For non-antagonists, tell us how the D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. apocalypse and the enemy appeared in their world, then describe the technology or magic the character used to escape their world.     Key Eudio events:
  • Originally went to Eudio only to "get his money back", as he came from a earlier canon point, but he learned that his son, Massimo. died so he decided to save his life. He eventually had to make the decision to let Massimo die, and for future events to play out as they were supposed to, for the sake of his romance with Mark. The overall arc was very painful for him and continues to be painful because he feels like he killed Massimo himself by choosing Mark over him.
  • Managed to form a "team" he considers to be like family outside of the team he joined in canon, these are people who have his loyalty.
  • Formed an unhealthy attachment to Joseph Kavinsky, who he has subconsciously used to fill the void his dead son left.
  • Married Mark.
  • Got a cat paw print tattoo on his right butt cheek.
  • Achieved two completed incentives: 1. To gain access to his bank accounts (which is irrelevant in Xistentia) and 2. Immortality, he won't die of old age or if he's "killed" (see 'powers').

  • POWERS:

  • Mesmer: He can control the locomotor system of others as if they were puppets. This can only be done with his hands so if they are restrained he can't use it, but it doesn't require line-of-sight (as in, he can mesmer people in other rooms even with the door closed). It doesn't work on animals, nor can he prevent others from using their powers, such as shifting into an animal, unless it requires movement that he can halt. This is also how he feeds himself.
  • Magical strength/resistance: Vex's mesmer is very strong and he has natural resistance to certain forms of fae magic. For example, Bo used her 'charm touch' on him and it didn't work, and he was strong enough to mesmer The Morrigan (dark fae leader), six fae elders at once (elders are some of the most feared fae), as well as Eros (minor ancient fae). However, his mesmer didn't work on Hades (ancient fae) and Hades' powers worked on Vex, so there is proof that he's not at the top of the "food chain".
  • Healing: Fae are quicker healers than humans. There are numerous examples of him healing quickly from injuries, but a good one is that he had his throat cut and lived, though he wasn't able to speak for a day the next day he was chatting like normal.
  • Immortality: Normally fae only have longevity, in that they live for thousands of years, but he achieved his Eudio incentive and now will no longer die from old age, starvation or injuries (though injuries will still temporarily incapacitate him as he doesn't instantly heal). He is not invulnerable. Vex doesn't actually know whether his immortality works so his survival instincts are still intact.

    STARTING EQUIPMENT:

    In-Universe:

    EXIT STRATEGY: It began as earthquakes which grew in severity by the minute. The sky filled with black clouds, wind and hail pummeled the city and finally lightning strikes specifically targeted buildings and people to destroy what hadn't already been torn asunder. Vex lived with Mark on the 23rd/24th floor of a skyscraper and they were watching a movie together when the attack started. Before they could try to escape the projection screen switched to a view of Xistentia, which Mark's arm was able to go into when he reached inside. Seeing it as magical intervention from certain death, as their home was literally falling apart around them, they held hands and stepped through. During the transfer process they were unable to hang onto each other and they were separated, Vex arrived on the beach alone.
    MORALITY: Vex is a survivor first and foremost and has only displayed the willingness to die twice; once while mourning his son and then when he refused to join the side of Hades against his newfound team. He's proven in the past that he'll commit atrocities to live, an example of that being when he condemned his family to a slow and painful execution as a deal to save himself. He then becomes a hitman for the Dark who killed and tortured his fellow fae, including children, which was a duty he performed without hesitation although he later admitted that he regretted the terrible things he did. He shows an aptitude for getting into trouble (always heckling authority), a readiness to fight (or "go down swinging" as he says), and is sexually aroused by danger in certain situations (he'll flirt with you regardless if you're an enemy). Ultimately, he'll do what needs to be done and he's willing to do whatever it takes to get Mark back even if that means he must become the monster he used to be.
    WAR ATTITUDES: While Vex typically prefers to sit back and let everyone else duke it out, he currently has a powerful need to rebuild his world so he can be reunited with Mark. He won't be the person who organizes missions because he's a shitty leader, but he'll push for others to do so and tag along. He likely complain and make inappropriate remarks during any adventures, but that's just Vex. Whenever he's motivated, which he has been in a few canon situations, he's there to battle it out to the end.
    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: He'll screw you and your entire family if that means it'll get him what he wants. Vex has no qualms about sex, though he does have a preference for getting it on with those who share his love of BDSM- he has kinks and he's not ashamed of them. True friendship is more difficult to obtain from him, and by "true" friendship I mean he won't or he'll hesitate to betray you if need-be. He's notorious for switching sides but he's proven he can be reliable for the people he cares about, or at least feel really bad if he turns on them (sorry Kenzi). As for romantic entanglements? Not a chance. He gave what little heart he had to Mark.
    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Normally Vex's focus would be on hedonism, building nightclubs and making as many physical connections as he could. But without Mark that's now secondary and his attention will be in exploration and discovery. He'll want to find the most information as fast as he can in order to rebuild his home and get his husband back. Whatever needs doing, no matter how dangerous or stupid, Vex will volunteer to get it done and so there's a high potential for him to harm himself in the beginning with reckless behavior. But hopefully with the support of his friends and forging new bonds with strangers he'll calm down and play it smarter.

    POWERS: Murphy can cook and survive torture, that's it, that's all he does.
    STARTING EQUIPMENT: Clothes + a back pack he carried all around Earth and Eudio with some basically emergency supplies stuff in it - food, bandages, some knives, a lighter, antiseptic, other crap like that. Think Boy Scouts camping, that's John Murphy's emergency apocalypse back pack. Also, his daemon is named Bellamid and it looks like one of the native elk things.

    In-Universe:

    EXIT STRATEGY: Kavinsky used his dream thief powers to dream him and Murphy up a big elk thing (that looks miraculously like the ones in Xist), which they then hopped on (with Kavinsky's dog) and fly out of Eudio on, while Eudio crumbled all around them. The elk, upon landing in Xist, then became Murphy's daemon, which he's named Bellamid.
    MORALITY: Morality is a complicated thing for Murphy, as he is portrayed as the morally grey character in a show that's all about sacrificing moral integrity for survival. Murphy's fairly unapologetic in being so, and has a strict priority of keeping himself alive over looking out for others or Doing The Right Thing. Up until Emori came into his life, there wasn't a single person he was willing to endanger his well being for in order to help out. Yet, as he's been growing in the last couple seasons, he's been forming opinions on what wrongs he's willing to live with, and what kind of survival he wants to have, for example, living is not enough, he wants to live but without isolation. He doesn't want to hurt people or cause people to die, but if it's him and the one person he loves over them, he will. It also helps that at some times, Doing The Right Thing also gives opportunities to help himself, and he's glad for that, typically, like stealing medicine to help the little girl in Arkadia.
    WAR ATTITUDES: War gets people killed, and thus, Murphy generally wants nothing to do with it. However, if his happiness is on the other side of that war, and he'll get only misery from where he is, he'll enter into it, but with an entirely self serving goal. If a leader makes a stupid strategic choice, you can bet your ass Murphy's going to ignore it and do his own thing. He's very, very much been a victim of war, from being a tortured prisoner several times over, to watching his friends slaughtered, to being the expendable to sacrifice For The Cause, so he considers any kind of cause other than Staying Alive in a war to be completely absurd. So, he won't want to do the Save Everyone thing, but thankfully, Emori is still on Earth, as far as he knows, and if fighting this war means protecting her, then he's all in it. But he would send everyone else's worlds to hell if the bargain was offered to get her somewhere safe and protected.
    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: John Murphy has all of one (1) truly intimate relationship, emotionally and physically, and that would be Emori. She's really the only one he's honest with, the only one he trusts, the only one he's admitted to loving. If he were from an s4 canon point, Raven might also slide in as a close friend, but otherwise, nah. Joseph Kavinsky, while in Eudio, became Murphy's closest friend, as well as lover, and a person he trusts to a point, mostly because Kavinsky is about as self-serving as he is, if not more, and that's at least reliable. Murphy generally assumes pretty much everyone is horrible when put under enough strain, and will turn on him in a second if given the right push, so it's very difficult for him to trust and become close with people. That's not saying he can't be social - the boy never shuts the fuck up, so he has social ties with plenty of people, he just isn't particularly close with most. Also, because he's a rude piece of shit. As far as physicality goes, he can cuddle and get sexy however much is needed, as long as it's serving a purpose to him or helping him get what he wants. Which can be lots of things, or just saving his world/Emori.
    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Murphy will be really conflicted with missions vs just stay in the city and be safe. He'll likely eventually get on board with it, especially with Emori's safety being on the line, and once he starts getting too restless just sitting in the city by himself. It helps that Murphy's very used to a life like this - sort of living for survival and fighting the effects of an apocalypse, so it's at least something that he knows. He doesn't like being in charge or in the spotlight, so it's not likely he'll try to get that deeply involved, but so long as it doesn't hurt his own survival, he's willing to lend a hand and go out of his way for this.

    POWERS: Adam will not come to Xistentia with any specific ability due to his severed connection to Cabeswater. Had the city it's own version of a ley line or something happened to awaken that part of him, his powers would be the following:

    → Using ancient mystical trees as protection.

    STARTING EQUIPMENT: His daemon, a small robotic car painted like a police vehicle that occasionally turns into a humanoid looking robot named Barricaded. One pair of jeans, socks, sneakers, and a faded coca cola shirt, plus a hideous velcro wallet with a $5 bill inside, and a pack of tarot cards.

    In-Universe:

    EXIT STRATEGY: Adam had been helping Ronan with his newly dreamt Cabeswater 2.0 - and by help, he was mostly just touching trees fondly - when D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. appeared, eating away at both real and dream world. The portal appeared as it reached the forest and both boys escaped through it at the last moment.

    MORALITY: Adam is someone who very much believes in doing what is right. He is a good person who is maybe not as personable as he would like, who finds injustice and cruelty very off-putting. While he hasn't had the best start in life, he never tries to use other people to his own advantage. He wants to succeed in life on his own merit. He also would do anything he could to keep his friends safe and well. However, that also has a negative aspect. Anything means anything, whether that be through letting someone die by supernatural circumstance or blackmail. He's not morally grey so much as there's a protective streak in him that doesn't care what he has to do to keep them alive. Bad people should be punished.

    WAR ATTITUDES: He will not want to fight physically initially, but he would want to help in ways he could stomach, and so missions that require brain over brawn he'd sign up for. The likelihood is too, that despite his issues with violence, if one of his friends goes on-mission Adam will have to follow like a worried mother hen.

    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: He's quite difficult to get to know at first. Adam has spent much of his life feeling unknowable, a strange creature who doesn't fit in anywhere in the world. He'd struggled with connecting well to even the closest of his friends, over analyzing everything about himself to the point where he feels awkward and judged. There's been some mellowing as of late. He'll be more open to making friends and alliances, because everyone here is in the same point. Romantically, Ronan will be with him and so it is very unlikely that Adam would be open to that anywhere else because his boyfriend is a good catholic and anyway Adam loves him.

