PLEASE READ:

APPLICATIONS ARE OPEN!
Notes:
  • We now operate ROLLING APPLICATIONS that are always open. You can submit 1 character anytime in a month!

  • Our application process has become simplified due to staffing changes, please take note!

  • As apps are always open, reserves are NO LONGER REQUIRED. Please simply complete the application below and post when you are ready.

  • If two people apply for the same character, the first to post their application will be assessed. The second application will only be considered if the first is declined.

  • However, we do allow UP TO TWO versions of each character in game. The second applicant would therefore be permitted to apply for an AU version of that character if they so choose.

  • Agents of D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. or antagonist applications will open on November 4. These characters are either brainwashed (quick resolution) or coerced (slow-play resolution, long-term espionage) to help usher in the apocalypse. More information here!
Please do not link from your journal, make sure all the content is pasted into the comment(s).

OOC:

Player Name: Provide your handle
Age: Indicate you are 18+; players less than 18 years-of-age are not permitted
Contact: One or more of Plurk, PM, or Discord are needed

IC:

Character Name: Mrs. Handsome
Canon: Indicate which version if there are multiple (e.g., book to movie)
CANON POINT: Briefly describe in a sentence.
CRAU: Yes/No, please link the game/musebox the character is from
Age: Note that characters below 16 years of age should be apped with caution, as self-sufficiency/autonomy are extremely important. Heavy interdependency and neglect risks should be OOCly opt-in.
AGENT OF DESTINY: Yes/No, "Brainwashed" or "Coerced." Brainwash agents will be captured in-game and start to remember themselves within 1-2 months of play; coerced agents are knowingly helping the other side but under duress. Antagonists cannot begin gameplay until November 4, 2017, but you may feel free to apply and plot before then!
Background: Brief summary as possible, Wiki links preferred. If you wish to write your own, please us bullet points and be concise, 250-800 words. Please avoid over-describing the world or any jargon, focus more on key points in personality development (see above), changes wrought by CRAU and important CRAU relationships, and events that are likely to be regarded as offensive or sensitive material.
Powers/Abilities: Bullet list preferred. 1-400 words. Include non-human weaknesses/limits and superlative skills. Estimate numerical limits (weight, distance, speed, etc.). At the mods' discretion, destructive capacity may be scaled down based on a maximum lift of 5 tons (~2 full-sized cars).
Starting Equipment: Name your daemon, describe its form (max 50 words), and list any other items the character will be arriving with. Note highly destructive items will be controlled by metaplot. If you have critters that have powers or special abilities, please describe them briefly.
Samples: 1 required, may be from any meme, game, or setting; however, it should have been written within the last year. They should also be written from your preferred canon point.

In-Universe:

Exit Strategy: Maximum of 200 words. If your character is an agent of D.E.S.T.I.N.Y./antagonist, describe what D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. agents did to them (e.g., torture/magical brainwashing, or family held hostage/apocalypse postponed).

For non-antagonists, tell us how the D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. apocalypse and the enemy appeared in their world, then describe the technology or magic the character used to escape their world. Note any characters they are arriving with (i.e., 'group app') including usernames. This may be used for future plot, but don't worry too much about perfect consistency with your group mate/castmates/etc.— adjustments can be made later. We just want you to be thinking about it. All characters start on the beach.

Applications
Who's Allowed?

ALLOWED

✔ CRAU, or characters who have experienced life in other games/museboxes. 'Partial CRAU' is not allowed, but if you apply in fresh, you will be able to obtain memories of CRAU during special events.
✔ Original characters
✔ Canon characters who must personally appear and preferably have a speaking role in the material of the canon point (specific episodes, books, films, etc.). You cannot app a minor/supporting character and headcanon the substance of their personality, or extrapolate a character's off-screen activities from material that only their canonmates were seen in
✔ Child characters (see Age warning in the Application section; note that self-sufficiency is important and other characters and players will not be forced to face consequences for failing to take on a dependent without careful OOC plotting)
Multiple iterations of the same canon character are allowed. The two versions must be at least one with CRAU. The current maximum is 2 of each character. This may be raised by 1 if the character exists in another form of media and is determined to be sufficiently different.
✔ Non-human characters (greatest height in all directions is 30 feet; weird genitalia is fine as long as no one has to deal with it if they don't want to)
Agents of D.E.S.T.I.N.Y., allowed as of November 4

PLEASE NO

Agents of D.E.S.T.I.N.Y., those secretly affiliated with the virus
✘ Characters who must kill sentient beings (compulsion, physical appetites/dependence, etc.); there are limited NPCs and escalating ICC may render your character unplayable

Players should consider introducing themselves to players of close canon CR before they app. However, this is only required in the case of a group application (castmates arriving together from the same version and canon point of their world), or if you are apping the second version of an existing canon character. The purpose of this is not to mandate approval, but to initiate and encourage intra-cast communication.

IC:

CHARACTER NAME: Leo Valdez
CANON: Camp Half-Blood Chronicles
CANON POINT: House of Hades, as he leaves Ogygya.
CRAU: No
AGE: 16
BACKGROUND:
wiki

POWERS:
🔥 Superhuman Strength/Durability/Agility/Reflexes - While he's not as strong as many other demigods his strength is probably around 30% higher than a regular human of the same stature and build.
🔥 Technokinesis - Far above average ability to understand and manipulate anything mechanical. He can sense flaws in things of this nature. In addition to this, he is able to sense traps but this is strongest with mechanical traps.
🔥 Pyrokinesis - Can super heat fire, create walls of fire in defense. He is able to heat it to the point it is considered supernova but this can be fatal to him and chars him. The charring is relevant because he is otherwise immune to fire.
🔥 Heat Sensitivity - He can sense heat, flames and metals and even use them as a form of thermal vision to navigate in the dark
STARTING EQUIPMENT:
- Daemon Name: Calypsod
His daemon is an Archimedes Sphere. It looks a bit like this but will be smaller, about the size of a standard softball. It's golden in color with clear mechanical inner workings.
- His clothes
- His magical tool belt (it was given to him by his father. when he reaches in he can retrieve items that are in work shops just about anywhere. Large items cause a cooldown period. Big items like chainsaws or magical items cannot be pulled from the tool belt).
- His 3lb hammer that is his primary weapon. He usually summons it from his toolbelt

SAMPLES:

In-Universe:

EXIT STRATEGY: Not long after Leo leaves Calypso on Ogygya, something is definitely wrong at sea. There's a storm rolling in but it doesn't seem quite natural and soon it appears as if the sky is ripping itself apart As the waves become increasingly violent, he's knocked from his raft. He thinks that it must be some God or spirits that he's angered. Not long after that, he sees what he assumes are some of Gaea's minions. There's little fight that he's able to give while being pummeled by waves. He is pretty sure that in his time with Calypso that somehow Gaea has gained more power and that the world as he knew it is coming to an end. During the struggle, he's drawn closer to a swirling vortex in the water and it's either facing the minions further or letting himself be pulled in. He opts for the latter.
MORALITY: Leo has an extremely high sense of morality. He cares deeply for his friends and he would do anything for them. It's unlikely that he would ever betray anyone. He also does his best to ensure the safety of those he can protect. In actuality, his views of his own morality are in sync with reality. He strives to do the right things and he acts selflessly on a regular basis, disregarding how he might be sad in efforts to make others happy and for the benefit of those around him.
WAR ATTITUDES: Leo doesn't particularly go looking for fights. However, he is very willing to defend himself and others. He is quite clever and will often try to talk his way out of fights but he will also talk himself into one when it is necessary. In this regard, he would be interested in missions that are for the betterment of people but less so ones that don't have an objective that seems to be proactive in that sense.
INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Leo is very boisterous and outgoing. He always seems to be smiling and making jokes. He is not afraid to make a fool of himself to get people to laugh. He's an extremely loyal friend and will do anything for his friends. He doesn't have that hard of a time making friends either. He does, however, struggle to let down the facade of his smile to show people the full picture of himself. He's internally quite sad and feels alone in the world despite having friends who love him. He is always on the outside, in his opinion, the third wheel, the fifth wheel, the seventh wheel. Meeting Calypso is one of the first times that he had been honest about who he is and really deeply connected to someone emotionally. He'll be missing this connection sorely and eager to find a way back to her and his friends.
COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Leo would be most interested in finding ways to contribute that can be done from a workshop. While he is a capable fighter and explorer, he is most comfortable and useful making things for others to use on missions. He's more than willing to join any mission that needs his particular skill or power set but what he will seek out is a place to set up shop and build things.

CHARACTER NAME: Kaz Rietveld Brekker.
CANON: Six of Crows duology by Leah Bardugo.
CANON POINT: Post-series.
CRAU: No
AGE: 17. Though he's 17 over the course of two whole books so 18 wouldn't be a stretch, if there are American lines in the sand regarding age of consent at play.
BACKGROUND: hey cw for violence and dead kids and, basically, it's unpleasant.
Kaz Brekker pulled himself out of the filthy water of the Ketterdam harbor and ascended, step by terrible step, to a miniature crime baron. Fearless, respected, deadly. Known as "Dirtyhands" for his mysterious gloves, he cultivated and maintained a reputation for being willing to do even the vilest of deeds. He had one weakness: a poorly healed broken bone left him with a limp he uses a cane for. But being a cripple just caused people to underestimate him — to their inevitable detriment.

