good', he holds judgement over other people and would probably go as far as killing for 'the greater good' or even for having a good enough reason to do so. He would turn to violence and has done so in the past. Canonically speaking Thom has beaten two men nearly to the point of death for graverobbing (in this instance, trying to rob the grave of one of Thom's only friends) and attempted to stab one through the heart with a set of garden shears but was stopped by a vigilante.

    WAR ATTITUDES: Thom would find a happy balance between the 'living his life' and 'fighting a war' aspects of Xistentia. He is, after all, a superhero in his own world and wouldn't give up that kind of role easily. He is by nature a fighter and canonically speaking is part of the squad that takes down the big villain of the novel. The stark difference in societies from Thom's homeworld and Xistentia will mean that he will have more of a desire to build a life than before as he will no longer be public enemy number one. Despite the fact that he's been generally mistreated by his own people Thom will be more than willing to fight for the 'greater good' and in order to save his home world. He is also the son of two superheroes, though his dad is the most hated superhero on his home planet for his failure to save the wilson tower when the World Eater first struck, leading to the death of hundreds of civilians. Thom has been fighting most of his life to prove himself and this would be reflected in his attitudes towards the war.

    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Thom is by and large a dreamer, especially within a romantic capacity. Although its important to note that in his canon point he hasn't had any significant relationships romantically speaking or really even platonically, he fantasises a lot about having a husband and happy relationship as an adult despite the complications caused by his homosexuality. Also as the son of the most hated superhero in his home world he found it incredibly difficult to form friendships or significant relationships even among his peers. Although he's on the basketball team he at no stage references any actual friends and the only other relationships he forms within the novel are by coincidence (for example, his squad mates with the League of Heroes). Later though canonically Thom finds a boyfriend which proves that while he hasn't had much of a chance to work on these things, he is more than capable. Thom will not have been followed into the game with the terrible reputation that he has both from his father and the fact that he lives in a heavily homophobic society (which thanks to recent events is heavily focused on Thom with regards to its judgement) and as such it would be a 'fresh start' for him and he would take full advantage of that.

    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Thom's community contributions would take many forms. For example, as a healer he could have a huge contribution with regards to healing living matter effected by the war be it people or even plants (as he's canonically shown to revive a flower from death). He would also like to continue working as superhero through any 'heroic' deeds that arrived during his time in the city. On a less 'super' level however Thom is also canonically a teacher at his local community centre where he helps immigrant kids with their literacy and numeracy, this could be another level which he could help as something separate from his superhero persona.

    BACKGROUND:
    Janus comes from a world where myths and legends are true. Greek gods walk the Earth, either in their togaed bodies or in reincarnated high schooler bodies; trees talk and think, angels visit from Heaven, and Cthulhoid beings hail the coming void. Humans live among them too, with contemporary technology and a variety of attitudes. Coexistance between the mundane and the supernatural is fraught with conflict, but moments of great harmony as well.

    Janus is a member of a race called Hunters, artificially created by witches to keep the peace, protect humans, and punish wrongdoing myths who get out of hand. Hunters themselves are a heterogenous group, produced out of trees linked to leyline energy, and each one shaped by Fate to mimic their "daimon," another myth somewhere in the world, and each Hunter is bound to their daimon in inscrutable ways. For example, if a daimon is killed, the Hunter always dies; if a daimon loses an arm, the Hunter will lose theirs within a month. In this way, Hunters are enforced by magic law to be selfless and dedicated to their creed. Daimons may be any creature, from enormous trolls to immortal vampires. Janus' daimon is a harpy, generally regarded with derision.

    This stigma characterized most of Janus' childhood. Upon creation in Florida, they were adopted by two very old and very powerful Hunters. One of them had the daimon of the First Tree of an ancient European forest, who was slowly dying due to pollution; the other a Phoenix, truly immortal. Training started very early, and Janus' daimon connection was soon exposed thanks to the fact they appeared like an adult human by the age of 7, consistent with harpy physiology. They were soon shunned by the other children in their clan. Their mothers never turned against them, but Janus could tell that Phoenix was silently heartbroken by the realization she would soon be alone, her wife dying slowly of poisons, and harpies limited to human lifespan and mediocre potency. Their home was a strange place, not quite right for a child-- if any Hunter home could be, but filled with love in its own way.