    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: He'll be very much for saving the world he'd come from, especially considering some people he cares for might have been left behind. However, he's not much of a fighter and so his main interest would be information gathering and that means talking to everyone he can even though it's awkward and difficult. If Adam thinks someone might know something helpful or useful he'll make it a point to find out, using his time and energy to even go so far as to pick up new skills. The fact that he's not alone might help soothe him enough that while he is in Xist he'll try to find a place in it, something of a home, even though that too is a foreign concept.

    In-Universe:

    EXIT STRATEGY: While one brother was being unmade by a demon and the other brother (the one near him, that is to say, Matthew, who was being also unmade by the same demon) the unmaking started to spread. In that time and while Matthew was coming literally undone (booooo) Declan got up to try and find something - anything - to stop this, and found, instead, a portal. Hoping to find help, because his life is a magical shitshow and he’s the only normal thing in it, instead he found, well. This.

    MORALITY: Declan is extremely family oriented, despite the fact that some might not believe so, and he’s also intensely protective of the people in that family. Even when he’s fighting with or not speaking to or strictly on punching terms with them, he’s still keeping an eye out. His morality is always to protect his family, and he’ll do anything for that (which includes killing people). He’s pragmatic to the core, doing what needs to be done, without heed for his own comfort (he did, after all, allow a fight with his brother to wage for two years instead of sitting Ronan down and explaining why Niall chose what he chose for their family, which might have actually saved everyone a lot of grief, for the sake of keeping Ronan a little innocent a little longer of his father’s carelessness). In that regard, his morality always turns to what needs to be done. It must also be said that he has a politician's heart and so he is driven by his ambition as well.

    WAR ATTITUDES: Declan is a fighter in as much as he’ll fight for his family, and that being his family survival. This doesn’t mean he’s passive, and he understands that survival can mean the survival of his whole world, so he’ll likely take an interest in the needs of fighting D.E.S.T.I.N.Y to perpetuate his own world and to protect it for that reason. His pragmatic side will absolutely see a need to establish himself well here, so he wouldn’t just be for that, however, and he would take an interest in the affairs of this world as well.

    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Declan is pretty bad at intimate relationships, possibly due to the fact that he was raised to keep an eye out on his brothers. This isn’t to say that he’s not good at faking it, however, and has been said to be a bit of a playboy (man-whore is actually the term used) when it comes to ladies. He makes friends fast, because he’s extremely charming, but those relationships seem to mostly be on a surface level in his own world, because naturally, he has so many secrets that he absolutely needs to protect, particularly the ones surrounding his brothers and his family. In this one, he might be willing to be a bit more open if the relationship becomes particularly meaningful, but it would take a great deal of work. Romantic relationships are absolutely possible, but in general will likely be very easygoing affairs; Declan has a particularly low perception of love when it comes to himself.

    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: He’s likely to really get involved in the situation of his family’s involvement, which is to say: he’ll always do whatever needs to be done to protect them. If that means getting involved in missions, then that’s what he’ll do. As pragmatic as he is, he’ll likely measure everything out in terms of value, both in value for him, and value for the greater good. He’s a politician at heart so part of him would want to get involved in that as well - not necessarily politics, but in the inevitable leadership that would arise from a situation like this one, with a very distinct bent of personal gain as the end result.

    POWERS: Ronan has the ability to bring items out of his dreams. Magical items, like torches that never go out, little robotic insects made to find someone, incandescent flowers, pieces of armor, hand cream, but also much bigger things - cars, for example. But it doesn't stop there; he can also bring back alive things, monsters and beautiful people alike. When he has nightmares, he can inadvertently bring back to reality what he calls his night terrors, terrible clawed single-minded monsters, looking to kill him and everything he loves. Ronan can, as long as he's got the ley line energy close by, dream anything into being. (happy for this to be nerfed)

    EXIT STRATEGY: D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. appeared as an extension of the Unmaker; outside of Cabeswater, the world started to break apart - corrupted, oozing blackness until it started shredding at fabric of reality, in and outside of Cabeswater. The virus tore through Cabeswater, creating a fracture in the program allowing Ronan to escape his world.
    MORALITY: There isn't much that Ronan wouldn't do for the people he considers his; his found family. Despite misgivings, despite his violence, he tends to do the right thing, and he is not a murderer. He is a bit of a criminal and pursues thrills without caring if it breaks the law or not, but he can still be found on the right side of the 'good vs evil' fight - even if he'd argue the opposite. His limits are bendable, and depend on the circumstances and the involved parties.
    WAR ATTITUDES: The answer to this would be, for Ronan, both of these things. He is much more of a fighter than a habitat for humanity kind of guy, and going out to find things and people to punch in the face would definitely be what he would start off doing - as long as he can be left alone to do it, and isn't made to follow some makeshift leader. As mentioned, he'd do anything to protect his own, and fighting D.E.S.T.I.N.Y can help his world, he will most definitely be there.
    But Ronan also has a very strong instinct to make a home, to perpetuate the Lynch name, and what his father attempted to do with the Barns. So he will definitely be around town, carving a corner and making it his own, dreaming up a reminder of his former home in this new one.
    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: This will be the more difficult part for him, and may largely depend on who, from his world, ends up in the firewall with him. Back home, he is feeling out the beginnings of a new - his first - relationship, and he won't want to throw it away quickly. He is slow to trust, and is constantly abrasive and abrupt, but willing to make friends, even if he will never show it, or admit it. So friendship is most definitely on the table, but anything romantic with someone else than Adam would take a very long while to build, and Ronan would adamantly resist it.
    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Ronan would most definitely want to set his world to rights and fight D.E.S.T.I.N.Y any chance he gets, so missions would be on his list of activities. Along with that, growing used to Gansey's quest has injected some of Gansey's unending curiosity into Ronan, and exploration would be another thing he'd want to do - even if it is in a reckless way (in the middle of the night, by himself, someone fight him). But also, he'd want to recreate his childhood home, with was built as a dairy farm - with the intention of potentially making a business out of it. There is also the possibility of a shadier side of commerce, the black market of magical objects, but Ronan would be extremely reluctant to get into it.

    Wiki Link — Note that the Wikipedia writers are phrasing with certainty what is actually only rumor and speculation in the books. Kavinsky has almost zero confirmed and corroborated backstory, and just as little narrative. However, based on the rumors, my interpretation includes:
    • His father was not a Bulgarian mob member, but mob-affiliated. Mr. Kavinsky was not necessarily trying to murder his son, as accused, but he was abusive, based largely on a homophobic reaction.

    • Kavinsky attempted to kill his father, but contrary to his claims, he actually failed. Kavinsky is not a talented enough dream thief to have created a convincing doppelganger.

    • Kavinsky is bisexual

    • Multiple teenagers in Henrietta are dead or have been hospitalized because of exposure to Kavinsky's drugs (overdoses), including Prokopenko himself

    • In their final dream encounter, Ronan's observations that Kavinsky's nightmare dragon hates Kavinsky himself is accurate and reflects the underlying mechanics of Kavinsky's mental health problems. Specifically, while he is entitled, violent, and harmful to others, he hates himself more.
    With regard to CRAU, Kavinsky
    • arrived in Eudio at moment of death, regretting his suicide and incentivized to have a "do over" in his life where external factors would be changed (still avoiding responsibility). He obtained help for his addictions accordingly, discovering among other things he had only 25% of his liver functioning.

    • blackmailed former castmate, Ronan, into helping him dream-create a pure-spirited water dragon to protect him from his nightmares. Specifically, he knew he would lose control but was too selfish to risk giving up his powers.

    • thus avoided working on his deeper-rooted psychological problems, until he accidentally created the monster that ransacked part of the city in March 2015, targeting people he liked. Note, the water dragon ultimately destroyed it, but not before many were injured. In punishment, the representatives stripped him of his dream thief powers for over 6 months. He also did community service, went to therapy, and took medications.

    • fell in love once more in Eudio, and it ended badly, but not as badly.

    • more importantly, made friends based on genuine emotional connections for the first time in his life, rather than fear and narcotic addictions and control. These friends included his roommates, Ash, Minho and Newt, brief girlfriend Bliss, Eponine, Caroline Forbes the vampire, Rafaello and Vex ("mom and dad"), Amanda, John Murphy, and others.

    • sought and obtained agreement from the vampire Rafaello to turn him into a vampire-dream thief hybrid (mods OOCly approved). However, he will be ejected from Eudio before this can happen.

    • is in the process of falling in love some more. As a general rule, Kavinsky gets worse before he gets better
    POWERS: Kavinsky is a dream thief, which means he can utilize ambient energy to manifest physical objects from his dreams. These objects can subvert physics or even include sentient beings. However, as I plan to have him gain vampire hybrid powers in-game, I am happy to have these nerfed. It could be helpful to go off some of the limits imposed by the Eudio reps, such as they blocked him from creating sentient creatures and any single object larger than a car.

    EXIT STRATEGY: In Eudio, D.E.S.T.I.N.Y manifested itself in national disasters, including severe earthquakes. Kavinsky was with Murphy at the time and he used his dream powers to manifest something that would help them to escape-- it turned out to be one of Xistentia's white elk, suggesting F.A.T.E.S.' intervention more than Kavinsky's genius. Seconds before they would absolutely have to flee, Aric apeared on his horse, and the three were able to leave together with their animals.

    MORALITY: Kavinsky remains a tremendous asshole, though he's grown up since canon. The worst of his old, shock-value, impulsive repertoire is gone-- he's unlikely to punch or sensually touch anybody's back without consent, or at least not without reasons comparable to the other children in his canon; he's even less likely to kidnap someone in hysterical gay revenge. However, these visible improvements conceal the fact most of his underlying personality dysfunction is still there. His worst trait is that he tries hardest to hurt those he cares about most. His dramatic self-loathing is a way he avoids honestly taking responsibility for the wrong he has done and still does, from the little ways he tries to offend people every day to those who died because of him in Henrietta.

    WAR ATTITUDES: Though he's yet to murder anyone yet, righteous violence has always come quite easily to Kavinsky. In canon, he escalates beyond any sense of reason. Post-CRAU, he is less likely to act out so badly, but he still has fewer limits than most people in Henrietta when it comes to violence. He is also depicted as being oddly efficient in the face of a non-human monster attack where others panic, killing the creature nonchalantly, and this aspect isn't gone from him just because he's mad Eudio has pooped out. Though he has no formal tactical training, he is a good shot and can handle himself without freezing.

    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Physical intimacy is much easier for Kavinsky to accomplish than genuine emotional connections. He is terrible at vulnerability. That being said, he does tend to have a lot of strong emotions and thoughts about people, under his veneer of rude indifference. He is capable of friendships, but grief over the loss of Eudio will lead to spiteful and nasty self-protective measures, exacerbated by the loss of his psychiatric medications. His CR is likely to be more mixed than ever!

    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: The current plan is to outfit most if not all of the city with vehicles and transportation, then live indefinitely off business services and goods on 'payment plans.' Short of or apart from that, Kavinsky held several legitimate jobs in Eudio for the first time in his life, mostly in nightlife and entertainment and enjoyed that. He is also likely to contribute to construction and other community development to stroke his own ego by showing off his powers. Alternatively, he likes going out and exploring and killing stuff because he's bored.