That's the mythology, anyway. Kaz Rietfeld came to the big city with his older brother. They were orphaned farmboys looking for work, and they were naive. One of the Ketterdam gang leaders, Pekka Rollins, duped them using a confidence trick that had Jordie Rietfeld sign over a large sum of money, withdrawn with the family farm as collateral, in the belief that he was making a clever investment in trade goods. Rollins and the money vanished, and the Rietfeld boys were left to survive penniless in a merciless city. When the plague hit they, like many impoverished, succumbed. Jordie died, but Kaz awoke from his fever on the body barge, piled with hundreds of corpses waiting to be burnt offshore. He used his brother's dead body as a flotation device in order to survive the long, icy swim back to shore.

From then on his life became devoted to hunting down and ruining Pekka Rollin's life, out of furious grief and a desire for revenge. As the man was a crime boss, Kaz began to work his own way up through the ranks, discovering an uncanny ability for sleight of hand, an eidetic memory for cards, a nose for money and a near sociopathic ability to detach himself from atrocity. The sensation of skin to skin contact triggers his PTSD and gives him visceral flashbacks to being surrounded and suffocated by dead flesh, and so he wears gloves constantly, but his Dirtyhands reputation wasn't exactly unearned.

After forging an alliance with Per Haskell, the leader of the Dregs, by promising to make him rich, Kaz built up the ugly industrial territory around the docks that the Dregs called their own, implementing a casino and a bar and generally cleaning up the town enough that new arrivals to Ketterdam by boat began to frequent it. This stream of potential marks and the access to pilferable trade barges brought the Dregs up in the world, enough that Kaz was noticed by a wealthy member of the Ketterdam merchant ruling class.

The merch, Jan Van Eck, offered thirty million kruge (dollars) for the recovery of a chemist from a prison in another country. The chemist had developed a drug that amplified the supernatural powers of 'Grisha' (who were often persecuted or lived in indentured slavery to merches). It had massive political implications as well as potentially being incredibly profitable, but it was in the heart of the Ice Court, the incredibly secure prison of the zealous Fjerdans, who dedicated their lives to hunting the "unnatural" Grisha.

Kaz began to recruit a band of misfits to help him in pulling off the heist. Inej and Jesper were both members of the Dregs whose skills and talents he already relied upon. Nina was a Grisha heartrender he knew, and her lover Matthais was an imprisoned Fjerdan who would know the Ice Court once he was released. Finally Wylan Van Eck was the son of the merch himself, recruited to ensure that once the heist was accomplished Kaz would receive his money.

Unfortunately Jan Van Eck had no love for his son, so though the team managed to successfully pull off the heist, thanks to Kaz's ability to plan for absolutely every possible scenario, there was no money forthcoming. Kaz made plans for that, too, but spiriting away the rescued Kuwei Yul-Bo put him at war with Van Eck, who drew in the city guard and rival guilds and Pekka Rollins and even managed to partially turn the Dregs against Kaz.

Eventually, Kaz managed to outwit him, and the team finally received the payment for the job that they had been promised. But Kaz came out of it a changed man. For one thing, his interest in his silent assassin, Inej, had begun a terrible conflict within him as he tried to overcome his PTSD and touch phobia. For another thing, finally triumphing over Pekka Rollins, while still a victory among many victories, left him thinking too much about his brother and the choices he had made. And finally, his found family broke apart - one dead, the rest leaving the city with their money, each of them also changed. Kaz chose to stay in Ketterdam, even knowing he might have finally grown beyond "Dirtyhands", but not sure who else he could be.

POWERS: Kaz has no Grisha power or magical abilities, but he is skilled beyond the point of ordinary believability at lock-picking, card tricks, and sleight of hand. Basically: he's an ordinary human, but he has some absurdly proficient skills for a teenager.
STARTING EQUIPMENT: His inventory is his clothes, including his tailored three piece black suit, black leather gloves, and custom sword-cane with a crow's head. He has a few lockpicks, a knife, and a roll of kruge bills, and not much else.

Kaz's daemon is a black crow made entirely from metals and jewels, though it has every appearance of being a blood-and-feathers animal. He deleted its default name, and now it is just " d".

SAMPLES:
log;
[ Patience, Kaz tells himself, an internal word of warning that has a familiar, comforting cadence to it. He's always been too fast to spark to anger, but he can ease the inner scrape of flint that is panic — wet, wet, chaos, sand in his shoes, knife in his hand, no. Patience.

It would be easier if he shed his jacket and shoes. Stripped, even, down to his undershirt: it's warm. But Kaz adjusts his collar and brushes down his double-breasted jacket like a knight lowers the visor on his armor. With intent. He knows better than to let anyone see him sweat.

So the young man with dark shark-sharp eyes walks as easily up the path to the city gates as someone taking an idle turn around the garden. And he doesn't catch his breath when he sees the city, shining and polished and verdant. Such a stark contrast from Ketterdam and her greasy docks, heavy factories and sloping narrow cobbled lanes, everything dank and dinge with leaking, or smoke, or the use of a hundred hands and feet. Ketterdam is a lived in city: this looks like a display model.

He doesn't trust it.

But he still isn't sure he even trusts the idea of the multiverse or the preservation of F.A.T.E.S. — technology is as foreign to him as the icy Fjerdan prison complex. What he needs is a map, clearly outlined. Insider knowledge. Every last shred of detail he can wring out of this place. Starting, perhaps, with the bird that continues to follow him no matter how much he ignores it.

His hand snaps out. The crow is sharp against his palm.
]

I think it's time we talked.

network;

Good evening.

[ the voice is smooth, if young, the accent londonish. ]

I don't usually like to admit my ignorance of anything, but I'll admit that some of the concepts being discussed are a little over my head. For instance, the idea that all the worlds consist of some intangible "dataset" seems about a ludicrous to me as the people who think existence is an act of god.

[ in general, computers aren't... really something he understands yet. but kaz brekker likes information. he prefers to collect as much of it as possible. ]

Can I ask - if this is all some simulacrum rather than real existence, how do I know which of you are real? When you speak of taking missions in other worlds, what's to say you aren't just a roundabout way of ensuring my assistance?

[ solipsistic. maybe even narcissistic, but there's always been a trace of something cold and hard like that in kaz's inner life. at least communicating without being face to face means he can seem slightly more charming, when people can't see it in his eyes.

slightly.
]

Assistance which is already assured, I should note.

bonus;
And because I am writing these from scratch, I'm providing some supplementary links to demonstrate my RP abilities in a more collaborative environment, take em or leave em.
Here is a sample for a different character on the Xist TDM.
Here is a bunch of text threads with different characters.

In-Universe:

EXIT STRATEGY: Kaz's self-preservation instinct kicked in early. It was perhaps also implied to him that he could meet up with the others somewhere safer than the apocalyptic hellscape he found himself facing, and so rather than simply flee Ketterdam to try and find them in other cities, he agreed to ride the great strange beast, a winding feathered snake as long and wide as a river.
MORALITY: It would be easiest just to say "none". Kaz's heart of gold is buried pretty deep: he's willing to do nearly anything to achieve his goals, however hideous or amoral. However he does seem to have distaste for slavery and situations like Inej's, where she was forced into prostitution, and he would rather imply he harmed a child than actually harm one. He doesn't like rich men who take advantage of others, even as he seems determined to rise to their ranks. Overall it's complex — he does have some leftover moral code and he sort of wants to be a good person, but he doesn't want anyone to know he's a good person in case they see him as weak, and he finds committing minor atrocities is often a much more efficient way to reach his goals.
WAR ATTITUDES: Kaz is coldly practical and his goals are generally self-interest. In this case what behooves him most is saving or getting in contact with the people he cared about, so until they show up or he moves past this, he will be willing to assist in whatever way gets him the most credit and respect. He is quite willing to do all sorts of nasty things, so while he isn't exactly soldier material he is very well suited to team or solo missions. This will also perhaps give him an excuse to avoid 'playing house'.
INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Because, to carry on from the last point, Kaz is absolutely going to start out with no interest in romantic relationships and with an absolute aversive fear of being touched. Whether this changes (I would like it to, albeit with difficulty!) will depend on RP. That isn't to say he isn't capable of building deep complex CR: allies and pawns can easily become friends, especially those who remind him of his little gang back home. And it's been made clear that relationships come in many shades: Kaz is very good at pissing people off, getting on their bad side, and provoking animosity, so it's highly possible that a lot of his initial relationships will be conflict driven. He is more than capable of emotions like anger and resentment, after all.
COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Kaz is always up for a cold slice of revenge, but I can also see him getting interested in community infrastructure. He is generally pretty against capitalism (without strictly calling it that, but he sees bankers and merches as the same type of thief as him but lying to themselves about it.) Still, he has proven he can start and run businesses, even if they're more for drinking or gambling or sex than more on the level work. So while he might be tempted by exploration and willing to participate in missions, especially if they allow him to plan and direct a team, he's a city boy at heart.