    Janus threw themself into their training, replacing all hope of a normal childhood and ordinary relationships with the determination to be the best they could possibly be. Fortunately, they did have one friend: Jana, a Hunter from a traveling Clan based in Australia. She was a few years older than them, and taught them to channel their anger and disappointment into cleverness, to use their smaller frame and greater quickness against hunters stronger than them. Janus' hard work and diligence gradually paid off. Other Hunters in their generation faltered, succumbing and growing distracted with the call of the human world and other temptations: sex, money, art, petty in-clan rivalry, the desires for adopting families of their own. Janus, on the other hand, excelled. They had their first kill at eleven, and were shot for the first time by twelve.

    The only thing Janus lagged behind in was social skills... and everything associated with that. Infiltration techniques, learning to adopt false identities to live in the human world and safeguard humanity, were not their forte at all-- they were terribly polite, but also tremendously awkward. The whole Clan knew it, and allowed Janus to play exclusively to their strengths.

    This changed when they turned 16. They were sent to Mythian Academy, a high school off the coast of Portugal for myths, the first of their kind allowed at the institution. It was a great honor. This was their first long-term assignment, and their objective was to protect the school from hostiles, especially an infamous selkie who sought to raise the sea level and drown the world. It seemed straightforward and tactical, and they had always liked academia. However, Janus soon found themself struggling with friendships and crushes, learning to let down their guard and competitiveness long enough to accept other hunters, to accept help in their mission. Jana came to the Academy too, offering guidance that they were ready to accept. It wasn't long before they were in love for the first time, broke other people's hearts, before having their heart broken themself.

    Janus had fallen for their roommate, a handsome wizard by the name of Arel, who turned out not to be a wizard after all. Instead, he was a hunter, who accidentally exposed himself when he almost died during an ancient ritual to save another lover. Polyamory, Janus had gotten quite accustomed to. What they could not tolerate, was the realization that love had dulled their hunter instincts, blinded them, not only to the simple facts of Arel's deceit, but also to the risk of pain, foolishness, compromised judgment. They had watched dozens of other Hunters make the same mistake. Enraged at first, Janus' temper turned quickly to humiliation. They concluded their assignment after seven months without further sign from Sylwia, signing over their post to another Hunter, and returned home to their Clan in Florida.

    Eight years passed. They never forgot the lessons they learned at Mythian, about how to be comfortable with their body and gender identity, how to recognize and even keep friendships overseas, how to sit with terrible personal regret and pain. But they had also learned to protect themself from harm and be ever aware of their true values and priorities. They have taken mission after mission and risen up the ranks of their Clan, ever the dedicated Hunter.

    POWERS:
    • Hunter physiology:
      1. Sync: Hunters are physically 'synchronized' with their daimon in many ways. On the upside, this means regeneration include recreation of severed limbs, taking a month (presumably their daimon Jay is "frozen in time" sound of body). Additionally, Janus experiences "heat"/aphrodisiac symptoms several times a year, though they have good self-control.
      2. Sword: Hunters can create swords out of the energy of their own being. These swords tend to glow and be very strong. Once damaged or destroyed, they can be regenerated easily.
      3. Rituals: This is an open-ended category based on manipulating ley energy. The only established ritual is about restoring the memories of other Hunters if their energy signature has been "corrupted." These rituals may be high-risk depending on the nature of them. This player will submit a plot request any time a ritual is used or invented; they are not ICly utilized lightly.
      4. Talismans: Hunters can create talisman objects from the bodies of other supernatural beings that allows them to copy make inferior, one-time (i.e., one thread) "spells" based on the target's abilities. For example, vampire blood can lead to 30 minutes of superstrength, a lock of elf hair may grant a single healing spell. This power requires OOC opt-in.
    • Harpy connection: Janus has several Harpy abilities. They can fly, and optionally shapeshift into a form with a beak and feathery wings (not required for flight). They are unusually strong and fast (dead lift 1 ton, flight at 80 MPH, running at 30 MPH). Janus also has a "harpy screech," which can knock beings unconscious at full strength or cause injury to eardrums. It requires good aim.
    • Training: Some of these abilities are enhanced by rigorous tactical training. They are an expert murderer with a variety of weapons.