    BACKGROUND:
    Full history | Verse | State of the World

    • Rafa spent his childhood in Messina, Sicily. He was raised by vampires, along with other children whom he was told to call siblings. They grew up in isolation from the human world, and as they neared maturity, were forced to fight to the death with the promise that the champion would live forever.

    • Rafa became the champion, and was turned into a vampire by the King.

    • As the Prince, he was sent to fight and lead his new father's army in their war against the Fae - faeries seeking to invade the human world.

    • So began two and a half centuries of war. Rafa had a talent for torture, and was his father's main interrogator during that time.

    • To humans, he played the role of a courtier, spending his free time indulging in entertainment, drinking, sex and blood.

    • At the age of 250, he was sent to England to aid the Rurikid vampires, as they had guard over a Door to the Fae realm which was opening. Rafa was able to reconnect with Nikolai Rurikid, who he had known since they were both human, and with whom he was in love.

    • He also met and fell in love with Shane, a halfling sorcerer powerful enough to defeat Rafa in battle and thereby earn his interest.

    • In time, they and their allies were able to close the Door, but Shane was trapped on the other side.

    • A devastated Rafa was obsessed with getting him back, which led to him going to Eudio the first time.

    • Among his allies was a pack of werewolves, whom he had befriended in England. He managed to turn them into hybrid vampires, which had never been done before.

    • One of them, Hunter, became Rafa's lover in the wake of Shane's disappearance.

    • After Hunter was hurt by another vampire, Rafa feared that he was using him to cope with Shane's loss. Wanting to avoid hurting him too, Rafa ended their relationship, which only ended up hurting both of them.

    • Meanwhile, the war was continuing. Rafa and Nikolai married, and challenged their vampire 'parents' for leadership of their covens. Their success led to them claiming their thrones, and then uniting their kingdoms into one. They spent the next three centuries expanding their territory and fighting back the Fae.

    • Shane eventually escaped, bringing the warning that more Fae would be following him.

    • In the now modern world, it was increasingly difficult for the vampires to maintain the secret of their existence. To control the story, they revealed themselves to humanity, outing the Fae as invaders at the same time.

    • Following Shane's return, Rafa became more settled and reunited with Hunter. He made them his second and third husbands respectively, and his focus shifted away from fighting, and towards keeping his family safe.

    • When the opportunity came, the vampires agreed to an armistice with the Fae, leading to an uneasy peace as both sides tried to find their way in a world that now knew about them. Rafa's second stint in Eudio came at this time.

    Eudio CRAU:
    • Rafa spent a total of 11 months in Eudio. He originally went there at the age of 273, during the time that Shane was trapped in Fae. His first incentive was to secure Shane's freedom.

    • This marked the first time Rafa had ever lived among humans rather than vampires. He developed particularly close relationships with a number of characters, including - to his own surprise - a faerie named Vex, whom he would have attacked if not for Eudio's rules around non-violence. He also grew close to Dick Grayson, beginning intimate relationships with both of them.

    • Rafa was also deeply influenced by Alec Lightwood, a Shadowhunter who believed strongly in the sanctity of human life. Alec's hardline attitude began to make Rafa rethink his own attitude to humans, particularly since Alec reminded him of Shane.

    • Alec also shared a face with Hunter, who also arrived in Eudio, and at that time was estranged from Rafa. Alec was instrumental in getting them to reconcile. In the end they married, despite Hunter having come to Eudio from a point some three hundred years in Rafa's future.

    • Knowing he needed to preserve the timeline Hunter remembered, Rafa returned home and spent the next 300 years waiting for Hunter to catch up with him.

    • Afterwards, Rafa returned to Eudio with a new incentive; immunity from the allergy to magic shared by vampires in his world.

    • Rafa's final three months in Eudio saw him solidify co-ownership of two businesses, the Wolf's Den and the Bloody Mystic.

    • His time here saw him make many friends, including a vampire named Axel with whom he became very close, and Joseph Kavinsky, a human who asked to be turned into a vampire.

    POWERS: Rafa is a vampire! This means:
    Strengths
    • Enhanced senses: They can see in the dark, though are sensitive to light. They can detect the scent of their prey and hear well enough to pick out a beating heart in another room.

    • Immortality: Their bodies do not age and they are immune to human illnesses.

    • Vampire physique: They can move in the blink of an eye, and lift a car with one hand. They have proportionate durability to their strength, making them harder to injure.

    • Accelerated healing: Minutes for minor cuts, longer for serious injury. Drinking blood will speed up the process.

    • Powerful blood: Humans who drink their blood will gain temporarily heightened senses and any injuries will be healed. Vampire blood is addictive, with dependency increasing the more someone drinks. Eventually, they will become a thrall - a slave to the vampire (happy for Enthralling to be nerfed if desired).

    • Procreation: Vampires procreate by completely exchanging their blood with a human's. Part-humans can be turned, resulting in a hybrid. Both blood drinking and procreation will be governed by a permissions post.

    Weaknesses
    • Sunlight: Sunlight sets vampires on fire.

    • Religion: Sacred objects burn vampires, and they cannot enter holy places.

    • Fire: Fire kills vampires. They can heal providing they have not been completely consumed.

    • Stakes: To kill a vampire, a (natural, wooden) stake must be driven through their heart and their head must be removed. Both are required to prevent them from healing.

    • Blood: Vampires will fall into a coma without blood.

    • Invitation: Vampires must be invited to enter private residences.

    • Garlic: It repels vampires. It also cures addiction to their blood.

    • NOTE: Vampires of Rafa's kind are normally burned by magic. As he gained immunity to this in Eudio, magic will not harm him here.

    In-Universe:

    EXIT STRATEGY: D.E.S.T.I.N.Y came to light during Rafa's last days in Eudio. When analysis of the threat indicated that multiple worlds were being targeted, Rafa immediately chose to return to his own - if a fight was coming, he would stand with his people to face it. He had been in Eudio with one of his husbands, Hunter. They asked Eudio's management to send them home together, but Rafa will arrive here alone and with no idea what happened to Hunter. This will be his immediate worry on landing here.
    MORALITY: From a standard human perspective, Rafa has a skewed sense of morality. He grew up learning that he must kill to survive, and then spent most of his 500+ years at war. Killing only seemed wrong to him when it applied to someone he cared about. However, he is, and has always been, heavily influenced by the people around him; he wants to be liked, and if he's aware that something he's doing will put him on bad terms with someone he cares about, he'll stop. At his current canon point, the influence both of his husband Shane, and of the humans with whom he became friendly in Eudio, have given him cause to rethink his stance on killing. Additionally, he began to seek an end to the war he'd been fighting for so long - not because he thought it was wrong, but because he was always afraid it would break up his family again. This has also influenced his stance on killing. He is now reluctant to kill (in cold blood, at least), and does not kill at all when he's feeding. Rafa has never had much of a moral compass of his own, but he does recognise 'goodness' in others - and he considers it to be something he lacks. He wants to be more worthy of the good people in his life, even though the instincts he was raised with have never really gone away.
    WAR ATTITUDES: Rafa is painfully used to war. From his perspective, his people have recently ended a centuries-long war with the Fae, in which Rafa acted first as solider, then as General, and then as King. As discussed above, peace is something that he craves in order to secure the safety of his family. However, he is still more used to war than peace, and he has a natural instinct to fight even though he feels tired of doing so. He is an experienced strategist and leader, and has always preferred to lead from the front rather than sit back as King. His priority is his family, and by extension, his kingdom as a whole. D.E.S.T.I.N.Y threatens their whole world; it is absolutely natural to Rafa to fight them. He would fight to kill.
    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Rafa is polygamous. He has three husbands, and several committed-but-not-married relationships which he's keen to preserve. This would not be a barrier to him starting new sexual relationships, though he is less likely to seek them out than in the past - he's happy with his lovers, so he's not desperate to find someone new. Despite this, it has always been, and remains, easiest for Rafa to navigate sexual relationships than anything else. Casual relationships with Rafa are relatively rare, unless they relate purely to sex. He is a loyal, possessive friend; once someone starts to mean something to him, he won't want to let them go - but even his friendships often have a sexual undertone. The concept of family has always been difficult for him, since for a very long time, the only blood relatives he'd ever known had been his competition - there was no love between him and his siblings, or between him and the vampire he called his father. He has a better track record with found families; his husbands are the family he's chosen, his 'sister' Lark is adopted, and in Eudio he was able to develop brotherly relationships with Alec Lightwood and Rosie Nurumi. Eudio also granted him a vision of a possible future which included children, a concept that had previously unnerved Rafa. The vision has made him rethink it, with a part of him keen to expand the family he's managed to gain.
    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Rafa's priority here will be the safety and security of his own kingdom. If that means protecting this world first, then he's game. It's also worth noting that he's used to staying busy, and has never done very well with idleness. When he's not actively fighting the enemy, he's likely to channel his efforts into other kinds of work. He owned two businesses (a training dojo and a bar) in Eudio, and chances are high that he'll want to do something similar here if it's at all possible. Rafa is also someone who craves company; he likes to be surrounded by people, and he's likely to put himself in situations where he will be.

    EXIT STRATEGY: In Eudio, D.E.S.T.I.N.Y came on the wave of natural disasters. Kenzi being the fashionable fool that she is, will be wearing a killer pair of heels and while running for her god damn life, will fall right through a portal that appears on the stairs of her apartment building. It will take her a bit longer to show up because... Kenzi always makes an entrance even when she doesn't mean to.

    MORALITY:
    Kenzi grew up learning how to con and steal from those who raised her and then it was her way of surviving when she lived on her own. She is not above to returning to that lifestyle if required and she will do what she can to survive and help those she cares about survive.

    And while she would steal and cheat to survive, it would take a lot for her to kill. She is a fighter, she is willing to fight, to sacrifice herself even, but she's not much of a killer, unless she's defending herself or the ones she loves.

    WAR ATTITUDES:

    Kenzi is going to go with her crew. So depending on who arrives, depending on who she's friends with, she will either say in town and life-build or she will go out on missions. Now that she's got her fae powers, she'll be less reluctant to put herself out there to help because she can protect herself and she won't put others in danger trying to protect her.

    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS:

    Kenzi is SO good at making friends. Mostly because she's so damn charming and you can't help but love her weirdo self. She is nosy and will try to bring anyone who is feeling down and blue, up. She is a fiercely loyal friend and will undoubtedly make some new ones in this setting as well as, hopefully, reconnect with old.

    As for sexual intimacy, that's another issue. She's in love with Barclay Odell from her time in Eudio, so she won't be hooking up like she did in cuddle city.

    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS:

    Kenzi is usually the sort of... cheerleader/heart of a situation. She will encourage people to do things and help however she can. She's pretty... useless in terms of manual labor or cooking or anything requiring math but if there's a con or a trick to be done, she will be all over it. With her new fae powers, I'd imagine she'll use them for whatever good she can, as she learns how to use them.

    ▪ The Hunger is the main antagonist for this arc of The Adventure Zone. It is a cosmic force that invades and consumes entire planes of existence. There is no fighting it, and no surviving it.