BACKGROUND:

POWERS:
- Mad Spider Skillz : Upon being bit by a genetically enhanced spider, Peter gained similar abilities to a spider; enhanced/super strength, enhanced/super speed, enhanced agility & reflexes, enhanced stamina, enhanced/accelerated healing, and wall-crawling.
- My Spidey Sense is Tingling! : Peter is able to "sense" upcoming danger and approaching objects without having to physically see them, making it easier for him to anticipate and react to it. This, however, doesn't work if Peter is distracted by something else.
- Nice Going, Smart Guy : Peter is extremely intelligent when it comes to sciences, math and technology. He attends a specialized school for science and technology. He created his first set of web shooters & webbing on his own. (Although, he is not at all skilled when it comes to making clothing.)
- Ready, aim, fire : Peter is very skilled in hand-to-hand combat. He's also a very skilled marksman -- at least when in regards to his web shooting.
STARTING EQUIPMENT:

1 (one) Midtown School of Science and Technology sweatshirt (on his person)

1 (one) daemon Happy Hogan Lego figurine named Mr. Happyd

SAMPLES: one (out of universe)

In-Universe:

EXIT STRATEGY: D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. presented itself in the form of what appeared to be another giant wormhole in the sky (New York City, amirite?). Assuming that another battle was getting ready to go down, most New Yorkers waited as patiently as possible for The Avengers to appear and save the day again. Peter, on the other hand, rushes head first into the thing thinking that it's the perfect opportunity to get back in the good graces of Tony and the others. Which… didn't go at all as planned.
MORALITY: Peter is a good kid at heart, he understands the difference between right and wrong and tries his hardest to do the "right" thing. But, like any average teenager, he's a bit reckless and doesn't always follow the rules -- such as not listening and disabling the security protocol that's installed on his suit -- but he believes that he's breaking them for morally good reasons. Stopping bad guys from robbing a bank, keeping a packed elevator from plummeting to the ground, trying to keep a full ferry from splitting in two, tracking guys with stolen alien technology. Peter sometimes puts innocent people in the way of danger in the process, but never intentionally, and always immediately does he try to remedy it and keep them safe. He wants to do good, he wants to help the underdog and the average person because he doesn't feel like there's anyone out there doing that.
WAR ATTITUDES: While Peter is more than familiar with fighting alien creatures, superhumans and bad birdmen with crazy weapons, Peter is most importantly an underdog and wants nothing more than to help out the little guy. He doesn't go looking for fights or trouble recklessly, a large part of his reason for protecting Queens (in the form of giving old ladies directions, saving people and cats from burning bodegas, and retrieving stolen bikes.) is simply because he thinks that someone needs to, because he cares and because that's his city. He's willing to fight alongside others, as long as it's for what he believes to be is the right reason.
INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Peter isn't particularly popular at his school. He's never shown having a large group of friends -- even his teammates for Academic Decathlon couldn't really be considered his close friends, they rarely hang out with one another outside of practices -- but the people that Peter does care about, he cares for with everything he has. Even despite not being particularly close with one of his teammates, Flash, who often picks on him, Peter still comes to his rescue when the elevator inside of the Washington Monument is ready to crash. In regards to intimate relationships, Peter is fairly shy. He doesn't have very much confidence in himself around anyone that he likes and quite often comes off awkward whenever he tries to make any kind of conversation or moves. Although, sometimes it works out in his favor.
COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Seeing as Peter is still a teenager (and kind of a nerdy one, at that.) he'd be anxious to continue learning, and to discover everything that he can about the new world that he's in. He'd also be more than likely to try and get back into being a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Trying to stop crime and whatever other baddies might show up -- although, sometimes not-so-successfully. Peter cares very deeply about the community that he lives in and the people that are a part of it. While he'd be more than willing to go out and fight on the front lines if he's needed (or really, even if he isn't.), he wouldn't hesitate to stay back and help build the community, using his natural affinity for technology to lend a hand in any way that he can.

CHARACTER NAME: Anthony Stark AKA Tony
CANON: Marvel Cinematic Universe
CANON POINT: During Spiderman: Homecoming just after the scene where he takes the suit back from Peter, having chastised him, and sends him home
CRAU: No
AGE: 45
BACKGROUND:
Background via Wikia it's so long

POWERS: Tony's main 'power's have always been extremely high intelligence and equally extreme wealth. With those combined, he could create equipment that gave him the ability to go toe to toe with some of the most powerful Enhanced in the universe.
STARTING EQUIPMENT:
  • A nice suit and other undergarments, shoes, etc. to make outfit
  • Iron man suit
  • Set of 20 portable small thrusters
  • Small jet
  • A rudimentary version of Friday, his AI companion, to become his daemon; the body will look like an awkward human android (along the lines of Vision but more rudimentary) who may eventually be upgraded to look more seamlessly (but creepily) human
SAMPLES:

    Hello world.

You don't look as nightmarishly on fire as the last time I saw you. In fact, the beach was pretty near idyllic, apart from the running, screaming, moderately bloodied civilians. Listen. I know a certain amount of mayhem and destruction is native to the experience of life. Throw in some transdimensional portals for color, some different worlds and talking species for variety. The dim hope of eventually fixing everything... or anything, just in case anybody was going to take the path of least resistance and maybe just. Stop.

    We have to keep going.

What I'm hoping is that alcohol is also a multiversal constant. Thoughts?
In-Universe:

EXIT STRATEGY: The world ended with red-armored military forces that wouldn't stop and raging electrical storms that overwhelmed the vast majority of even Tony's powerfully protected tech. Tony actually took Steve up on his offer at end of Civil War and brought the gang back together in hopes of fighting them off, but it was futile. In the end, Tony packed everyone into a jet he'd devised in the last final moments of the world-- unbeknownst to him, divine inspriation (F.A.T.E.S.) had struck and allowed it to jump worlds. Less cool: he was alone when he fell into the world.
MORALITY: Tony is an inconvenient and self-frustrating paradox— a person motivated by vast remorse from having enabled terrible loss of life in the past, and even profited on it, and almost obsessive in his pursuit of redemption. However, he is so emotionally fused to this journey and the past that his heart tends to screw with his incredible brain, recruiting his egotism, and he'll tend to miss the forest for the trees. After all, he is still entrenched in violence himself and feels terrible for it; he'll imprison Enhanced because he feels responsible for what they have done to alleviate his own guilt rather than coolly examine problems and procedures; he'll break a spider teen's heart to protect his life and limb because he gets mad when he's scared. A suitable metaphor might be that he scores high on Knowledge and poor on Wisdom, which darkens his morality to a murky grey despite its sparkling intentions.
WAR ATTITUDES: You might say war is in Tony's blood, given his family business was directly involved in supplying weapons that killed soldiers of all countries around the world back home. It's a legacy Tony both struggles against and nonetheless has an unique, uncanny knack for, especially in terms of creating weapons. Whether those weapons are always lethal or focus instead on capture, containment, etc., they are always weapons. He fundamentally believes that violence is often a necessary answer to hard questions, although since Civil War he has begun to think more and more about finding the line where it is not. Relevantly, he's also adept at lying.
INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: In romantic relationships, Tony is a disaster. He spent most of his life with short, fiery affairs and casual one-night-stands, which he considered mutually beneficial despite some part of him knowing, for sure, that he broke a few hearts along the way. In recent years, since becoming a somewhat more authentically avoidant and troubled person (as opposed to a faking it til you make it kind of avoidant and troubled person), he fell in love with Pepper Potts. He has had a long and contentious relationship with her, off-again on-again, a mess of clashing priorities and poor communication. In Xist, he'll be hung up on her, but also more capable of genuine feelings with others. With regard to friendship, he's-- similar, actually, direly missing his old friends, especially Rhodey but including the Avengers. He feels he has unfinished business especially with Steve.
COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Tony tends to use his mechanical brilliance and creative genius for destructive purposes, but he is also very capable of contributing to civilian prosperity, such as his renewable energy project. All of it is guilt motivated and he is guilt to motivate him for days. Years. Centuries, but luckily he won't live that long! So just years. He'll make AI tractors and a flying train and all kinds of other stuff for the city, given the chance.

CRAU: No

BACKGROUND:
wiki link / in depth timeline

Since you can choose your own story with Shepard ( featured on her wiki link ), the decisions for this particular version of Shepard are as followed: Colonist, War Hero, and Vanguard.

POWERS: Being that I've classified this Shepard as a Vanguard, this means she is a biotics and weaponry. This is essentially a mash up for the Adept and Soldier class, which means she has proficient usage of all various types of guns, and is good at biotics -- which is a term referencing an implant in her brain that essentially gives her telekinetic powers. This is a Youtube video showing off all Vanguard moves, but basically she has this purple glow around her body, a bit like electricity, that she can manipulate and force how she sees fit.