    STARTING EQUIPMENT:
    1. Daemon: Sword, named "Janad." This sword looks identical to their normal Hunter weapon, but is not actually indestructible. And you know. Talks.
    2. Semi-automatic pistol .45, full cartridge of ammunition (12 rounds)

    4. The following talisman spells: 1 medium healing spell, 1 resurrection spell, 1 fireball spell, 1 telepathy spell (can be fended off with willpower), 3 forcefield spells (max 30 minutes duration); they also have 1 world-hopping, teleportation spell drawn as a "rune" on their hand, which cannot be used without mod permission. In general, these will not be rechargeable unless they obtain more in-game.

      In-Universe:

      EXIT STRATEGY: Janus' homeworld literally caught on catastrophic fire, terrifying burning storms that ripped apart forests and people alike. It started in Europe and then began to cross the sea. Half of Janus' Clan was decimated trying to fight the effects but they were at home with their mother, the Tree, who drew a rune on their hand to save them. Unexpectedly, they were sucked out into the Prison World.
      MORALITY: Honor and killing go hand in hand for Janus, who lives by an extremely rigid code of conduct. They protect humans first and foremost, followed by myths or other supernatural beings who are not harmful to humans (e.g., only feed upon them with consent or not at all, etc.). For beings that proactively hurt and kill humans, and to a lesser extent other supernaturals, Janus acts with great prejudice. Murderous prejudice! The extenuating circumstances of F.A.T.E.S. will allow them to make some exceptions in-game. However, their default attitude is to research then destroy beings that violate this code, essentially the Morality Police of the mythological world. As Hunters go, Janus is more black-and-white and a stickler than most, judgemental even if they do not receive a kill or capture assignment. All that aside, they are almost always honest to the point of bluntness, polite, forthright, and considerate. With the exception that: all bets are off on the mission. Additionally, when they lose their temper or sustain injury to their pride, they can be an over-emotional asshole.
      WAR ATTITUDES: As above, Janus was raised to hunt and kill, but not out of any bloodthirsty malice-- they are motivated by honor, the ideal of sacrifice in the interest of protecting other beings. Paradoxically, they both idealize their calling and are completely clear about the reality of it. They are aware that their creed means they would (at this stage) not raise a hand against a human even to protect themself, and they're aware too that humans themselves are often violent and terrible beings. This fight against D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. lends itself very well to Janus' code, as D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. and its agents seem anything but human, and they are accustomed to risking their life on behalf of people they will never meet.
      INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Physical and sexual intimacy come easily to Janus. They can be hilariously awkward, but have studied the ritual of bar-hopping and one night stands very closely and they enjoy such activities. They are also fairly skilled with friendships and camraderie, to the extent that that is exactly how they think about it-- a skill, with navigable procedures, expectations of reciprocity, etc. When it comes to falling in love, Janus is considerably pickier and more paranoid, fearful of reliving old heartache. They might catch romantic feelings unwittingly, and be extremely reluctant to act on them. But that isn't to say they're incapable of love and intimacy. They are willing with plenty of that, interested in sacrifice and beneficence; they just happen to have hard-learned limits.
      COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Janus isn't much of a builder, they're more of a fighter and adventurer and explorer. However, they secretly love flowers and have a bit of a green thumb, which could benefit from some cultivation.

    Wyatt grew up in a version of Earth where werewolves, vampires, and other supernatural creatures live alongside humans. For most of this world's history, humans were unaware of the existence of the others. However, this changed when a pair of vampires, Rafaello d'Este and Nikolai Rurikid, revealed themselves, along with their coven, to the humans. This took place within Wyatt's lifetime; he was a young child when it happened. The world that Wyatt has grown up in is one that is still acclimatising to this revelation; humans know that they are not alone, and some are more friendly towards their supernatural brethren than others.

    Wyatt was born a werewolf, and grew up as part of a wolf pack that travelled around the country and rarely stayed in any one place for too long. This was a deliberate choice of their pack Alpha, who was wary of humans and how they might react to the pack. As a result, Wyatt had very little contact with humans in his early years, and was strictly taught not to approach them in his wolf form. He learned early on how to control his lupine instincts, and the pack's avoidance of humanity was strictly enforced.