    ▪ The Hunger started as a human named John, an orator/philosopher who pondered eternity and found it wanting. Instead of accepting his limitations, he grew furious with existence and decided to fight back.

    ▪ John shared his views with the people of his world and they too became dissatisfied with existence. Together their fury and hate transformed them into the Hunger.

    ▪ The IPRE first encountered the Hunger as they were leaving their plane on an exploratory mission. It has followed them to every plane they visit, yet miraculously they manage to survive and escape.

    ▪ Merle first made contact with John in a series of parlays. They developed a rapport bordering on friendship, though ultimately their worldviews were too different to reconcile.

    POWERS:
    Collective Entity John has grown from a single human into an amalgam of beings, having absorbed entire planes of existence. In this form, John appears as a hulking black mass inlaid with bright colorful streams of light representing the bonds of all the worlds he's consumed. I'm ok with him being limited to human form while in game.

    Extraplanar Travel The Hunger can travel between planes of existence, what we would call universes. This would be how he arrives in game.

    Conjuration John seems able to manipulate the pocket dimension where he meets Merle, creating such creature comforts as a glass of water and a chessboard. He also can summon magical black flame which will burn a person from the inside out. I'm okay with the damaging effects of this ability being limited due to game mechanics.

    STARTING EQUIPMENT:
    Daemon An intricately made wood and metal chess set that operates through careful manipulation of its pieces. John would not think to give it a name, but if prompted would call it Highchurchd.

    EXIT STRATEGY: The Hunger, going about its purpose, comes into a new plane only to find it already destroyed. Same goes for the next plane, and the next. Every plane the Hunger comes to is already obliterated or in the process of becoming so. Seeing nowhere else to turn, the Hunger ventures outside the planar system entirely, and finds itself-- or himself-- crash landed upon a beach with other refugees.

    MORALITY: There is nothing John wouldn't do to achieve his goal of defying the limits of eternity. He hasn't been weighed down by mortal concerns or emotions in a long time, and considers himself above such things.

    WAR ATTITUDES: John will do whatever it takes to stop the spread of destruction and guarantee himself more planes to absorb. If that means laying low, making "friends" and gathering information, then that's what he'll do. If that means volunteering for more dangerous missions, then so be it. It will be hard for him to consider joining along with anything unless he sees some benefit in it for himself, however.

    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: See above comment re: John and emotions. Forming relationships will be hard for him as he doesn't see the point in them when they won't last beyond mortality. However, the groundwork for a change of heart has been laid by Merle through their many conversations, so only time will tell how John responds to being around other people, one on one, again.

    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: In his mortal life, John was a public speaker. His words were so persuasive, he swayed his entire world to his point of view. That said, he will be biding his time at first, not getting involved in the efforts of his fellow travelers, because he doesn't see himself as being on the same level as them. He sees himself as someone— something greater, and will remain aloof and observant, waiting for an opportunity to appeal to him as something worth doing. As for his contributions, he's more likely to provide motivation than anything concrete or helpful.

    CRAU: Will went to Eudio and lived there for about three months. Nothing much happened to change him personality-wise, but while there, he did realize he was in love with his boyfriend, Nico. He also made friends with Vex, a friend of Nico's; Mark, Vex's husband; Katniss, someone who he taught archery classes with; Alec and Rafa, his two bosses, the first who was also an archery friend; and Rosie, a fellow musician. He also got to be better friends with a fellow demigod from home he knew before, Percy.

    POWERS:
    - Natural talents: He has a few things he's naturally talented in as a son of Apollo, although not nearly as much as his siblings (he's more of a healer). These are archery, athleticism, and music.

    - Healing abilities: He can sense what is wrong with someone physically through touch and channel healing energy into them to help them heal faster, although doing so physically drains him. There is a limit as to how much healing he can do to save someone - if it's something along the lines of what a regular doctor can do quickly to save someone's life, Will can do it with a speedier recovery for the patient but he can't perform a miracle. For example, if someone has a wound that he can't patch up quick enough to prevent too much blood loss or if someone has been poisoned and the poison has spread too deep, he can't save them.

    - Other healing knowledge: He knows how to do a variety of 'normal' medical things like bandaging wounds, setting broken bones, stitching people up, and even performing surgery as complicated as reattaching limbs. He also has some demigod medicinal things, like a silver paste he smears over a poisoned wound and medicinal gum he says will keep someone 'alive and alert' for awhile when they're close to passing out from overexertion.

    - Misc. stuff: Can curse people to speak in rhyming couplets. Can do a loud ultrasonic whistle that hurts people's ears and stuns them slightly. Almost all demigods are said to have ADHD and dyslexia because they have innate battle reflexes and their brains are hardwired to read Ancient Greek, but Will doesn't have these as noticeably as some other demigods do.
    STARTING EQUIPMENT: His daemon is going to be an male orange tabby cat he is going to dub Garfield and probably just call it Gar for short. Bow and arrows, celestial bronze dagger, his medical bag containing first aid supplies and other stuff of his own making like what's described above in his abilities section, bottle of nectar and a bag of ambrosia for demigod healing, and his guitar.

    In-Universe:

    EXIT STRATEGY: Eudio was literally falling apart due to severe storms and earthquakes, so Will found Nico and the two of them tried to find anyone else they knew to make sure the people they cared about were okay and getting out too. However, a stray rock from a falling apart building hit Will in the head, resulting in his head bleeding enough to stun him for a little bit and also freak Nico out, so Nico grabbed him and shadow travelled them away. Nico will either arrive with him or have gotten separated from him somehow during the transition (Unsure if Nico player is planning to app this round too or is going to do so later).
    MORALITY: Will's self-defined morals and actual limits are pretty much the same. He's a selfless healer who will do whatever he can to save someone, running into battle without question to act as a combat medic. Killing someone is only something you do if there is absolutely no other option left. He'll put his life in danger with no problem if it means he can help or save people. He is the kind of person who, if forced to chose between saving the person most important to him or saving 100 other people, he would save the 100 other people even if it would emotionally destroy him to do so. If people are fighting, no matter how violent it got, he'd try to diffuse the situation with talking first or try to physically step in and break up the fight if there was physical fighting. While he has looked the other way when people do things for personal benefit sometimes, he only does that if what they're doing isn't going to hurt anyone. He doesn't agree with breaking laws like stealing, but in an emergency situation, he'll do so if it's necessary to help someone - for example when he told someone to go steal medical supplies during a major battle but insisted that they leave money behind to pay for it.
    WAR ATTITUDES: Will would be interested in both helping to build the community and going out on missions. He's lived through two wars of which he participated in at least three major battles as an archer and a combat medic, so he wouldn't shrink away from going along on missions to make sure people don't die on them if something bad happens. While he's not a front line fighter, he is capable of reasonably defending himself.
    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Will is absolutely open to positive relationships. He's calm, friendly, caring, and not opposed at all to physical affection. With friends, he'll hug them with no problem and he wouldn't have a problem hugging a complete stranger he just met either. As far as anything beyond that, he'd need to know them more before he'd be comfortable kissing them and he'd only sleep with someone he genuinely wanted to be intimate with. He sometimes pushes people to consider stepping out of their personal comfort zones but he'd never push someone to do something they were truly uncomfortable with or flat out didn't want to do. There wouldn't be a lot of obstacles he'd face in regards to this - for example, he's completely fine with his boyfriend seeing other people. Will gets along with just about everyone. He's even shown calming down the camp bully in the series he's from. He'd much rather make friends than enemies.
    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Will would absolutely throw himself into the role of being a healer. He's well experienced with it back home and while he appreciated the break he had at Eudio from the intensity of being his camp's best combat medic, being one has been his life for probably a good solid five years or so. He would immediately step back into the role. He'd be interested in exploring and discovering things, but he'd also want to set up some sort of health clinic if there isn't one, to make sure people have a place they can go to if they're hurt or sick.

    Amanda spent nearly a year in Eudio, coming there shortly after her first visit to help the crew of The Destiny. Her incentive was mostly fulfilled from the moment she came here--her desire to walk again. She also asked that she be allowed to keep that ability when she returned home, her hope being that if the Destiny's crew returned to Earth, it would allow her to pursue a relationship with Nicholas Rush.

    While she did make some (awkward) attempts at flirting and intimacy in Eudio, the most notable effect on her stay there was her bizarre friendship with Joseph Kavinsky, which only started when she accidentally acquired his dream thief powers. Although when they first spoke Amanda found him more than a little aggravating (which was not helped by the fact she had just woke up to a half melted computer that she hadn't meant to pull into reality in her room), the fact he did not pity or coddle her when she told him of her past disability and was relatively willing to teach her to focus her newfound powers made him strangely endearing to her. It was because of him that she learned to drive, had her first big 'grown up' birthday party (complete with a penis hat) and generally started to live for something other than her work.

    EXIT STRATEGY: As quakes began to destroy Eudio, a portal not entirely dissimilar to the iris of a Stargate opened in her apartment. Given the world she was in, and the fact that she had scattered bits of her work computer containing notes on Gate technology (thanks to her first unconcious act of dream thievery) Amanda did not question the portal's appearance in her apartment and trusted it to act like the Gates she knew and simply jumped.

    MORALITY: While she can appear to be an absolute goody twoshoes and often is, Amanda will lie to protect and help people she cares for (as she later does in a very huge way in canon to help Nick), and tries very hard not to judge people who might steal/commit other crimes without knowing their motives first. However, she could never intentionally hurt someone physically or emotionally, and she would never take something from another person that she could absolutely do without. If it came to her pulling the literal or metaphorical trigger for someone she loved, Amanda would be deeply conflicted--she would panic and try to insist there had to be another way, a better way, as much as she could. Having spent a lifetime relying on other people for her most basic needs, having to trust that they would not take advantage of her inability to defend herself, has left her with a desire to make sure that others are not taken advantage of in desperate situations.

    WAR ATTITUDES: Amanda's worked for the military for a good part of her adult life, although not in a combat role She knows that some of her knowledge has been used in some capacity to (supposedly) defend humanity back home, so while it would be difficult for her to take any kind of active role she would only have a little hesitation in using her programming skills to help protect other worlds and people. However, she is definitely not a physical fighter and would certainly be better in a support role.

    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: While less difficult for her than it would have been before her time in Eudio, Amanda still has some difficulty becoming really close with people. Although teh baggage of her past disability is far lighter than it used to be, the fact she spent most of her life in academia (and was homeschooled for a good part of her childhood) means that she has difficulty connecting with people who don't have an immediate shared interest. She does, hower, want to connect and has made great strides in getting better at that during the year she spent in Eudio, becoming friends with people who are certainly not academics nor romantic interests. While being in will make her long more for the 'it's complicated' thing she has with Nicholas Rush back in her home universe as she worries for him, she is not adverse to being friends and possibly trying to flirt (horribly) with others.