STARTING EQUIPMENT:
- N7 armor
- a pistol
- a shotgun
- an assault rifle
- a sniper
- Shepard's daemon is a monkey-esque looking creature called a Pyjak. It's name is Gruntd.

SAMPLES: one / two

In-Universe:

EXIT STRATEGY: At the point Shepard is taken from, humanity is gripping at strings to find a means of survival when up against the Reapers. In their most desperate hour, they're willing to take on any lead they can find, which is when D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. arrives, and humanity seeks to use it for their own advantage -- pitch one apocalypse against the other. Shepard and the Normandy crew escape after antagonizing D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. to a Reaper infested planet, grabbing whatever bits of alien life the hadn't escaped and flying to the nearest mass effect relay to meet up with the rest of the universe. Unfortunately for Shepard, when she wakes up the Normandy is nowhere to be found and her entire crew has gone missing.

MORALITY: In Mass Effect, you chose your own morality for your character. This version of Shepard is mostly Paragon, which means she's on the good/white side of the moral scale. Throughout the series, Shepard is more than willing to lay down her life at any point, and even does die at the beginning of ME2, whilst saving a crew member. All life is important to Paragon Shepard -- from humans, to aliens, to synthetics. The path she chooses is guaranteed to be the most selfless and beneficial option out there, as someone who believes the end doesn't always justify the means.

WAR ATTITUDES: Shepard is a soldier, a Commander, and a Spectre. She thrives in war as a natural leader, her history having made her something like a prodigy since she was admitted into the Alliance. Throughout the known universe, Shepard is frequently idolized and admired, widely recognized as the only one actively doing anything to bring all the races together, after having been pushed off with her warnings against the Reapers for so long. Shepard is the first in line to any mission fighting for a good cause, you can bet she won't be satisfied to sit by while others take control.

INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Shepard is a fairly openly book, romantically. For the sake of ease, she will be coming into Xist without any romantic ties, although there are quite a few options for her canonly in game -- ranging from all different genders and races. She's a flirt to some extent, although the mission and heroics will always come first in her mind. Although the idea of emotional relationship being necessary might cause her to raise an eyebrow, making friends and possibly more than that won't be a challenge for her specifically.

COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Shepard, as mentioned, will not be standing by and letting the world happen. Her contributions usually come in the form of manning peaceful alliances or offering protection to the less able. Largely, she can offer her leadership and war training, alongside physical protection and training. She'll certainly be interested in rounding up the best fighters and honing in their abilities together.

CHARACTER NAME: Hunter Lawson
CANON: Original
CANON POINT: post fae war
CRAU: Yes
AGE: 284
BACKGROUND:
  • Born to a small pack outside a town. The pack and the villagers had a tenuous peace built on the pack protecting the village and the villagers shared their food with the pack.
  • Hunter met a boy. Their first, and only, time together resulted in the boy's father catching them. To protect himself, the boy blamed Hunter for the incident. The village became angered and wanted to eradicate the werewolf menace in their area. To protect themselves, his pack exiled him.
  • Eventually comes to a forest that houses a door to fae guarded by vampires.
  • Meets another werewolf, Jessie, who welcomes him into her small pack of only herself and one other, Hoxley. A gathering of misfit werewolves finding a home among vampires.
  • Finds a lone wolf out in the woods. Wolf turns out to be dangerous and uncontrollable. Turns out, he's a human that was turned into a werewolf. Hunter ends up bringing the unconscious man back to the pack in the morning. Henry then decides to join the pack, hoping to find some stability in his life.
  • Finally attends a party at the vampire's home where he meets the vampire prince, Rafaello d'Este.
  • The two spend a wonderful night together. Hunter always had a bit of a crush on Rafa, and was surprised the vampire was interested in him at all. Having just lost one of his great loves in a fae battle that had taken place before Hunter's arrival, Hunter tried not to put too much stock in the relationship.
  • Meets Lucas, a local vampire that Hunter finds a fast connection with.
  • Over time, Hunter starts to develop insecurities. More like they had already existed, but slowly they start to worsen and his emotional health deteriorates quickly. He turns to Lucas to help numb the pain and chase the darkness away.
  • cw: suicidal ideation: Eventually, the pain starts to feel too much. Hunter decides to ask Lucas to help him end his life, only to be caught by Rafa and Henry both who stop him.
  • The emotional damage done, Hunter struggles to recover to who he once was. He now realizes he was never that person, and these issues can't be buried anymore.
  • Seeing his struggle, Rafa ends the relationship in order to give Hunter space to heal and imagining himself to be part of the problem. Hunter stays with the pack, and ends up becoming Rafa's bodyguard.
  • Once Rafa returns to Sicily to dethrone his father, Rafa's adoptive sister, Lark, takes Hunter under her tutelage.
  • Takes the leap to be turned into a vampire/werewolf hybrid after Jessie was the first.
  • Hunter spends the next few centuries focusing on himself, Henry, and his training. Becomes an effective and dangerous soldier during this time and marries Henry as well. Eventually, the capital of Rafa and his fellow king, Nikolai's, empire is moved to Prague.
  • When it turns out Lark never fully recovered from her captivity in fae, Hunter replaces her as general for the new empire's army.
  • The door starts to open again, and Rafa's missing lover, Shane, is returned. The gap between himself and Rafa feels even larger now, until Shane helps advise Rafa to rekindle things with Hunter.
  • Hunter and Rafa eventually marry.
  • Rafa finds a quieter way to end his war with the water fae in Italy, earning allies to defeat the winged fae in England.
  • Hunter aids in the war that ultimately results in the death of the dark fae queen Belladonna, replaced by a king named Eran, the brother of Shane.
  • Henry takes over as pack leader with Hunter's support.
  • Hunter tries to assist Rafa as an envoy, instead ends up bringing back Koda, a faerie/incubus whom he's fallen in love with, and Wyatt on another trip, a young werewolf whom he and Henry adopt.
  • Life's not perfect, but it's pretty damn close and Hunter loves it.

EUDIO CRAU:
  • Goes to Eudio in order to find "a peaceful end to the war at home." He's seen too much of what the war has cost those he loves, and he wanted the war to end. He also wanted it to end in a way that would spare those he loved any further pain.
  • Gets a growlithe and names it Hoxley after his dad.
  • Also reunites with Rafa during their breakup. Eventually the two patch it up together.
  • Formed deep relationships with others he considers to be family, such as Vex, Mark, Alec, and Magnus.
  • Marries Rafa ( the first time ) in Eudio with Vex as his best man.
  • Works at the Wolf's Den and the Bloody Mystic, ends up becoming co-owner of the Bloody Mystic and the Wolf's Den briefly.

POWERS:
  • Stamina & Strength: a little stronger than a typical vampire and able to take a beating a lot better, it takes a lot to get a hybrid down.
  • Immortal: impervious to sickness and aging
  • Better senses: his sense of smell is best of all, but his sight and hearing are also heightened for better hunting purposes.
  • Wolf form: he's able to fully transform into a fairly large black wolf, larger than the average wolf. He can also extend his claws and teeth at will without fully turning.
  • Addictive blood: his blood can get someone high, and too much of it can turn them into a thrall that desires only his blood and will do anything for it.
  • Incubus blood: no real effect on powers, but does enhance his natural features, gives him bright eyes that do tend to glow, and increases his libido.

weaknesses
  • Stakes/beheading/fire: typical vampire weaknesses that still effect him to a full degree
  • Sunlight: he can stand to be in the sun, but he's sensitive to it and can't be out in it for too long.
  • Thirst: he needs both human blood AND human food in order to survive
  • Magic: not as badly affected as a vampire, but still can make him ill and weaken him in a fight
  • Religious iconography: same as magic, to a degree but not nearly so bad.

STARTING EQUIPMENT:
  • the clothes on his back
  • a cellphone
  • loose change
  • a growlithe named Hoxley (that's going to evolve into an Arcanine)
  • daemon named marshmellowd found here

SAMPLES:
Log from Eudio Test Drive
network sample:
[ Hunter really hates trying to figure out how to text on this keyboard, so he's going to go with a video instead.

Once it starts up, he runs his hand through his hair to push his bangs back, staring into the camera.... eyes of his daemon. ]
Is it good? We good?

I am recording, yes. You are "good."

Okay, cool. Sweet. So yeah.... [ Leans back a bit more so he's not directly in the camera's face. ]

Holy fucking shit.

Well, that was one hell of a trip.

So sound off if you're still alive out there? Also sound off if talking into a bunny isn't just a little bit weird. No? Just me? [ He breaks out in a grin and leans in real close to the camera. The sound of fur being ruffled can be heard as his hand settles on the head of the daemon. ] I'm just playing. Mellow knows I like him, don't you Mellow?

It's Marshmellowd. And if you say so, then I know it.

See? [ Leans back, and sighs, looking around at his wild surroundings. Smile fading just a little bit. ] But really, what's up? What can I do to help? Let me know, guys.