    This didn't always sit well with the young Wyatt. Naive and inexperienced, he looked at the human world as something to be desired, and as he grew older he resented his pack Alpha for keeping him from it. While still a young teenager, he challenged one decision too many and found himself accused of challenging the authority of the Alpha. Wyatt had regrets before they even started to fight, but it was too late to take back what he'd said. He was forced to fight, and lost badly. As a result, he found himself ejected from his pack, and was forced to strike out on his own.

    He quickly discovered the human world was not as welcoming as he'd hoped. Angry with himself for what he'd lost, he tried to seek a new pack. He'd never been alone before, and though he didn't want to admit it, he was afraid. He spent a couple of years living rough in human towns, keeping more or less to the nomadic lifestyle he'd always been taught. Eventually he found something of a place for himself on the streets of New York, where he fell in with a group of other young people with nowhere else to go. He got involved in petty crime, earning cash to survive by selling drugs, fake IDs, alcohol and other contraband.

    While living there, he was found by the werewolf Hunter, who was visiting the city as an envoy for the Kingdom of Vampires. Wyatt at first was distrustful, wary of involving himself with vampires in general, and unsure of whether he was willing to risk things going poorly with another pack. However, he still missed being part of a pack, and eventually he agreed to go with Hunter. He was brought to a pack whose alpha was Hunter's mate, Henry, and which included not only ordinary werewolves, but werewolves who had become hybrids with vampires, too. Many of them had also lost their original packs, and had created a new life as allies of the Kingdom. Wyatt was convinced that he might have a second chance here, and was adopted into the pack. Hunter and Henry became like adoptive parents to Wyatt, and gave him a new surrogate family. Wyatt will come to Xistentia shortly after finding his place there, thus losing his home for the second time.

    Note: I also play Rafaello d'Este in game, who is part of Wyatt's world and is one of the kings in the Kingdom he lives in. Wyatt's interactions in that world are primarily with the other werewolves, mainly Hunter and Henry, and the friends he makes there. His interactions with Rafa are minimal and always handwaved since I play them both; they are mainly connected through both of them having an attachment to Hunter. Wyatt chiefly sees Rafa as his King, while Rafa sees him as a subject and someone important to Hunter. While they care about each other and are loyal to each other, this is as far as their relationship goes. Their interactions would continue to be handwaved here.

    POWERS:

    Wyatt is a werewolf. This means:

    Powers

    • Wolf shift: Wyatt can transform into a wolf. He must turn at the full moon, but can shift willingly at other times. He is twice the size of a normal wolf and is stronger and faster, able to lift approximately 1 ton.

    • Physical enhancements: Werewolves have enhanced regeneration, strength, speed, and senses. These are more powerful when they shift. They have nightvision, ultrasonic hearing, can track by scent, and heal without a scar.

    • Pack bond: Werewolves have an innate desire to form packs. They become attached to packmates, developing a mental link that helps them communicate. Packs are hierarchical; wolves will answer to an alpha, and react to more dominant personalities. Broken pack bonds are very damaging; the loss of Wyatt's first pack left him with lasting trauma.

    • Infectious bite: Bites that break the skin are infectious, and can turn people into werewolves. Wyatt is strongly opposed to turning others and is unlikely to do it while in his right mind. This power will be included in his permissions post.


    Weaknesses

    • Harmful substances: Werewolves can be burned or poisoned by silver, wolfsbane, and certain cursed objects. Such injuries will heal more slowly and leave scars.

    • Sensory overload: A drawback to enhanced senses.

    • High metabolism: Wyatt needs a lot of fuel to keep himself going. It takes more to get him drunk, high, or tired than a typical human.

    • Biological urges: He has a heightened sexual awareness of werewolves experiencing heat. He knows enough about it to control himself, but the instinct is still there.

    • Loss of control: Wyatt has a very high degree of control over his shifting thanks to being raised among other werewolves. Under normal circumstances he does not present a threat to humans, though there is still potential for him to lose control.


    STARTING EQUIPMENT:
    • Daemon: A large black wolf, around twice the size of a normal wolf, and named 'Hunterd'. It looks exactly like the werewolf form of Wyatt's adoptive dad, Hunter.

    • Clothes: A pair of old, belted ripped jeans, faded sneakers, and a white t-shirt under a threadbare red hooded sweatshirt. All second hand, a little too big for him.

    • Wallet: Plain and black, containing a small amount of Czech cash, a credit card, and various fast food loyalty cards.