    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Amanda's chief expertise is mathematics and engineering, and she's very good at repairing and modifying electronics and machinery. She's also, surprisingly, good at thinking about the problem at hand under pressure (shown by how well she handled needing to repair a fried FTL drive before the ship got stranded in the black, and still found time to flirt with her not-boyfriend). She once manned the defenses of a ship she had only been on for a few weeks, and past her present canon point would even fly that ship with only a few hours preparation, so she will learn any new technology pretty quickly.
    She's also very willing to teach anyone who wants to learn how to use technology that might be foreign to them, as she knows that anyone could prove to be a genius programmer (or whatever else they might want to be) given the chance. She's also a pretty good listener and tries not to judge others for how they might deal with the present trauma or any they might have experienced back home, given both her own past and how she saw her not-boyfriend become a pretty giant jerk after his wife died--she knows that trauma affects everyone differently, and that people need to have the space to work that out however it works for them, and she'd be more than willing to be a comfort, an adviser, or just a silent ear for anyone who needs to work through some stuff

    EXIT STRATEGY: In canon, when Blue is unable to get a hold of her mother after multiple attempts to call and check in (her mother's stipulations of going out while being grounded required that she do so every forty-five minutes.), she and Gansey abruptly leave a toga party at new friend Henry Cheng's pseudo-frat house. They return to Blue's house at 300 Fox Way and come upon their ghost friend Noah right in the midst of being possessed by something -- looking absolutely terrifying and doing some downright creepy, horror movie stuff. (Soon after in canon, they find out that this something is known as the Unmaker -- or, in this case, D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. presenting itself as the Unmaker -- The same thing that is poisoning Ronan's dreams, killing him, and unmaking his dream things.) Unfortunately, the unmaking doesn't stop with Noah and the entire world starts to come undone at the seams, black oozing like blood from literally everywhere, and Noah's ragged cry echoing inside of her head. Conjuring up every protective image her mother had taught her in her mind, Blue takes cover in the first thing that she sees: a portal -- which she thinks will lead her to somewhere familiar and safe. Preferably Cabeswater. Hopefully Cabeswater.

    Instead, it drops her directly into the ocean.
    MORALITY: There's almost nothing that Blue wouldn't do for the people she cares about -- her family and the friends that she considers just as close as her family. -- she'd give them the food off her plate, the shirt off her back, and be the first to stick by their side when the rest of the world has turned their back on them. She has a sense of right and wrong, and even for all her typical teenage rebellion (defying her mother, getting briefly expelled from school, almost-kissing boys who would die from it.) Blue still often opts to make the "good" or "right" decision. That isn't to say that what she feels is the "good" or "right" thing to do always is the right thing, and on more than on occasion she's ended up hurting someone dear to her in an attempt not to do so.
    WAR ATTITUDES: Blue is not a fighter by nature. She has argumentative streaks, no doubt, but she's not the type to go charging headfirst into battle, and would rather avoid confrontation than going to seek it out, if at all possible. She's not the type to sign up to go and fight, and instead Blue would be more interested in helping: rebuilding and strengthening the community, figuring out how to repair what's wrong with their world (if at all possible.), trying to make a change and actually doing so. Reconnaissance missions and exploring new places would interest her, as long as the danger is on the lower side. However, she isn't afraid to fight alongside her friends and loved ones, she's willing to make sacrifices for them because of how important they are to her -- Blue's bravery is formed from her fear, she's brave because she knows she is afraid.
    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Blue and intimate relationships have a very.... rocky history with one another. She's been told all of her life that she's doomed to kill her true love the moment that she kisses him and has spent a good portion of her adolescence and teenage years trying to avoid intimacy altogether. She doesn't do boyfriends, she doesn't go on dates, she doesn't have much of a care for the boys that are her age at her school. She's considered very eccentric and a little weird by most students at her school (and while eccentricity has the ability to make her popular, likable and "cool" with her peers, Blue shows very little interest in them.), and has been since she started her formal education. But, all that aside, Blue has a very big heart. She's overflowing with love, comes from a small blue house that's overflowing with love, and has so much of it to give. Her friends are her family and she's unabashedly loyal to them. She's a little abrasive at first, a little stand-offish and a little difficult to open up, but once she does, she gives everything to the people that she cares about and those that she considers important to her.
    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Blue has a natural wanderlust, she wants to explore the world. She wants to see what is out there waiting for her and she wants to experience all there is to experience. Back in Henrietta, there seemed to be very little chance of that ever happening -- her options for traveling the world after graduation are thwarted by her income. -- and she'd be forced to settle with the adventures of one summer spent exploring the ley line that had only taken her as far as the outskirts of her hometown. With this new world at her fingertips -- or quite literally, under her feet -- she'd be anxious to explore all that it has to offer and discover it's secrets. It's a world that both looks similar to her own, but also completely different, and for all the hidden magic that she knows exists in her own world, she'd actively seek out whatever magic exists in this new one. Blue isn't a person who has magic flowing through her -- she doesn't possess the psychic abilities of her mother and aunts, she doesn't have the connection to Cabeswater like Adam, or the ability to pull from her dreams like Ronan, or the commanding intention of Gansey. She merely amplifies it all. -- and thus has a burning desire to see it with her own eyes. To know that it truly exists even if she doesn't have any of her own.

Through his favorite musicians, Brian Slade and Curt Wild (loosely based on David Bowie and Iggy Pop, respectively), he discovers his own homosexuality, which gets him physically assaulted and kicked out of the house by his father; his mother says nothing to stop it, but is seen waving goodbye to him as he takes a bus from his hometown of Manchester to London, the epicenter of the much more permissive glam scene. Arthur befriends and becomes flatmates with a glam band called The Flaming Creatures, based on The New York Dolls, and quickly becomes close with them.

    • 1974: Arthur and The Creatures are in audience when Brian Slade enacts his infamous hoax. This is how the film's opening credits roll: an excited pre-concert montage, the joyous audience thrown into chaos at the sound of gunshots before the intro of the first song has finished. This is the end of the glam rock scene, but it's the anachronistic beginning of the story, which largely told via interviews from ten years in the future, conducted by an adult and much less glittery Arthur.

    • 1975: Curt Wild, Brian's ex-lover and the reason for his death hoax, holds one last concert: the Death of Glitter. The Flaming Creatures open for him, and after a poignant, raw and painful tribute to Brian, Arthur, dressed as Brian's stage persona, catches his eye. They meet on the roof of the afterparty and have sex under the stars, hanging out until well into the early morning, talking and laughing and sharing beers.

    • 1984: Although we're never told what happens between '75 and '84, Arthur's present incarnation is understated and conservative, a world away from his younger, wilder self. As an investigative journalist and apparent fan of "old-time rock and roll", Arthur is picked by his boss at the New York Herald to do a piece on the Slade assassination hoax for its ten-year anniversary, which eventually puts him back in Curt's orbit. Curt gives Arthur a brooch he received from Brian, which Arthur refuses; Curt slips the brooch in Arthur's beer and leaves with a promise to "see [him] around". The film closes with him taking a swig of beer and nearly choking on the brooch, laughing when he realizes what he's spit in his hand.


    EUDIO
    • Arthur comes into the city of Eudio immediately after the Death of Glitter concert, and for his incentive he requested to cross paths with Curt again. He is unaware that this is already in his cards. At this canonpoint, he's shy, but more emotive and open to intimacy; as an adult, he becomes almost reclusive, but as a twenty-ish very recent groupie, he hasn't yet had whatever experience closed him off to others.

    • He's still rather awkward, though, and the only real friendship he's made so far is with Amanda Perry. They initially bonded over mutual discomfort with crowds, and found over time that they share a dreamy, quiet way of observing the world. They also share some tastes in music, and have a similar communication style.

      EXIT STRATEGY: Arthur is coming along with the rest of the Eudio denizens, through a portal that shows up in his apartment. He didn’t get a chance to realize his incentive, and the eponymous death of glitter is weighing heavily on him, which gives him little to look forward to. He’s a bit of a romantic at heart and desires something bigger than what’s back home. Even before he actually becomes a reporter, he has a journalist’s instinct for leads, which he follows with an intense, almost obsessive focus; he hasn't honed this skill yet, but he will get a sense there's something more to uncover, and quickly pack everything he can fit into his suitcase before following the scent.
      MORALITY: Arthur is painfully shy, to the point where he doesn’t think of himself as the sort of person to stand up and fight for something, but when it comes down to it, he is much more idealistic than he realizes. He doesn’t talk about his morality--he rarely talks about himself at all, except in recollections through narrative that are mostly his observations on others--but he seems to put a lot of weight in sincerity and personal integrity. Liars, cheats, and bigots don’t sit well with him.
      WAR ATTITUDES: He’d prefer to stay in the city--he’s somewhat rangy and waifish, and not really cut out for physical fighting. He will likely seek information, and will spend considerable energy verifying it and making sure it’s accurate before disseminating it, whether through an official paper or on his own. He communicates most effectively via writing, and will try to use that to inspire and inform the population without having to talk to anyone directly.
      INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Arthur is taciturn and quiet to the point where he’s nearly silent, and doesn’t make friends easily. When he does, though, he is intensely invested in them, quickly becoming wrapped up in them and their lives.

      He is also gay, and grew up in a home where it was treated as something filthy and shameful, if it was talked about at all, which has given him some hangups. His family, especially his father, seems distant and detached and even sometimes scornful; Arthur, while quiet and private, can also be a hopeless and somewhat flamboyant romantic, and threw himself into the solace and freedom he found in the glam rock scene.

      Over his years rooming with The Creatures, he blossoms under the freedom and belonging, and becomes more and more comfortable with his own sexuality and expression. He’s still his shy, quiet self, but he enjoys being a flashy part of a flashy crowd, and his repressed upbringing has made him skin-hungry. He’s nervous and reluctant to make the first move, partly because of his shyness and difficult home life, but he’s eager to please and still basking in the glow of being able to be open about his sexuality.
      COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: As I previously touched on in the attitudes section, Arthur’s primary contribution will be through his words. He will likely start with things like music reviews and listening to others’ stories, but may eventually begin to start digging around the circumstances of the world, and may even become a war correspondent.

      He will also be interested in the lives of his few friends and acquaintances from Eudio, since they share a displacement story, and at least one of them has earned his intense loyalty.