In-Universe:
EXIT STRATEGY: Hunter had been in Eudio when the worlds began to fall apart. Having learned that multiple worlds were affected, he tried to go home with his husband, Rafa. They asked Eudio to send them home, but neither ever made it home. Hunter left at the same time as Rafa, but whatever magics brought him here took longer for him to arrive than it took Rafa. For him, though, it'll be like no additional time has passed.
MORALITY: Morality has never been something that Hunter has ever struggled with, because he has a very blasé attitude towards it. He's not a murderer, but he's killed before. And he doesn't find anything wrong with vampires who've killed either. His morality tends to be more personal based on what affects him or those in his life. Outside of that, he doesn't have a many strong feelings one way or the other. He lives in a world that is constantly straddling the line between black and white. He was born into it, and it's only gotten grayer the longer he's been alive. He has no real interest in taking a greater stance on good and evil on the overall. He's only concerned about staying alive and keeping those he loves alive. His morality might extend just enough outside that to not wishing for the destruction of the universe. The reality is if his friends are all happy and he's happy because their worlds are all safe, then he'd probably lose some interest in the rest of the universe. Unless someone he cared about asked him to take an interest.
WAR ATTITUDES: It's not that he likes war, he hates it actually. He's seen what it does to those he loves, and he went to Eudio to end the war at home as peacefully as he can. He's good at it, though. He's a good fighter, a good soldier, and a good general. For all his lightheartedness, when it comes to war Hunter knows how to buckle down and strategize attacks and defenses. He's good at it, and he does enjoy it. If he could get that without the dangers and threats of a real war, that'd be his favorite thing ever. Unfortunately, he's good at something that brings a lot of people pain regularly. He's willing to fight in a war to protect people and help find an end, but he'd never wish for war. Even if that meant his talents went to waste for the rest of his long life.
INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Hunter has a very rough history with romance that he tries not to think about or talk about. He's come a long way in his life to recover from it, but the truth is doubts still plague his mind from time to time. He loves too easily and too quickly, and that caused him to be burned severely in the past. So he constantly wars with himself to try to avoid those pitfalls, but he finds himself tripping up in them all the time. It's a constant struggle, and he's been lucky in recent years. However, the warning bells still go off in his head sometimes. He's open to many relationships, however. He has three husbands, and he still has room in his heart for more love. He has his son Wyatt, as well. He's open to multiple relationships and willing to love anyone who truly wants him.
COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Unfortunately, Hunter doesn't have a lot of skills. He never cultivated much beyond hunting, and then killing later in life. Hunter is great at war. He's great at battles and fighting. His best use would be defending everyone now, and fighting when needed. He'll offer any other help needed, of course. After all, he has other natural abilities that others might be able to depend on. But for his personal talents, he's best suited for fighting.

CHARACTER NAME: Elliot Alderson
CANON: MR. ROBOT
CANON POINT: Post season 2 finale, Elliot has met up with Tyrell but doesn't believe he is real and Elliot is trying to stop Mr. Robot's plans. He is shot by Tyrell at the end of season 2.
CRAU: No
AGE: 28
BACKGROUND:
wikia

POWERS:
💻 Highly skilled hacker
💻 He is diagnosed with social anxiety disorder, clinical depression and paranoid delusions.
💻 He also has symptoms of dissociative identity disorder, with a full fledged confirmed second identity in Mr. Robot. At the canon point he is coming from he is struggling very heavily with dissociation.
+ In addition, he frequently loses time and memories even more so than previously when Mr. Robot has been in control. While, this may come up in some scenes, anything destructive or wide scale that Mr. Robot might try to plan that would affect the game would obviously be presented as a request to the Mod for approval beforehand. I don't foresee this in the near future but if a good plot line potentially comes up the option to do so would be appreciated. I will also certainly have a opt-out/permissions post regarding any characters choosing not to interact with Mr. Robot or certain issues that Elliot has.
💻 He is also a drug addict but he was in prison shortly before his canon point so he is clean to an extent which seems to exacerbate his mental issues since he was self medicating before his arrest.

STARTING EQUIPMENT:
+ His backpack which includes: a built laptop and charger, two packs of cigarettes, an empty lighter, the Mr. Robot jacket and hat, an fsociety mask, a copy of the movie The Careful Massacre of the Bourgeoisie and a cell phone that is probably useless here.
+ The clothes on his back: jeans, black t-shirt and black zip up hoodie.
+ Daemon: will be a identical dog to Flipper, the dog he stole and it will consequently be named Flipperd.

SAMPLES:
TDM

EXIT STRATEGY: Elliot isn't quite clear exactly what is happening in his world when he exits into Xistentia. At this time he is all but completely losing his grip on reality. The fabric of his reality seems to be tearing quite literally around him in the moments leading up to being shot by Tyrell. Of course, being crazy and thinking he is talking to someone inside of his head he also thinks that the way the air seems to dissolve around him is something he doesn't think is real. The shot goes off and as he goes down he falls through a portal that had conveniently (or not) opened up on the floor that he falls into.

CHARACTER NAME: Juno Steel
CANON: The Penumbra Podcast
CANON POINT: Post-Juno Steel and the Dragon's Den just after returning to Hyperion City.
CRAU: No
AGE: 38

BACKGROUND: While these aren't described in detail, I wanted to lay down the content warnings just in case. These include alcohol abuse (by Juno's mother and by Juno himself), mentions of severe depression (both Juno and his mother), child abuse/negligence and subsequent death of a minor (Juno's mother kills his younger brother Ben when they are just children, and though we're never told how, I'm playing it safe).

Now, here's the Wiki link, but it's pretty sparse, so I've accompanied it with some of my own supplemental information for season one and season two of the podcast. I've kept it pretty bare bones, trying to stay as streamlined as possible but as I love this podcast very much I'm always willing to scream about it in detail. That being said, here are some SparkNotes.
SEASON ONE
  • Juno Steel's a detective with a lot of issues living in a neon-bathed, corrupt city on Mars, Hyperion. His caseload this season involves the numerous thefts of various ancient Martian artifacts by one Xenoanthropologist scorned named Miasma (secretly, one of the last living Martians). To help her procure these artifacts, she had hired a master thief, Peter Nureyev, who Juno runs into on one occasion early on (and kisses, yikes!)
  • During a related case, Juno swallows a Martian pill to keep it out of Miasma's hands. Said pill grants the one who ingests it the ability to read minds at the cost of bleeding out of your face holes and creating a tumor in your frontal lobe.
  • Not long after this incident, Nureyev turncoats on Miasma and comes to Juno, having discovered that Miasma wants to destroy all life on Mars. He aids Juno in trying to stop her from collecting another artifact, a devastatingly powerful Martian bomb, but before Nureyev and Juno can secure it, Miasma captures them both and brings them to an ancient Martian tomb.
  • Due to Juno having swallowed the Martian pill, she wants to extract data from his brain in order to replicate the tumor the pill created to give her the ability to read minds as well. She proceeds to torture both Juno and Nureyev.
  • Unluckily for Miasma, Nureyev is a master thief and breaks them both out of their prison, forcing them to fight Miasma to the death while the bomb's clock ticks down.
  • Juno tries to read Miasma's mind and loses his right eye due to the pressure caused by the mind-reading tumor in his brain. He does find out, however, that there is no way to stop the bomb. So at the last second, he traps himself and Miasma behind an airlock to minimize the bomb's blast only to discover upon detonation that this bomb was a Martian suicide weapon, never meant for genocide, but to wipe out all Martian life.
  • Miasma dies, Juno is left standing, and he and Nureyev leave the tomb and all of its secrets behind in the Martian desert, heading back for Hyperion City.
  • Once settled, Nureyev asks Juno to leave Mars with him, possibly forever, to travel the galaxy with him. Juno agrees and the pair spend one night together.
  • Just before Martian sunrise, Juno backs out of his decision, leaving Nureyev and returning to work as a detective to protect Hyperion City as much as he can.

SEASON TWO
  • The city election is coming, Juno is in a Funk and is down one eye, and Nureyev is Gone. Juno spends a lot of time this season reevaluating himself mentally and coming to terms with some of the more emotionally charged parts of his past (his mother, his depression, etc). That being said, the main plot so far has been such:
  • Enter Ramses O'Flaherty, a man who is running for mayor of Hyperion city, completely dedicated to cleaning up the streets, helping the impoverished, and wiping out the corrupt cops in the HCPD who currently work for the present criminal mayor, Pilot Pereyra.
  • Juno joins O'Flaherty's cause as both detective and bodyguard and Ramses gifts him the Theia Spectrum, a cybernetic eye that grants Juno a number of abilities. Juno wants more than anything to trust him as their goals are aligned with the good of Hyperion City.
  • Ultimately, Juno's job is to keep Ramses alive until Election Day while finding out who wants him dead, which ultimately leads him back to the place of his mother's breakdown: the very same entertainment park she was fired from.
  • And he does manage this, but not without shedding some blood, something that Juno usually isn't about. It's left him a little shaken at this point. This is a guy who always has his blaster set to "stun" when he's running and gunning, which brings us to his current canon point.
POWERS:

INVESTIGATIVE ABILITY | Despite his own attitude towards himself, stating he "spreads the mess around" rather than helps Hyperion City, his services are sought after and Juno's ability to deduce and put together clues is very much unmatched. It's definitely an ability he's earned after years of being private investigator.