    BACKGROUND:
    Halcyon was born the son of two of the four gods in his world, one only known as Mother and another called Xia, the god of fate. While the child of a god and a human was called a demi-god, and many demi-gods existed, a child of two gods was called a godling. Demi-gods shared aspects with their god parents, but godlings were nearly full gods in their own right. While demi-gods and godlings were spread across the vast world of Avari, it was Elysium that was deemed the official home of these god children. Humans lived in this towering city as well, but demi-gods and godlings were far more abundant in this home always intended to be a safe haven for the children to live within. Which is likely what made the city the best initial target in the upcoming war.

    The war between humans and gods started when the humans in Elysium turned on the gods. While the strife with the gods didn't begin in Elysium, Elysium was the easiest target to bear the weight of humanity's anger. Mother was a smaller god of healing and fertility, her abilities made her unable to stop the massacre that started in her own home. While brief, the Twilight Massacre was bloody and claimed many lives of the demi-gods and godlings. The humans slaughtered the children in their homes and on the streets, killing any one of them within sight that they could find before the other three gods descended on the city. The Twilight Massacre did not end with the arrival of the gods. Instead it shifted, until all humans within the city were killed as punishment for their crimes.

    Made into martyrs, the rest of the world began to revolt. The children of the gods were the easiest targets. They were quick to find them and slaughter them before the children realized what was coming for them. They did not go quietly once they knew, though, and many stood to fight alongside their parents against the humans. It was when Xia fell, however, that the tide of battle really changed. No longer did humans openly attack the children, but instead quietly planned and strategized to kill the remaining gods. Leaving the easiest god for last, the humans finally came for Mother in the broken city of Elysium. The humans greatly underestimated Mother, however. The first god, the creator of all, Mother had stolen the essences of her fallen brethren to give herself strength. No human survived the assault on Mother.

    It took Mother little time to cow the humans under her rule. Where once Mother had been a loving goddess, she was now given the name of Mad Mother. No one was safe under rule, barely the demi-gods survived. Mother placed godlings in seats of power, ruling the five nations of Avari beneath her. When Halcyon, her direct child, came of age, he was given his own nation to rule.

    However, Halcyon had grown up watching the way the world had turned from a place of light to one of suffering and torment under his mother's rule as he'd grown. While he ruled his city easily at the age of 18, able to use his voice to calm or anger anyone to his desire, he spent a great deal of time preparing for the day when he could truly serve his people and set them free from his mother's rule.

    It was 7 years later that Halcyon enacted a plan with a group of rebels in his own nation. He struck at the heart of mother, using his godhood in an attempt to unseat her and kill her. Unfortunately, with the power of four gods in her Mother was not so easily dealt with. The rebels were killed, and Halcyon was punished for his part in the uprising. Stripped of his godhood, Halcyon was reduced to a demi-god. Though not in the same capacity. His power had been taken along with his voice, and instead he was gifted with new powers that made him wild and powerful.

    Made into a Hound, Halcyon's new life was at the end of a short leash serving his mother. Mother kept a group of demi-gods, reshaped in her will so that they were just barely above their base instincts. The Hounds hunted out all of Mother's enemies, dismantling them with sheer brutality. For two years, Halcyon has lived this life with no clear end in sight.

    POWERS:
    At base, Halcyon is like a human at peak physical condition. He can run fast, he's quite strong, and he can hear and see and smell very well. It's when Halcyon enters his 'berseker' state as a Hound that all of this gets amped further up. Using this tires Halcyon out greatly, however, and afterwards takes a great deal of rest and food to recover. He's skilled with guns and blades, as well, and will generally save his Hound state for when he's close to losing.

  • Strength: as a Hound, Halcyon has the strength to tear through buildings with his bare hands, his teeth, or even his sharpened claws.
  • Speed: when activated, Halcyon moves at nearly a blur. He wouldn't be faster than Superman or the Flash, but he's quite dexterous and with his heightened speed he's rougher to catch.
  • Durability: leftover from his godhood, Mother stripped him of his immortality but left his durability. After all, a tank like him would be useless if he could be felled too easily. Bullets, knives, etc, will pierce his skin. He's just able to shake most of these injuries off and keep going until they finally heal. This is only in effect if he's in his Hound mode when hit.
  • Enhanced healing factor: the larger the wound, the greater his healing enacts. A gift from the Mother of healing originally, larger wounds will heal up within minutes to an hour of the injury. The smaller but more damaging the wound, the more quickly he can heal from it. Bumps, scratches, bruises, unfatal wounds, however, will heal within a day or two rather than so quickly.
  • Enhanced senses: Halcyon has the ability to see at night much more clearly than most, so long as there's a light source somewhere. His sense of smell is that of a dog's, as is his hearing. Even his sense of test is greater, though touch is dulled to keep him from experiencing pain too much.