    BACKGROUND:
    -Vanyel is a war orphan, raised by a priestess at the Great Chapel of Dibella in Anvil, Cyrodiil; as far as he's concerned, said priestess is his mother in all the ways that matter
    -He apprenticed with a mage from the local Guild, and at age 16 was sponsored for entry into the College of Whispers in Cyrodiil's capital; after just a year or two, he left the College and spent the next few years traveling the continent, learning from the local mages and picking up new skills like alchemy and archery
    -This is also when he first heard about the College of Winterhold in Skyrim, a magic school not unlike the university he'd left, and his curiosity was piqued
    -At age 25, he attempted to cross the border into Skyrim, but got lost in the mountains and stumbled into a Stormcloak camp just in time to be caught up in an Imperial ambush; in the confusion, he was arrested and transported to Helgen along with several Stormcloak officers and Ulfric Stormcloak himself
    -His would-be execution at Helgen was interrupted by a dragon attack; in the confusion, he escaped with a sympathetic legionnaire named Hadvar, who helped him find weapons and armor in the Keep and then make for the nearby town of Riverwood
    -He learned shortly afterward that he was the Dragonborn, destined to defeat Alduin the World-Eater and avert The End Of The World As We Know It, and set about doing just that.
    -Along the way, he joined the College of Winterhold and eventually became its Arch-Mage, and later joined an order of vampire hunters and helped them defeat a mad vampire lord who was plotting to blot out the sun
    -In the process of defeating Alduin, he engineered a ceasefire between the Stormcloaks and Imperial forces, and after his final flight with the World-Eater accepted a contract from the Eudio reps to ensure that the 'temporary ceasefire' gave way to a lasting peace, and ended up staying in their city for nearly two years
    -During this time he studied the magic systems and styles of other worlds, looking for things he could adapt for use in his own, made plenty of friends, and even fell in love; but even with all that, he couldn't help but feel a bit restless, staying in a single city and it's immediate environs
    -So, after two years, with his incentive earned and the volunteer citizen program coming to an end anyway, he planned to head back to check on the people he'd left behind and resolve his unfinished business with the Miraak cultists (bringing the aforementioned lover, Rosalina Nurumi, home with him) - only for the attack by D.E.S.T.I.N.Y to happen
    -A malfunction in Eudio's portal tech saw him landing on Tamriel alone,
    alone to find it, too, was falling apart under the influence of D.E.S.T.I.N.Y; he had just enough time to retrieve and Elder Scroll and use it to at least try and open a new Time-Wound, which he planned to flee through with his family (Erandur, Serana, Lydia, Lucia,

    -Unfortunately, he only had time to heard Erandur and Serana through before it began to close, and lost his hold on even them once inside

    POWERS: In a word, magic. In more detail:
    Standard Tamriel-style battle magic, which includes
    -slinging around fire, lightning, and ice (though he's much better with fire than either of the other two)
    -summoning up minor daedra (essentially low-level demons) to assist him in battle

    EXIT STRATEGY: Tried to emulate certain ancient Nord heroes and open a 'wound' in space-time with an Elder Scroll, possibly only managed because the universe was already unravelling; he'll have tried to bring at least two people (Erandur and Serana) with him, and being separated from them will give him even more motivation to do whatever he can to set his world to rights - especially if that means saving them
    MORALITY: If it comes down to the rules/law vs. doing what he feels is right, he'll ignore the former without a second thought, and there's very little he wouldn't do to keep 'his' people safe and happy, but he does have limits. He tries to solve problems peacefully if at all possible, only fighting in self-defense or defense of his friends.
    WAR ATTITUDES: Vanyel would insist that he's a lover, not a fighter - but that's never stopped him from taking on god-dragons and vampire lords and everything in between, and refusing to give up no matter how heavily the odds seem to be stacked against him. He'll be more than willing to take D.E.S.T.I.N.Y on, too, just like he did Alduin and Harkon.
    But he also has a habit of putting down roots without really meaning to - he did it in Skyrim, he did it in Eudio, and he'll more than likely do it here as well.
    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: He's a very sociable, out-going sort, so friendship is definitely on the table! As are sexual encounters - he was raised by devotees of a sex goddess, whose sole command to her followers can be very easily interpreted as "go forth and bone," and he tries his best to obey that.
    Genuine romance would be much slower-burn, and given that his lady love from Eudio is also here and he's not going to want to break things off with her, the end result would be an open relationship.
    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: He would definitely want to set his world right, so would absolutely sign up for any and all missions that could help with that. Exploration would be on the list as well - he's an intensely curious person, and given a whole new world to explore and learn about, won't be able to resist. He'd also be more than willing to teach others (magic, alchemy, fighting or some combination of) and enchant things for people.

    Shane grew up the son of a disgraced viking near the end of the Viking era. Following the death of his father, Shane sought out more of his family. He found a brother in a nearby tribe, with a father dying like his had done before. So the pair sought a witch out, and upon finding her the witch revealed to them the true nature of their being. They were the sons of a faerie queen, and it was her magic that had killed their fathers. Losing his father, Eran turned his attentions back to the Door, and Shane aided him in conquering the nearby land and establishing a post. The victory was long fought for, but not so easily won. Instead, a truce was reached with the local vampires. They would leave Eran and his kind alone, but the Door remained theirs. Eran agreed to this uneasy truce and married his witch while Shane sought to start his own life. Before he could, a vampire attacked him while alone one night. Only one halfling was needed by the vampires. Knowing the way to permanently kill a halfling, the vampire ripped out Shane's heart, leaving him with a scar he'd bear through every life.

    The only reason Shane survived was through the aid of another halfling. Though this halfling was not half fae and half human, but half fae and half demon. Merlin, born to be an agent of chaos but instead an observer of the world until one day Arthur lived again. Merlin saved Shane through his own magic, and through Shane's many lives he raised the boy as his own son. Shane learned to stay far from Eran, or any loved ones, from that day forward. Instead he took up Merlin's path, becoming an observer more inclined to protect neutrality than fight for any side.

    An event Shane meant to observe was the choosing of the new vampire princes among two sister vampire covens. While observing the one in Italy, Shane noticed a boy leaving the castle where no others were allowed to leave while the choosing occurred. He followed Rafa nightly to a club where he indulged in vices Shane knew the vampire king wouldn't approve of. Despite his better judgment, Shane met Rafa under the name of Alex in that life. The two quietly fell in love in dark corners. Shane promised to one day take Rafa away from this world, but that day never came. Rafa's father had Shane brought before him. He gave him his life but only if he left and never returned. Otherwise, he would force Rafa to be the one to kill him himself. Not so careful with his own life, Shane could never do that to Rafa. So he left to travel once again, observing the world and other creatures far removed from the war of vampires and fae.

    Centuries later, Shane returned to his old home with the Door opening again and reunited with Eran and Rafa once again. He confessed to who he was, and Rafa still wanted him as he had then. The two had only just begun their lives when the Door opened fully and hell broke loose. During the resulting war, Eran and Jocelyn managed to close the door again, but Shane was captured and another halfling's heart was torn out, his sister in spirit Atropa.

    In fae, Shane managed to escape the dark queen Belladonna, but only just barely. Believing him a pacifist, few expected him to take up arms again. Maybe he wouldn't have if he hadn't found love in Rafa again, but his goal became entirely about saving the still beating heart of Atropa and returning to Earth. Fearing that dying in fae would be a permanent death, and not wanting to become fae himself, every fifty years or so in fae Shane had his mother, the light queen Orlaith, remake his body again. A painful process that mentally wrecked Shane through his time in fae, which was nearly double the time there as it was on Earth.

    Yet finally the Door cracked once again. Seeing his chance, Shane managed to steal the heart of Atropa and channel the power still within it to crack the Door enough for him to escape ahead of Belladonna's forces. He destroyed Atropa's heart in the human world, giving Atropa the chance to be reborn on Earth as all halflings are. He reunited with Rafa again, taking less of a neutral stance in the war finally. Though always seeking the most peaceful options, Shane aided his husband in finding resolution between the faeries and vampires. And when Atropa and Nikolai found a way to make halflings into hybrid vampires, he easily took the opportunity to never die again and put Rafa through even a moment without him again.

    POWERS:
    Vampire - Shane is more like 75% faerie and 25% vampire due to the way vampires in this world were made ( through faerie and demon magic ). He still needs to breath, eat, and sleep, just in less quantities. He does not have any sensitivity to the sun, however, due to his own Faerie nature, though other vampire weaknesses ( holy objects, fire, stakes, invitation, and garlic ) affect him to lesser degrees than a normal vampire. What he does have due to being a vampire, he has in reduction:
    - Enhanced Senses : sight, hearing, and scent greater than a normal humans but less than a vampire's
    - Immortality : He can't die, but he can get sick. He's not quite as durable as vampires, but he will heal. He also has the ability to have children, but cannot make other vampires.
    - Strength + Speed : He can go faster than a normal human, but only just. He can lift a car, but only one car really.
    - Blood : His doesn't make people obey, it drives them to madness and insanity and can make a man die wanting it. He's very wary of this, as it's a combination of his fae and vampiric nature. In reverse, he tends to struggle with bloodlust when he does feed on others.

    Faerie - He's a light faerie, meaning his magic is light/life related. He can do the following:
    Healing : His magic can heal any kind of wound, but it cannot regenerate lost limbs, only close the wound safely. He can cure a common cold, anything more he can only ease symptoms one day at a time.
    Growing Plants : The most he can do is urge plants to grow more quickly. He definitely can't sprout a forest over night, but he urge can a bush to sprout flowers or grow at an accelerated rate.
    Light Manipulation : He can use light to just light the way, or he can use it to create barriers and weapons as long as he focuses hard enough.

    In-Universe:

    EXIT STRATEGY: D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. came when the demons broke through their Door, something that had never happened before. Yet they came pouring into Earth, wrecking and destroying the world beyond any saving. They foretold of the coming apocalypse that was destroying their world and come for Earth next. So Shane, with the aid of the coven of witches in Prague, attempted to open a portal to any other world that would protect them. He watched his family and loved ones go through first. Yet when he stepped through, he found himself alone.
    MORALITY: Despite his "neutral" stance in life, Shane tends to lean more towards doing good than others. He loathes having to twist his morality to any shade of grey, and he'll always try to find a way to avoid doing so. Sometimes this means letting others do things and keeping his mouth shut. He tries to weigh the good against the bad for the best possible neutral outcome, but it's not always so black and white. He's not easy to bend, but if reason and logic dictate it he will do what he must.
    WAR ATTITUDES: Ever the pacifist, Shane really tries to keep his nose out of war dealings. However, his family has put him more in the middle of wars than he ever wanted to be. He did his best to remain apart from it all, but he just ended up dragged into it again. So he tries to support where he can and stay out of the actual fighting. He also does his best to try to advise for more peaceful routes, though he knows it rarely wins out. War is war, he's seen plenty of it to know the truth of it.
    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Shane loves people. He loves to learn their stories, learn about their cultures, and just learn all about them. The problem is, he tends to have problems opening himself up to others. He's lived his life as an outsider to try to protect people he loves. He's not opposed to it, he has a family and growing circle of others after all, it just takes him more time to learn to open himself better to others. As for romantic inclinations, he's very devoted to his husband, Rafa. He's never slept with another person since he and Rafa reunited, and has no intentions to do so despite everyone else in his family tending to be more polyamorous. He doesn't judge the others for their choice, though, his monogamy is his personal choice.
    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Despite not being his world, Shane can't help his need to assist others. So he'll likely lend it where healing is concerned ( this place needs no help with growing things after all ), but he has the ability to fight and hunt as needed as well.

    EUDIO CRAU
    • Learned how to make friends and made friendships he found worthwhile and long lasting (enough to invite them to visit him when he left Eudio)
    • Had a number of short-term sexual encounters and was much more open about sexual relationships
    • Opened up emotionally to other individuals, and not just Kirk. Was able to discuss the death of his mother with others, the loss of his planet, and came to realize that he was not alone in the hybrid status. This made a positive impact on him, as it allowed him to understand that he was not alone in the universe.