BRAWLER | Juno's got a mean right hook and he's not a gentleman. He's scrappy, he doesn't play fair, and if he has to put you down he's going to try his damndest to do so. Juno's taken on opponents bigger than himself before, but doesn't have superhuman strength.

SHARPSHOOTER
| He's the best in the Martian west, enough said. When he had both of his eyes, before the Theia Spectrum, Juno was known for him quick draw and even faster shot. The best sharpshooting this side of Nowhere, essentially. Combined with the Theia Spectrum enhancing his sight, Juno's shooting is vastly improved, firing off rounds with deadly accuracy in seconds.

THE THEIA SPECTRUM | after the destruction of Juno's eye, Ramses O'Flaherty played patron to Juno and outfitted him with a brand new robotic eye that has a number of different modes, some of which are still undiscovered. It has night vision capabilities, the ability to read lips & calibrate the voices of their owners through sight, and a recording mode that can be connected to an upload link. It is also a precision weapon in that it aids Juno in shooting lightning fast rounds from his blaster by improving his brain-to-muscle reaction time drastically.

DISNEY PRINCESS | Juno has the uncanny ability to speak /commune effectively with animals. It's weird. He speaks quite casually with Martian rabbits who (as far as we've witnessed) only communicate in very indistinct animal grunting and snuffling noises (negotiating directions in exchange for a ten cred bill). It's weird. He's weird.

STARTING EQUIPMENT:
⇒ A long trenchcoat + clothing (right image)
⇒ The Theia Spectrum (an implanted robotic eyeball)
⇒ A blaster and 6 cartridges for it
⇒ His comms unit
⇒ Wallet (contains ID, some business cards, 20 creds)
⇒ A daemon named "DAHLIAD" who takes the shape of a white peacock and has an incredibly saucy attitude. Dahliad speaks with a questionable mid-tone voice that can't quite be placed in a specified gender range and it fluctuates, sometimes pitching high and sometimes pitching low.

SAMPLES: action/log w. tin can, i mean iron man and if that doesn't do it for you, here's a text thread w. darlene as a back up.

IN-UNIVERSE:

EXIT STRATEGY: Juno was cornered by some red armor-clad D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. agents when he got back to his office in Hyperion City after his most recent case. Cue a huge shoot out. Towards the tail-end of the fight, backed up against a window, Juno had two choices: he could be pinned down or he could take his chances falling out the window. Out of sheer spite, the Juno Steel Way (TM), he threw himself off the ledge, middle fingers up, and instead of landing (painfully) on the pavement, he fell into one of those really convenient portals that all the cool kids are falling into these days, which brought him here.

﹅ Darlene has no physical powers outside of those of a normal human. She possesses no enhanced strength, or any other abilities, but she is extremely skilled when in relation to technology, and more specifically hacking. She is one of the leaders of the hacker group known as fsociety. She is able to write her own programs (both malicious and otherwise), infiltrate network systems, and disable various other advanced security protocols.
STARTING EQUIPMENT:
﹅ the clothing on her back ( black tank top, black double breasted military style jacket, white/red striped shorts, black boots.)

EXIT STRATEGY: In the midst of a nice dinner with her on-again-off-again boyfriend Cisco, the Chinese hacker collective known as the Dark Army organizes an attack on the pair -- more specifically Cisco, who they believe has crossed them and needs to be eliminated. Just as the bullets start flying, the universe begins to tear itself apart around Darlene. There's an uncomfortable pressure in her ears (which are already ringing from the shots being fired) and a strange sensation in her entire body that almost feels like she's been hit by a ricocheting bullet or a piece shrapnel. In an attempt to try to escape the chaos happening, and assess her own damage, she ducks under her table and into a portal that drops her right into Xistentia.

POWERS: Dick Grayson is an entirely human vigilante. However, he does have some skills that could be considered somewhat meta human, including a very thorough training in all martial arts, a history in acrobatics, and genius-level IQ marks.

STARTING EQUIPMENT:
- nightwing suit
- escrima sticks, ft. electrical surges
- grapple hook/batclaw
- his daemon, an elephant named zitkad. china said he could be big!!!!

SAMPLES: intro thread @ eudio.

EXIT STRATEGY: With the eldritch horror of Bruce Wayne leftover after his death going on a killing spree throughout Gotham's crimelife, D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. arriving is a bit like the cherry on top of an already crap situation. Maybe Bruce himself would've handled the situation differently, but Bruce is gone and Dick is here, so he steps up alongside Tim Drake to unite the Justice League and battle the invaders head on. The two of them make an attempt to reach the Justice League's hideout on the moon in order to strategize with the other superheroes already there, but they encounter enemy marks. Dick, at the wheel, passes out unconscious, and when he wakes up it's to the Batwing crash landing into the waters of Xistentia. Tim is nowhere to be found.

CHARACTER NAME: Olivia Colomar, alias Sombra
CANON: Overwatch
CANON POINT: After joining Overwatch. 2017.
CRAU: No
AGE: 30
BACKGROUND:
here & here.

POWERS:
• Sombra has cybernetic implants in her spine that extend connections along her limbs and allow her to, as she puts it, "hack the planet", interfacing with technology through her fingertips. In-universe this allows her to suppress others' abilities, which I'm nerfing because how does that even work. Given the new universe is a program I imagine it will resist reality manipulation, too, but I'll leave her with the equivalent of technopathy and approach you on a case by case basis.
• Sombra has the ability to see enemies who are low on health through walls; I'm going to loosely translate this into an infra-red implant.
• She has a modified piece of technology that allows her to teleport short distances (she places the small metal item and can then blink back to it at any time within the next minute).
• Her outfit and enhancements are designed to be able to camouflage her, turning her essentially invisible for about a minute or until she interacts with the world.
• Finally she is naturally very skilled at hacking and computer technology.

STARTING EQUIPMENT:
• Bodysuit.
• Gun.
• Teleporter.
• Daemon is a white-nosed Coati whose fur matches Sombra's ombré purple hair. She has named it Wound.

SAMPLES: on the tdm.

EXIT STRATEGY: Sombra doesn't know if she's the only member of Overwatch who made it out. They make such a good team, but typically she works alone, and when she was swept up into the battle that seemed to suddenly overtake her world there just wasn't time to wait for the others. She met an NPC who filled her in on the enroaching apocalypse (muffled Imagine Dragons playing in the background) and though she wanted to stay and fight she barely escaped intact.

CHARACTER NAME: Mikaela Hyakuya
CANON: Seraph of the End
CANON POINT: Chapter 41
CRAU: No
AGE: immortally 16
BACKGROUND:
wiki

POWERS:

As a full, noble vampire who was turned by a high ranking progenitor, Mikaela is exceptionally strong for his age. Such strength usually only occurs in much older vampires, and Mika has only been an incomplete vampire for four years. And yet he is able to go toe to toe with those considering to be extremely strong. Now that he is a full vampire, his strength and speed are increased, making him a very formidable foe.

He has enhanced senses such as hearing, smelling, and vision. He's able to run extraordinarily fast and often dodge some of the most dangerous attacks. His vampiric strength also gives him an ability to jump to and from high places, landing without damage. He heals fast, provided he hasn't been struck by an anti-vampire curse.

Mika is also a skilled swordsman. Unlike most vampires at his level, he is able to use what's called a "first class armament", a type of sword usually reserved for the high ranking vampire progenitors. This sword, when activated by the words "Drink my blood," extends vine-like appendages out of the hilt. These vines wrap around Mika's hand and arm, pulling blood from him and granting him extra strength and speed. He's also able to unleash a dangerous blast wave by swinging his sword in a horizontal arc, blasting enemies away from him.

STARTING EQUIPMENT:
➔ his sword
➔ his white uniform with black anti-uv patch
➔ 5 vials of Yuuichirou's blood.

SAMPLES: dear-player
EXIT STRATEGY:

The world has already ended once for Mika's world but as the world ends for a second time, it's in the form of Yuu's seraph activating. The ground trembles, cracking under Mika and there's nothing he can do but watch as his best friend is turned into a monster. A wave of salt passes him and Mika blacks out. When he wakes up, it's in a completely new world.

BACKGROUND:
Trinity Blood Wiki - Ion Fortuna

Also: TB Wiki’s pages on Methuselah and The Empire for further background

POWERS: Most of his ‘special abilities’ are ones all Methuselah have, and include:
- Enhanced durability
- Healing factor
(*Unless* the wounds are caused by silver weapons/bullets; silver is poisonous to his kind)
- Super speed (20x faster than humans, is the number I’ve seen)

As far as unique skills, he has two of note:
- Swordsmanship
- Some kind of affinity for animals apparently? He gets along *really* well with other peoples’ pets, at least (ranging from housecat to flying squirrel thing to a frickin’ *tiger* that let him use it as a pillow)

STARTING tEQUIPMENT: Aside from the clothes on his back (which probably look something like this):
- his sword
- a back-up dagger
- whetstones and polishing cloths for both blades
- a small, half-full pouch containing an assortment of coins in various local (to him) currencies
- roughly a month’s supply of Aqua Vitae (blood substitute) tablets
- his daemon (an albino fox squirrel named Abeld)

SAMPLES:

EXIT STRATEGY: In Ion’s world, it started with an earthquakes and fire; his erstwhile traveling companion, Abel Nightroad, tried to get Ion to relative safety before rounding up as many others as he could - but a tear in reality had opened, either in the doorway itself or in the cellar floor. Either way, Ion fell through it and found himself in Xistentia.