    In-Universe:

    EXIT STRATEGY: When his world was attacked by what appeared to be the gods risen again, Halcyon had thought Mother behind it all. He might still think he was right, if not for the fact that portals had opened under the feet of each of his pack members. They had the familiar glow of Mother beckoning the Pack to her, and the familiar inability to refuse her call. Halcyon and his pack had begun to vanish into the light, expecting answers from Mother about what was occurring. Instead, Halcyon arrived in Xistentia.
    MORALITY: Previously, Halcyon was lead by the ideal his name inspired. His mother had once been a goddess of such unity and love, that he wanted the world to return to that state. He was guided by the ideal that people are inherently good, and though bad things happen the good is meant to be the balance to that. He's always tried to lead by that example, especially having abilities that can manipulate that fine line so easily. He's never wanted to abuse his abilities in such a way that makes morality whatever he deems it to be, so he's decided he's had to have a moral code to live by just to keep himself in check. However, since the loss of his godling status and the stripping of his titles, Halcyon has been forced into a position he's never wanted to be in before. He's a hunter and an executioner, with no room for his morals. At his heart, his morals still exist. They've just been buried very deep down in himself to make him capable of doing what he's required to do. So while Halcyon may pretend at having no morals, may even act like it, deep down they're still there. He's just unsure of whether his morals can coexist in his current life anymore, and he's afraid of the danger they might bring.
    WAR ATTITUDES: Due to the way his current life is, Halcyon finds himself better suited to war and fighting than he did before. His skewed morals as of late make him a near perfect killing machine. And feeling that he's the best person to bear the brunt of that burden, that makes him more willing to volunteer for dangerous things and put himself on the front lines. If only to save others from having to be there, really. He could be talked out of fighting if the chance for negotiations are up. He does find fighting and killing a more quick and straightforward method, though. And will generally offer that option first.
    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Halcyon has had intimate relationships in the past. Due to his status in life, though, it's been hard for him to form any lasting relationships with anyone for any number of reasons in the past. Since then, his status has only gotten worse. Thus, the physical side of an intimate relationship seems easily accessible to him. When it comes to anything deep and emotional, he tends to be at a bit of a loss on how to form a proper connection. He wouldn't be opposed to idea of it, he's just never tried.
    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Unfortunately, he's been a bit of a pampered prince all his life. Impractical lessons were taught to him, but the art of farming, building, etc. has all been lost on him. His greatest skill that he can contribute is his hunting skills, followed closely by his ability to fight off most monsters and protect others. Anything beyond that that's really practical, he'd have to learn while in Xist.

    POWERS:
    → Toothiana is able to fly using her wings. Being half hummingbird, she is quick and agile during flight. Her wings are also as sharp as blades. She can use them when fighting if she needs to.
    → She has superhuman strength and agility. While she may not be as strong as, say, North you don't want to challenge her to an arm-wrestling contest. Her speed can make her seem like a blur to the regular eye sometimes but she is not always that quick.
    → Tooth is able to make miniature copies of herself. These tiny fairies are the ones who collect the teeth when she does not herself. The amount of them varies as they are equivalent to the amount of children's teeth that need to be gathered each night. She has a telepathic link with these tiny versions of her and can command them with only her mind.
    → Toothina and her fairies are the only ones able to unlock someone's memories using their teeth besides the person themselves.
    → She can speak every language that there is on Earth and also communicate with any Earth animals. She can learn other non-Earth languages, too, if given the opportunity and time.