    POWERS:

    • Strength - Spock is roughly three times stronger than the average human, which translates to being able to lift more and having a firmer grip with more power behind it, though he's normally very careful to keep control of his strength and not intentionally hurt anyone. He's also capable of delivering a Vulcan nerve pinch, which can render someone unconscious for anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.

    • Keen Senses - Vulcans are known to have better hearing and eyesight than humans, having adapted to live in harsh desert environments where sight and hearing were extremely important. They have a third eyelid, much like a cat, to protect their eyes from the sun.

    • Telepathy - Spock is a touch-telepath, able to sense people's thoughts when he touches them and also able to project his own thoughts to others when touching. He almost never uses it and has adequate mental shields to prevent accidental spill-over or invading the mental privacy of others, but it plays a big role in why he prefers not to touch people. He's able to perform mind melds, which links two minds (or more) together and can communicate or retrieve information from the meld.

      In-Universe:

      EXIT STRATEGY: The Agents appeared as a thousand ships, attacking the Enterprise, swarming it likes bees, and effectively destroying the ship Spock considered home. It didn't stop there - the majority of the crew landed on Altamid, where the destruction continued, creeping over the planet and all of the universe. Spock, separated from the majority of his friends, ended up finding his way through a portal to Xistentia; it showed up as an entrance to a cave that he stumbled into when trying to hide from the ships; Jim ([personal profile] caelus) also managed to find his way through a portal, although Spock did not know that right away.
      MORALITY: Spock is simple: Logic is his mortality - the needs of the many, obeying orders, doing what is right and just. Except Spock is also loyal to a fault and is quite capable of bending and stretching logic when it suits him, which is frequently. He does have strong feelings against killing, is a vegetarian, and will always seek a harmonious path, but he understands that sometimes death is necessary. (He will absolutely not tolerate or forgive those who blow up planets/are crazy about revenge.)
      WAR ATTITUDES: Spock will be a combination of both. He thrives on excitement, no matter what else he might say, and needs the exploration/adventure of missions. He doesn't enjoy fighting, but it's necessary at times and he can fight (especially if he only has to maim and not kill). He also places a high emphasis on building and community development, as his people suffered from a devastating loss and he did want to help them in whatever way he could. So he'll spend equal time on both. Also, Spock is not a natural leader, but he is the first officer of the Enterprise and has had to lead missions plenty of times, so he's capable when he needs to be of organizing and leading mission.
      INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Spock is a Vulcan and they are inherently private, not given to intimate relationships and certainly not the type to indulge in affection, but Vulcans love very deeply. Spock is also half-human and is quite capable of having a fulfilling emotional and sexual relationship when he desires. In addition, his year in Eudio taught him that emotional connections, friendships, and intimate relationships with people were beneficial - and if nothing else, showed he was capable of human contact when necessary if he had to accomplish a goal.
      COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Spock is a trained scientist, exceedingly intelligent, well-versed in survival mechanics, and capable of cobbling together electronics. He has studied computer science, ethics, linguistics, botany, geology, physics, astrophysics, history, literature - and probably a few dozen other fields. He's used to analyzing data and information and providing answers when needed. He comes from a world where his own planet was destroyed, so he is familiar with setting up new colonies and in unafraid of hard work and physical toil. He will assist wherever is needed - from repairing walls and digging wells for water to planting crops to analyzing the network that exists in Xistenia and trying to determine errors in the system. His contributions might be impersonal, especially at first, but he is wiling to do all that is necessary.

    With Andrew's CRAU, he'll be coming in directly where he left off in Eudio. Over the course of a few months he's managed to fit himself romantically alongside Axel Johnson, the two becoming quite an inseparable pair over time. While in Eudio, Andrew was made to keep up routine visits to a therapist to manage him coming off his medication, so he's relatively stable after the time he's spent there. Altogether, the difference between Eudio Andrew and the Andrew from the books, is that he's managed to care a bit about himself, if you tilt your head and squint at the facts. He hasn't hurt himself lately, he hasn't tried to kill himself. Being in a violence-free environment has managed to mellow him out some, domesticate him a bit.

    That said, he's still Andrew. On the front of where his priorities lay and that which drives him ( the promises he makes ), very little has changed. He's a character who moves forward in centimeter increments, so he isn't very different from who he used to be.

    POWERS: skilled with a knife. otherwise human.
    STARTING EQUIPMENT: Mulder ( listed with Axel ), his daemon Phoned which is a gray flip burner phone, a few packs of cigarettes, some bags of cracker dust ( canon drug ). Andrew's regular outfit consists of black clothes, with a long sleeved shirt hiding two black arm bands that extend from his wrist to his elbow on either side. Under that are some number of knives tucked away in case of a fight.

    In-Universe:

    EXIT STRATEGY: Andrew is arriving with Axel Johnson. When the D.E.S.T.I.N.Y virus began to manifest in Eudio, they figured out that maybe a way out could be had via the city's volunteer intake technology, and made their escape through the portal.

    MORALITY: Andrew's morality is a bit difficult to define -- he is not a ruthless person, but he isn't kind or gentle, either. Gray is a good way to describe all things that become him, his morals included. His hard 'I would never' would definitely have to relate back to his issues with consent, but even that much you have to earn from him, once he trusts someone not to hurt those he's close with. There's a trial period with Andrew, but if you aren't evil, you'll pass. He is a good person who doesn't mind doing bad things to get a better end result, due to the fact that Andrew doesn't believe he's a good person at all. He would do literally anything for the people he cares about, but it isn't a very hopeful or emotional connection. Instead, it's possessive, where he considers the people he protects to be part of his property and the morals he instills to protect them are simply getting people to stop touching his things.

    WAR ATTITUDES: Andrew is not keen on the idea of staying in this place, which means he won't be looking to settle down anytime soon. Although he won't be the leader of any missions or fighting, he'll likely consider tagging along, if it might means he'll leave this place. If not, he's more likely to stay largely uninvolved, likely helping Axel out with his restoration methods. Ultimately, I think he will inevitably settle here, a bit, despite his initial loathing.

    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: All of this is a fairly moot point, because Andrew is not interested in any shipping or intimacy, provided that he is here with his romantic partner, Axel. He would not consider himself available emotionally to anyone else, and generally acts this way in response to friendship and casual acquaintances, too.

    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Andrew isn't a very community-orientated person, but I could see him training people to fight and learning how to further his skills, too. He also has this habit in canon of trying ( and succeeding ) at fixing all he teammates' problems, generally by being a giant asshole.

    BACKGROUND:
    Rose was born to the beta of a prestigious pack of okuri inu in the Hida mountains. It didn't take long before it was discovered that she was a 'defective' child. She was a square peg trying to fit into a round hole. While the girl had an aptitude for fighting and survival, she was weak in other ways that were unacceptable. The first time her father killed an elderly human that tripped on a mountain pass, she cried for him. No one had ever heard or seen a wolf with such empathy for people. It drove her mother to suicide and her father to kill her, claiming she should have been the one to die. Her pack alpha stopped her father and told her to run in a moment of mercy. She did and never looked back.

    For nearly two hundred years, she roamed the Makai alone searching for a home she'd never known and likely wouldn't find. One day, a proposal was made to Rose in the form of an offer to live in the Ningenkai - the human realm - for no price. It was a deal too good be true but she took it anyway. As one might have imagined, it was a trap. She was enslaved in a to the death fighting ring for supernatural creatures like her for years. With her natural skill in battle and two hundred years in a fight for your life world of demons, she quickly became a champion: The Black Rose.

    Her only solace was a friend in the man caged next to her named Ren Kazuki. He was a Japanese werwolf who had been the lead singer of a band before being captured. Through him, she gained a love of music that helped see her through the darkest times in the ring. Eventually, she was slated for a breeding program to bring rise to the next generation of champion fighters. Rose resigned herself to this fate but Ren wouldn't allow it. He plotted and escape, executed it, and lost his life in the process of making sure that Rose escaped. She took the lives of everyone on her way out in a fit of rage and grief.

    Ren had instructed her before he passed to find a friend of his. The elderly witch gave Rose a handful of gifts: Ren's guitar, a glamour, and the news that she was a wanted woman all across Japan's underground demon hunting population. She fled the country and arrived in America in 1988. It was still the height of Rock 'n' Roll and finding a job as a roadie was easy. It killed two birds with one stone; she could continue her love of music and live a life on the road to keep on the run from hunters perusing her. So she set out without a second thought.

    After a few years, Rose thought maybe the search for her had gone cold. The year was 1999 and everything in life was going pretty fine. A new millennium was approaching and the world felt like it was turning over a new leaf. Maybe, Rose thought she could finally settle down. So she stayed in a sleepy town in Georgia for just a little over three months. She learned the hard way in the form of a woman named Roxanne that coming to a standstill wasn't an option. Roxanne was a rocker roadie just like Rose. She had huge dreams of being one of the biggest stars on stage in the 2000s. When she tried to take said stage with Rose as her guitarist, she was rewarded with a bullet between the eyes by a hunter that had gotten wind of the wolf woman in his city. Just as she had time and time again, Rose fled.

    The next time Rose stopped running after Roxanne was 2018. It was the first time in three hundred years that she had met another yokai like her. He was a neko - a cat - by the alias of Charlie. Rose had never gotten to know his real name for he joked that after eight lives he hardly remembered who he was anymore. She'd come to learn in time he wasn't exactly like her. Instead of wanting to just live among humans, he desired to hurt them in a different way. He too was an escapee one of the fighting rings scattered across the world. He wanted the people that ran them to suffer the same way he and Rose had, to swing the pendulum the other way and have humans get a taste of the pain they'd inflicted on their kind. His fiery rage was stomped out by a bullet through his heart and his ninth life coming to an anticlimactic end. In the same breath an attempt on Rose's life was made.

    She was actually certain she had died until a representative from a world called Eudio approached her. They gave her the promise of anything she wanted. 'To live,' was all Rose requested. It was done. She was given a second chance. The price, however, was a bit steeper than she had anticipated. To have an entire life built on being flighty and unable to make long-term connections, Eudio's intimacy requirement was a daunting thing. Thankfully, she had people to help her along the way like Magnus Bane and Vanyel Greyjoy that allowed her see intimacy and all that comes with it doesn't have to end in such terrible, tragic ways. That maybe she can have the simple, quiet life she's always dreamed of. She really hopes they're right.

    POWERS:
    • Superhuman strength. Though she appears "petite" demon strength often defies appearances. She's about as strong as three adult human men combined.

    • Super speed and agility. Rose's speed is above average for even her kind. At her fastest, she can appear as a blur to the human eye, which is a feat impressive to even some yōkai.

    • Small control over ice. Being an okami from the Northern Clan of the Makai and living in a harsh, frigid environment they all have some ability to manipulate ice. It's very small and is about the equivalent of using an ice pack; she can freeze things if she really concentrates but it's still difficult for her.

    • Heightened Senses Being part animal, Rose is able to hear, smell, and see better than the average person.

    • Night Vision Able to see well in low light conditions.

    • Hand-to-Hand Combat As a fighter, her strength was hand-to-hand combat. Rose is well versed in Aikido and Muay Thai, specifically.