IC:

CHARACTER NAME: Alexei ❝ Cain ❞ [redacted]
CANON: Starfighter
CANON POINT: Up to current canon ( chapter 5 page 21 at the point of this app )
CRAU: no
AGE: 22 years old
BACKGROUND:
| CAIN WIKIA
| FIGHTER WIKIA
| KINDA THE PLOT WIKIA

BRIEF SUMMARY:
In some x-amount of years into the future, humanity has colonized Mars to further their expansion into the galaxy. Unfortunately, they angered an unknown species of alien later dubbed the Colterons. The Colterons attacked Mars, claiming that the land held religious significance to them and that humanity was trespassing on sacred ground. They blew an orbital space station out of the sky, and humanity erected barriers around Earth and Mars to try to protect the planets. Thus, the navigator and fighter team fleets were formed to fight the Colterons.

Cain comes from one of the outposts on Mars, New Volga. His parents worked in the local factories, and his holder sister married and left home. He inherited his sister's rifle and used to win tournaments shooting it in local galleries. It was small money, but it was something.

Later, Cain was more or less pressed into joining the Alliance as a fighter after having been in the New Volga correctional facility. His file listed possession of an illegal firearm, trespassing, resisting arrest, and underage drinking among his crimes. With little options beyond prison or the Alliance, Cain accepted his role as a fighter in the Alliance program.

That's not all Cain was meant to do, though. While the exact wording of his commands are unknown, it is clear that Cain was tasked with somehow forging a bond with his navigator ( the implication is through seduction ). After failing twice, Cain is close to being booted from the Alliance program when he meets Abel. The pair hook up fairly quickly, and start to slowly develop a dependency on each other. At first, Abel seems like a pushover willing to take Cain's shit, but the pair learn from each other. Abel softens Cain's edges, and Cain presses Abel to be stronger, even against himself at times.

When Abel volunteers them to go into Colteron space to destroy a shipyard the enemy is building, the two board another Alliance vessel heading that way. Abel experiments with adding a new engine to the Reliant, a task given to him by the Alliance. When B-Team, sent out to further scanners into Colteron space, ends up attacked by enemy ships, Reliant and two other ships are deployed to defend the team and wipe out the enemy before they can return to their base. After nearly failing, Abel pushes the Reliant to attack the final Colteron in what looks to be a suicide run. After the explosion that should have killed Abel and Cain both, the ship manages to return unscathed.

Unknown to both boys ( though Abel is learning ), the new engine installed in the Reliant is of Colteron technology. It responds to strong emotions, such as the desire to protect ( in this case, Abel's desire to protect Cain ). Hence why Cain was tasked with becoming close to Abel.

After the battle, the pair drink and smoke together as a way of unwinding from all their stress. Cain reveals his name to be Alexei, leaving him vulnerable in a way that makes him uncomfortable. He ends up avoiding Abel, despite Abel sharing his own name with him, only to go running for the missing Abel when the Alliance calls all teams to strike.

POWERS:
Cain is a normal human. He has no special abilities of his own. He is an excellent marksman with a gun, and a strong fighter. He tends to dogfight a lot, and is better skilled with aggressive and uncalculated attacks. Although this does tend to leave him vulnerable in other ways. His aggression can be his greatest weapon, and his greatest weakness. Cain is a fighter in the Alliance as well, meaning he can't pilot an Alliance ship but he knows how to man the guns and always get his shot.

STARTING EQUIPMENT:
| the clothes on his back ( seriously, he's naked under that suit send help )
| The Reliant ( looks like the ship in panel 2 ) - the Reliant has the ability to shoot down other airships, however it requires a pilot still
| Myshonokd - little black mouse daemon

SAMPLES:
It's unlike anything he's ever seen before. The ever growing familiar feeling of dread threatens to grip Cain's heart as the Reliant tries to pilot it's way through a Colteron army of unseen proportions. It's impossible, he tells himself, somehow simultaneously prepared and unprepared to die.

Then there's a flash of light.

A sharp jolt as Reliant enters unknown atmosphere.

And a near catastrophic wreck.

The sandy surface of the beach is the only thing that saves Cain's life, but just barely. Half buried in the sand, the Reliant appears undamaged. There's a scuff on Cain's helmet, and his head is bursting with pain as he kicks at the door of the Reliant.

"Blyat!" He nearly screams. He climbs out of the ship, stumbling to turn around and check for...

His eyes go wide in his helmet.

"Abel?"

He throws his helmet off, he doesn't check where it lands. A cold feeling sinks deep in his bones as he searches for the pilot of the Reliant. "Abel!" He screams louder, scrambling down from the ship as he turns around in the sand. He's searching desperately, and later he'll realize that there's no way Abel was thrown from the ship. His belts were still fastened and the door securely shut. Abel's just... gone.

Hello.

Cain pauses, looking around for the source of the voice.

Welcome. I am your daemon.

Cain finally follows the source of the voice, looking down to see a black mouse standing in the sand. Talking to him.

"What the fuck is going on here?!"

EXIT STRATEGY: Already being ordered to prepare to attack, Cain finds Abel and the two board the Reliant. However, instead of preparing a sneak attack on the Colterons, D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. came in the form of the Colterons massively attacking the Sleipnir. While flying out, the two jump into a rift by mistake. Where Abel goes during the transfer to Xistentia is beyond Cain, but when he lands on the beaches of Xistentia he's alone in the Reliant.

CHARACTER NAME: Meliorn
CANON: Shadowhunters (TV)
CANON POINT: End of S1
CRAU: No
AGE: Unknown, most likely over 130
BACKGROUND:
The TV wiki link. I'll be supplimenting things from the book's wiki and this if I need to. If there's any discrepencies, I'll let the mods know.

POWERS: -Grace/swiftness: What it says on the tin. Meliorn is a supernatural creature, and can be unnaturally fast. Not flash levels of fast, and while he can't dodge a bullet he can side step a sword with ease.
-Magic/Ley lines: Meliorn is also able to sense and open portals to other dimensions thanks to ley lines. I fully expect this to be nerfed for game purposes.
-Truth: while not necesarily a power and more of a huge flaw, Seelie and fae are unable to lie.
-Deception: Because of the abovementioned trait, Meliorn's kind has become very, very good at verbage. He is extremely good at dodging questions, turning phrases back onto the other person and the like. This includes everything from haggling to intense interrogations.
-Nature: Meliorn and Seelie are tied with nature. Meliorn's knowledge of flora and fauna are exceptional, being one with them and even being able to move branches out of the way with his mind when conjuring portals.
-Seelie Knight: A knight in the Seelie court, Meliorn is able to defend himself expertly.
*if anything else gets revealed during the run of his canon, I will contact the mods and update!
STARTING EQUIPMENT: Normal clothes an the like, nothing special will be on him at his canon point. His Daemon will take the form of a Bunnyhawk, but small enough to perch on his shoulder. His daemon name will be Knightd.

SAMPLES: Here.

EXIT STRATEGY: In the chaos and destruction of the Seelie court, Meliorn was in charge of escaping with their Queen. In a last-ditch effort to get her somewhere safe, he opened a portal to what was supposed to be a different reality of their own world. Instead, he wound up here.

CHARACTER NAME: Diana Prince / Wonder Woman
CANON: Wonder Woman / DCEU
CANON POINT: Immediately following her victory in Veld, so about 3/4s of the way through Wonder Woman
CRAU: No
AGE: erm... acts early adulthood (maybe early 20s) but she's really like 5,000.
BACKGROUND:
a handy link (spoilers for Wonder Woman)

POWERS:
  • Demi-goddess/enhanced physiology: with super strength, enhanced senses, increased agility, super speed, and super reflexes. She can lift a tanker, hear and see people quite a distance away, walk through poison clouds, and do some general sneaking around (even if she is more likely to simply barge into a fight).

  • Levitation: She can leap an incredibly distance (at least the height of a building), as well as levitate and hover.

  • Omnilingualism: She can speak an incredibly number of human/Earth languages, including ancient Greek, Sumerian, Mandarin, Latin, English, French, German, and Spanish.

  • Immortality/Enhanced healing: As an Amazon and demi-goddess, she has been blessed with an extremely long life, enhanced healing (able to heal from a gunshot wound in a matter of hours), and extreme durability. She is still able to be wounded, especially by bullets and sharp objects.

  • Energy generation: Using her bracers, she can generate powerful shock waves. (At the canon point I'm pulling her from, she doesn't yet know she can control lightning.)