    EXIT STRATEGY: Imagine a scenario where Pitch Black got exactly what he wanted: a world cold, dark, and full of nightmares. That's exactly what Toothiana is coming from. Despite her and her fellow Guardian's valiant efforts, they simply weren't strong enough to fight back against Pitch with belief in them dwindling to practically nothing. North managed to throw out a snow globe portal just before things took a turn for the worst. Toothiana, however, appears to be the only one to have made it to Xistentia (despite the appearance of her daemon, it's unfortunately not the Bunnymund she knows).
    MORALITY: Toothiana is an example of lawful good character. She has a strong sense of duty when it comes to her responsibilities as the Guardian of Memories. The woman also has no shortage of pride in her work. Sometimes to a fault. She also respects and follows strictly the code set by the Man in the Moon with regards to her title. Still, she is compassionate and cares deeply for the children she's been tasked with protecting. She would never do anything to harm them or to lessen their belief in her if she can help it.
    WAR ATTITUDES: The Sisters of Flight were known for the prowess in combat and Toothiana is not exception. She has her mother's warrior blood in her. As such, she will likely not hesitate to fight if the opportunity presents itself. And especially so if it threatens the safety of those present in Xistentia. Honestly, she'd probably prefer to be at the front lines and actively doing something to help restore her world instead of hanging back in the city.
    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Toothiana is a very tactile person to begin with. By nature, she is very affectionate when it comes to those she is familiar with and even those she's not. She doesn't seem to understand the concept of a 'personal bubble', as she has her hands on Jack Frost's shoulder (and also poking around his mouth) within minutes of meeting him. While very physically intimate, emotionally is a bit trickier. For one thing, she used to going unseen by anyone but children. She is also long-lived and spent most of her life independently. Even as part of the Guardians, they tend to operate on their own schedules and only see each other rarely. So it might be hard to get out of that mindset at first. That isn't to say she isn't friendly, however, and is certainly willing to give new relationships a chance. She'll likely be excited at the prospect of being seen by adults for the first time in centuries and actually able to make connections with others.
    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: While she is more suited to battle, Toothiana has some practical skills. She can craft jewelry out of gems and feathers, which a resident crafter (*cough*Era*cough*) might be able to turn into accessories to boost people's skills. And, of course, she will likely take on the task of being Xistentia's local dentistry expert! She'll make sure everyone is brushing their teeth, flossing, and just overall improve the quality of dental hygiene in this city. You're welcome.

    BACKGROUND:
    Planet Earth, 2017. The world is as you and I know it, the only difference being that supernatural myths and legends have more truth to them than we realize. These forces exist among us, but after centuries of persecution they hide their true nature. And for those of demonic origin, it's much easier to feed when your prey doesn't know you exist.

    In 1972, Ezekiel was born in a community of demons who feed on sex: Females are referred to as Succubi, or a Succubus, and males are Incubi, or an Incubus. Humans have spent centuries trying to warn of the existence of these creatures, and while many stories have been accurate, for the most part nobody really believes they're real. They live in secret and taught Ezekiel how to do the same. Interestingly enough, this community was also Christian (Protestant) and raised Ezekiel with these values (one of the Succubus' insisted she'd even met Jesus, so it only "made sense").

    Demonic communities, especially those with ties to feeding on humans, exist all over the world but particularly in highly populated areas. They tend to be highly supportive of each other, because through team-effort they're able to maintain their secrecy from humans as well as retain their history and culture. It's rare that demons live outside of the communities, they're typically social creatures, and children are raised by all of the adults of that community rather than only the birth parents. As such, Ezekiel believes in the "it takes a village" mentality, and enjoys close ties with his fellow demons.

    Raised in Hawaii, on island of Maui, he went through the human education system and learned how to blend in (easy for an Incubus, due to their natural 'charm' power). The tourism on the island provided a great opportunity for consequence-free feeding, as weakened humans rarely stayed long enough to raise any local alarms. As an adult, he was encouraged to explore other communities and forge new ties, as he would need them as he grew older - an immortal being couldn't stay in one community forever, as humans would grow suspicious of the fact that he stopped aging. At age eighteen, he relocated to Los Angeles, California. There he carved out a living as a Personal Trainer where he has been encouraging others to live healthy and energetic lives.

    A family man at heart, Ezekiel made his first attempt to establish one when he got married at age twenty. She was human, a "feed" that turned into a regular encounter which led to her eventual pregnancy, and so he thought he should marry her. Their marriage lasted two years before she divorced him due to discovering his infidelities (she wasn't aware of him being an Incubus). The demonic community said that it was for the best, that relationships with humans can never last because they're mortal, and helped him obtain full custody of his child. Subsequent relationships ended similarly, though without the trappings of marriage, and as a result he was the father of seven children by age forty-five (keep in mind: these are seven children he knows of and has full or partial custody of, this doesn't include children he wasn't told about). His children are his top priority in life (next to sex), but one day he does hope to have a lasting relationship.

    In his mid-twenties he moved to Mythian with his children, with hopes to raise them in an accepting environment with other non-humans. There he became the Physical Education teacher and naturally fit into the role of "community leader" for demons. He felt it was a good move because orphaned/abandoned demons usually ended up there, so he could raise them in a loving atmosphere and teach them to accept themselves. Recently he's been juggling his family and his personal life, such as falling in love with a young hunter named Janus who rejected him and making babies with two separate women.

    POWERS:

  • Charm — He seems to exude a natural "charisma". People tend to feel instantly comfortable with him and/or attracted to him. When he focuses this power, his touch can bring a sense of calm, or provoke arousal.
  • Dream Walking — While in a "trance" state, he can explore the dreams of others. Humans who sleep deeply are particularly susceptible to this power. Once inside, he can witness, participate in, and influence the dream.
  • Enthrallment — At the peak of his influence, after being with a person multiple times and after intense manipulation of their dreams, he can make a human his thrall - A slave to his will forever. This is something he's NEVER done, and it's generally frowned upon in the demonic community.
  • Energy Drain — Perhaps the most important and necessary power of all sex demons, the energy drain or "feed" is how they maintain their health, youth and immortality. Due to his early mastery of this skill, he is able to feed on humans without them feeling anything other than fatigue (and who ISN'T fatigued after sex with Ezekiel?). Feeding to the point of death is frowned upon in the demonic community as well, and is also something he's never done.
  • Sexual Aura Reading — He can see and "feel" the aroused auras of others, which will provoke his urge to feed. In highly sexually charged situations (such as an orgy), he runs the risk of losing control of himself/his powers.
  • Supernatural Stamina — Run a marathon? Check. Have multiple orgasms afterwards during sex that lasts all night? Check!
  • Supernatural Strength — When sexually fed and healthy, he has the strength to lift a car (approximately 2 tons). The longer he goes without a feed, the weaker he becomes.

    STARTING EQUIPMENT:

  • His daemon is his small gold crucifix on a thin gold chain which he named Samueld.
  • His clothes were torn up in the battle and deserve to be chucked.

    EXIT STRATEGY: What was believed to be a direct attack from Sylwia's army turned out to be D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. - a battle the academy wasn't prepared for. Zeke fought on the "front lines" and was always in the heat of things, but he was being torn apart by countless enemies. At one point he blacked out, where someone (a family member or a friend) managed to rescue him from the fray and get him through an escape portal with other evacuees. He awoke on the beach and was rescued by Janus.
    MORALITY: If Zeke were playing D&D he'd describe himself as Lawful Good, but being a sex demon his set of "laws" sometimes differ from traditional human values. An example of which being his attitude regarding underage sex and incest, which is considered normal and healthy in his community. Despite these differences, he follows most Christian values and believes in being good to yourself and to others, positivity and good health. It takes a lot to make him kill someone, but if you threaten/harm his family he will take you down.
    WAR ATTITUDES: Zeke goes where he's needed, but he is absolutely a "protector" at heart. Staying close to the community in order to help build and grow it, while at the same time defending it from attackers, is where he's most comfortable being. This isn't to say he'd refuse to go on missions, he absolutely would go if it meant helping others, but for the most part he likes to guard the home base. It worries him a lot when he's away from those who can't defend themselves.
    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: A very social creature, he was taught at a young age to blend in as best he could. As a result, he can easily make friends and form meaningful relationships with others. He has difficulty when it comes to the sexual aspect of his life, ironically enough, because he craves a committed monogamous relationship and that's impossible for him. On the surface he seems fun, flirty and willing to go to bed with anyone, but inside he's torn, even guilt-ridden, between what he must do to survive and his true desire of only being with one person.
    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: This guy was born to be a part of a community, and please, have you seen his muscles? He fits in great with being the support of any social system, and will do whatever it takes to see others grow and thrive. He follows orders well, but won't hesitate to take charge and get everyone motivated and organized. IT'S TIME TO KICK D.E.S.T.I.N.Y.'S CANDY ASS!