  • Fighting skills: Diana is trained in hand-to-hand tactics, swordsmanship, archery, and lassoing. She's also a skilled horseback rider.

  • General knowledge: Thanks to her training, Diana has a genius-level intellect, although she can be naive and not always display the greatest wisdom.

STARTING EQUIPMENT:
  • Daemon: ArionD, a golden tiger
  • Amazonian armor
  • Lasson of Truth
  • Bracers of Submission
  • God-killer, her sword
  • Amazonian Tiara

EXIT STRATEGY: Diana woke up in the middle of the night after falling into bed with Steve Trevor, hearing an odd sound. The Agents appeared as more German soldiers, bent on reclaiming Veld, and Diana wasn't going to have that. She attacked, only to find the enemy endless. The portal to Xistentia appeared as a doorway to a room - Diana intended to charge in, attacking whoever was there, only to end up in Xistentia. Her last image of her world was of Steve, calling out her name; she doesn't know if he lived.

POWERS:
- He's smart enough to go to the technical school that Peter Parker goes to.
- Capable of hacking Stark technology
- General engineering knowledge
STARTING EQUIPMENT:

Daemon is going to be named deathstard and will be a lego death star fully put together.
Will also have his backpack which has some textbooks, candy, his super cool party hat.

EXIT STRATEGY: It's a normal day for Ned on a school trip and checking out the Washington Monument. All seems well until suddenly the power core is exploding -- at least that is what Ned thinks is causing the issue. The elevator is quickly becoming unstable as the Monument itself begins to shatter. Maybe it's an earthquake instead? Ned's not really sure but where the explosion had originated there's now a vortex and sort of scary looking portal. However, Ned's other option is to drop to his death in the elevator so he makes a leap through the vortex and hopes it's not going to just pull him apart and if it does that it would be less painful than the elevator death.

CANON POINT: The end of the movie. (Enough time to say he'd gotten settled at the institute, I'd assume.)
CRAU: No.
AGE: Eighteen.
BACKGROUND:
handy link (under 'revised timeline')

POWERS:
-Teleportation - He is able to teleport to any place, as long as he knows where he is going. His teleportation gives him the appearance of being vaporized into a very brief puff of blue-black smoke wherever he teleports to or from and the scent of sulfur is left behind. His limit is roughly 3 miles, however the further he teleports, the greater the risk of injuring himself by re-appearing within a solid object or straining his body. Nightcrawler's teleports have a side effect of weakening his passenger(s), especially those who are non-teleporters.

-Shadow Camouflage - Can seamlessly blend into darkness, though has very little practice with this.

-Prehensile Tail - Nightcrawler's tail allows him to grab onto objects with relative ease. His tail is strong enough to not only support his body weight but also lift an adult man completely off the ground. It is deft enough to fight with like a sword or blunt object and its tip is sharp enough to be a stabbing weapon, if used with enough force.

-Surface Adhesion - Kurt can cling to surfaces like walls, the ceiling, etc through micro-suction discs on the surface of his hands and feet.

-Superhuman Abilities/Durability/Reflexes/Senses/Resilience - Nightcrawler's agility, balance, reflexes, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels beyond the human body's natural limits. He can effortlessly dodge automatic gunfire and decisively teleport. He possesses enhanced eyesight, enabling him to see perfectly in the dark and in infra-red light. His hearing is also super acute. Nightcrawler possesses an extra-sensory spatial awareness, when teleporting into an area that he is not looking at.

STARTING EQUIPMENT:
-Daemon: Shebad (she's a silver-furred ocelot)
-Whatever clothes he happens to be wearing (Thriller jacket necessary, regardless) and his X-Man uniform.

SAMPLES: TDM

EXIT STRATEGY: Kurt figured it was going to be a normal day in the Danger Room, though during the simulation, something distracted him long enough to throw off his balance. He sees himself falling straight into a laser grid or spinning blades, but much to his luck, a portal appearing within his reach opens the possibility for him to escape being injured by the room. He assumes it's something to do with the facsimile of their training and goes through. Little does he know that it's something entirely different.

    POWERS:
Military Training: The military gave him a crash course on how to survive World War 2. With these skills he is able to survive on his own away from civilization, can do basic first aid, and also knows how to handle a weapon. He was skilled enough that the army ranked him as a sergeant before he even shipped out. It should also be noted that he is ranked one of the best snipers in US history.

Zola’s Serum: The serum that Zola injected him with during his torture at the hands of HYDRA was a knock off of the Super Soldier serum. While it has yet to do anything noticeable, it is what stops him from dying after he falls from the train. The serum is activated when he is retrieved and is turned into the Fist of HYDRA. It gives him super strength, inhuman reflexes, enhanced speed, as well as regeneration. To be activated his body would have to under go some form of strong radiation, just like how Steve's serum was activated.

Sterling Personality: Bucky is a charmer and all around good guy. He is more than willing to do whatever it takes to help a friend in need, and in survival situations he is more than willing to help others.

It was his fault they were in this mess. Some bad intel, Bucky believed, and then they got caught. He should have known better than to believe something too good to be true.

The facility in Austria made him ready for anything that these assholes could give him. Zola did things to him that he still didn't even understand. He knew whatever it was made him darker, a bit meaner, more vicious, and it hurt like hell. He wanted to channel those feelings into something good and make the best out of a bad situation. He knew he could, he had the will to do. That was the whole point of this little rag tag group they had. To take the anger the Nazis gave them and shove it back into their faces. He couldn't fight back right now though, all he could do was steel himself and be ready for that torture again. Instead it wasn't him that was getting hurt, it was Steve, and that just made it ten times worse than anything Zola or anyone else could do to him.

Each time they came for him he fought back, yelled, screamed at them to take him instead. Of course they didn't listen, they just pumped him full of drugs to keep him down and out, but still he wanted to fight back. Even if he couldn't feel his legs or arms, he would still fight with his teeth if he had too. He wasn't sure how many hours or days they were trapped in this cell, but finally they escaped. His clothes were stained with dirt, sweat and blood-- some of his own but mostly from the guards he killed to get here. His hair was a mess. He looked nothing like the neat, clean shaved soldier he normally was. His face was starting to get a bit scruff from days without shaving. His eyes were tired, red and sunken in from the ordeal. He didn't crack a smile until they were miles out and the sight of an old shack came into his view.

This place was their safety net, for now at least. It was dusty and showed it's age. The floors creaked, the cabinets were bare and the fire cold. The only thing that was in the room was an old mattress and a wobbly chair. He leaned up against the wall of the shack, a gun still in his hand as he peered out the window occasionally. The chances of them being followed were slim, the tracks they made in the snow should be covered by now...but he knew better than to think they were out of the woods yet. He sat in the wobbly chair as Steve took the mattress on the floor. Good, at least one of them should get sleep. Then Steve told him to come back from the door, to relax and rest. He just gave a thin smile and shook his head.

"Don't worry about me, pal." He was freezing, it hurt to breath, but he put on a brave face. "How are you feelin'?"

EXIT STRATEGY: While the Howling Commando's were going against Zola and his weird machines, the Red Skull used this time to take their ultimate weapon to New York. With no other choice the American forces dropped the atomic bomb onto Berlin, and met with great retaliation against HYDRA. It was during these events that that Bucky fell presumably to his death from the train, but instead a worm hole pulled him into this new and odd universe.

    IC:

    CHARACTER NAME: Sidon
    CANON: Breath of the Wild
    CANON POINT: Post-Ganon
    CRAU: No
    AGE: 100+
    BACKGROUND:
    Wiki link!
    Key Points

    • Once Ruta starts causing non-stop rainfall in the area of Zora's Domain, he sets out to request the aid of Hylians in hopes of stopping the Divine Beast. It is weak to electricity, which Zora are also weak to, and that's why they need a Hylian's help to handle shock arrows to defeat it. While Gorons can handle the shock arrows they are too heavy for Sidon to carry even as manly and strong as he is!

    • Link is the Hylian recruited to help, whom he discovers is the champion from over 100 years ago that disappeared after Calamity Ganon appeared and turned the Divine Beasts against them.

    • He assists Link in taking down the Divine Beast and restoring natural normalcy to Zora's Domain. The day is saved! Hooray!

POWERS: Sidon is one of the best swimmers among the Zora; this is shown by how he swims Link close to the Divine Beast Ruta in order to allow the Hylian to take it back from Ganon's control. He is also noted as a skilled archer though his skill isn't ever actually witnessed in-game.
    STARTING EQUIPMENT:

    • His daemon, the silver bracelet on his wrist, named Mipha'd

    • A silver bow

    • A silver spear

    SAMPLES: TDM Top-Level!

EXIT STRATEGY: During what was supposed to be a glorious era of peace, Sidon was working with Link on the restoration of some Zora monuments. The world was then pummeled by meteors, one of which struck the side of the cliff where Link and Sidon were standing. As Link plummeted towards the water below, Sidon leaped to rescue him but neither of them made it. Instead, they fell through a portal and landed in the ocean of Xistentia.