    • Weapon Proficiency Both blades and firearms proficient. Prefers short-range when using firearms. She is most comfortable with short blades.

    • Musically Inclined She is able to sing (mezzo-soprano range), play guitar and piano, learn instruments at a quick rate, and can carry a tune in a bucket to save her life.


    STARTING EQUIPMENT:
    • Apollod (Daemon). A year old Golden Retriever turned supercomputer. The first dog she acquired in Eudio is now her daemon though he seems to have (mostly) retained his excitable, friendly nature.

    • Acoustic Guitar A regular 'ol guitar in a black pleather case. On the inside are taped three pictures from home of various people.

    • Eight Seven Dogs + A Cat A Growlithe, two Leonbergers, three Huskies, and one Akita. Plus, Charlie the Somali.

      In-Universe:

      EXIT STRATEGY: Everything in Eudio was going great, until it wasn't. It started, at first, with a subtle 'glitch in the system.' Then it became more obvious something behind the scenes was wrong. Before they knew it, the representatives were evacuating everyone as fast as they could as the world around them began to fall apart at the seams. Rose was supposed to flee to Tamriel with Vanyel Greyjoy using the LINKS system, but for whatever reason the portal didn't take her there. Instead, it dropped her in Xistentia. How rude of it. At least it let her keep her dogs.
      MORALITY: Rose is the epitome of chaotic good. Freedom and rights for all species is an extremely important driving force for her and she'll do anything to obtain this. She does everything that she does for what she believes to be this 'better' cause. The methods in which she goes about it all, however, can often times be a bit outside the realm of truly good though. For example, she believes murder is wrong... unless the person was without a shadow of a doubt deserving of it and the world is likely better off for their death. She also tends to forego traditional law-governing systems and take as much weight as possible on her own shoulders and vigilante her way through things. It's worked out so far. Mostly.
      WAR ATTITUDES: Despite her leaning more towards peaceful resolutions and pacifism, Rose is not wholly opposed to have to fight when it's deemed necessary. If there is a threat to the safety of the people she loves and cares for she will absolutely fight to protect them. It's because of this that as long as she sees it as helping everyone she will definitely take part in missions and fighting should the need arise. In the down time, however, she will be happy to help with community building in the literal and figurative sense. Her strength Karaoke or open mic night at her house, anyone?
      INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Having spent a year in Eudio, Rose has come a long way in the intimate connections that she makes with others. Though she has some issues to resolve regarding romantic feelings, she is very open now to physical intimacy and closeness with people in that way. In fact, she might even be a little too into it. However, Eudio taught her the importance of boundaries. Plus, she had bad experiences in the past with having little to no control in situations so it's doubtful that she'd ever cross any set lines with people. Her interest lays is in cultivating positive relationships even if she has been known to butt heads with people occasionally over philosophical and moral differences.
      COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: Having spent many years in isolation in the Makai, Rose is aware that the particular skillset she gained during is going to be especially useful for hunting/gathering in Xistentia. She will likely try to take on a mentor role for others in ways of living off of and in tune with the land. It isn't the first time she has been a teacher (she worked at the Wolf's Den in Eudio, instructing in fighting practices) so she has experience with it and will do her best to at least have people versed in basic survival skills. How to make fire, what will and won't kill you if you try to eat it, etc.

      Additionally, she will gladly go out for any exploratory missions whenever they are available. When you look up the word 'adventurous' in the dictionary, it is very possible that a picture of Hanako Rosalina Nurumi will be attached next to it. She lived a very nomadic life for some thirty years before Eudio. While it was a lifestyle originally born of necessity for her own safety, she grew to love life on the road. It was exciting to seek out new places, meet new people, and experience new cultures. So, it's very likely that in Xistentia she will go back to her roaming ways and be very interested in exploring and potentially mapping the place they've found themselves in.

    BACKGROUND:
    Here is a wiki link for her canon stuff. As for her CRAU stuff:

    Katniss's incentive for going to Eudio was to save Prim and Finnick from death, as well as to ensure the safety of the rest of the people who matter to her (Peeta, her mother, Gale, Johanna, etc). She has been in the city at this point for eight or so months and in that time has started to make connections with people, many of whom are going to be showing up in Xistentia as well. She has slowly started to become a little more comfortable with intimacy with people she's not super close to (mainly holding hands) and has become marginally more comfortable with asking for help regarding her incentive, although that is largely because of her desire to save/protect people.

    To be frank, her time in Eudio hasn't been terribly character changing, partly due to how short of a time it has been for her and partly because of the peacefulness of the city. Having some people here in Xistentia that she knows from Eudio will mainly help her deal in this new and not quite as friendly environment, especially as she continues to deal with the ramifications of being from Panem.

    POWERS:
    SURVIVAL → Due to years of mastering the bow and arrow as well as learning trapping and fishing skills from her best friend Gale, Katniss is a very skilled hunter. She is also well versed in edible, medicinal, and poisonous plant life of her home district in Panem, District 12. Additionally, Katniss is a skilled tree climber, which has helped her survive in the past as well.

    SINGING → Much like her father, Katniss has a voice that quiets birds and encourages them to pick up the tune.

    STARTING EQUIPMENT:
    1. A moss-covered brown bear, similar in looks to the green-backed bison EXCEPT IT'S A BROWN BEAR. Its name will be Cinnad.
    2. The clothes on her back.
    3. Her mockingjay pin, which had gone to Eudio with her and she would wear on the daily.

    In-Universe:

    EXIT STRATEGY: Katniss was not with/did not leave with anyone in particular when Eudio started collapsing, but did witness the physical destruction (ala natural disaster-type events, like earthquakes) that many of the Eudio CRAU folks witnessed. She opted to leave via portal, expecting to end up back in Panem.
    MORALITY: Due to a hard life in Panem and being forced into the Hunger Games twice, plus ending up the leader of the rebellion/war against the Capitol, there is very little Katniss would not do to save her own life/the lives of those she cares deeply for. That said, she does not actively take any sort of enjoyment in deceiving people or causing them harm, emotionally or physically, and will do what she can to avoid that if she sees another potential option. As has been seen in the end of her first Games and in her desire to keep Peeta alive in the Quarter Quell at the guarantee of her own death, Katniss is willing to sacrifice herself if it means protecting someone she loves.
    WAR ATTITUDES: War is not something that Katniss had ever planned on being a part of, nor something she ever imagined wanting to be a part of. But if the situation requires her to fight and she feels the end result/goal is a worthy cause, she will take up arms and fight until either she dies, the goal is achieved, or something about the playing field changes. So Katniss will definitely be interested in missions and fighting, so long as she doesn't see it as pointless bloodshed. Otherwise she will stay in the city/city limits to help rebuild.
    INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Katniss struggles a lot with intimate relationships, even if they're just friendly, because she's a grumpy, antagonistic brat that doesn't know how to charm people. That said, she cherishes the friendships/relationships she has and actively tries to strengthen them. She's also coming in from Eudio where she was trying her hardest to get past her shortcomings, which she will continue fighting against in Xistentia. Especially if that's what will help better the city.
    COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: A brief list of things Katniss would willingly offer to do, and even be pretty damn good at: archery lessons (she was doing that in Eudio), hunting/trapping for food (and teaching others how to do it as well), exploration (she loves the forest), and taking up arms when necessary/she feels it necessary. She's also used to living in a rather desolate world with scavenging and hunting being the main source of food supply, so she'll be pretty comfortable helping get food for the others, although the animals and plants of Xistentia are different than back home.

He arrived on Xistentia after his pod crashed on what he had thought would be Altamid, with what was left of his crew. He didn't know that Spock had made it there as well, at least not immediately.
    MORALITY: Jim's morality is fairly black and white, but does not shun the grey. He will do what is right, and also what he thinks is right. Lead by his heart, and the knowledge that if some things don't change, then we'll only continue following down the same roads that lead to destruction before.
    WAR ATTITUDES: Jim would prefer to negotiate rather than have all out war. That being said he will fight to protect that and those which he cares for if he has no other choice, and he will do so fiercely.

    FFXIV Timeline (relevant from Year 5 to The Gears of Change)

    It was during the Battle of Cartenaeu that her old story and and her new began. She had been a Twelvesblade under contract by the Archons, and her duty had been to protect Louisoix Leveilleur as he summoned The Twelve in order to bind the raging Primal, Bahamut.

    When both ally and enemy burned in the fires of Bahamut's wrath, leaving her one of the few sole survivors alongside her Twelvesblade companions, Louisoix invoked the power of Althyk the Keeper, god of space and time, to teleport them into an aetherial rift. The aetherial rift kept her untouched by time until it was safe to once again emerge in Eorzea, yet the trip took its toll - it had taken the memories of her past both from her and from those who knew her.

    Five years later, the Warrior of Light awoke inside of the aetherial rift to the faint whispers of The Mothercrystal, Hydaelyn.

    Hear, think, feel.

    She awoke once more - this time in the scorching heat of the outskirts of Ul'dah - lost and confused. By happenstance she stumbled across a carriage on its way to the city and was able to gain passage, meeting an old peddler named Brendt, and a pair of dozing young Elezen twins. It was Brendt who, upon learning of her amnesia, gave her her new name: Era Ra.

    Without a gil to her new name, Era had been left without much choice but to join the Adventurer's Guild under the guidance of Momodi - the proprietor of the local tavern, the Quicksand. With the kind Lalafell's help Era began making a name for herself as an adventurer, eventually bringing in enough gil to pay off the debt she owed her new friend.

    The goal of becoming a master of all forms of magic was what spurred Era on after she failed to find her memories. She had an innate understanding of arcane magic that she had overlooked when she first started out as an adventurer.

    Era had been a master of the arcane arts in the Before. Of this she was sure. Summoning her Carbuncle to her had been as easy as breathing. The rest of the arcane arts had come just as easily. Soon enough people were sending the Arcanist's guild requests for her aid, and Era was perfectly happy to assist.

    Eventually she found herself back in Ul'dah and found herself agreeing to help clear the Copperbell Mines of monsters. It had been an easy enough job, yet her exploits had finally caught the eyes of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn - an order which sought to combat the various problems that plagued Eorzea.

    Momodi relayed the group's request that Era meet with them and she had acquiesced.

    After lengthy discussion with the Scions' leader, Minfillia, Era eventually agreed to join their cause. With her new Scion companions (Tataru, Thancred, Yda, Papalymo, Y'shtola, Alphinaud, and Urianger) she helped uncover the plot of the Ascians - beings of darkness - which was to help the continent's beast tribes with summoning their gods, the Primals, to wreak havoc and destruction upon Eorzea.

    When the events of A Realm Reborn were finally over - the Ascians destroyed for the time being - and Heavensward began, Era, Alphinaud, and Tataru had fled to the Holy See of Ishgard at Haurchefant's urging after being framed for the assassination of Ul'dah's Sultana. It was while in Ishgard that Era befriended the noble House Fortemps as well as the Lord Commander Aymeric, and learned more about the Dragonsong War - a thousand year war between the Ishgardians and the Dravanians.

    Era soon uncovered the truth behind the war and the Archbishop's plot to become a god himself. It was a whirlwind of quests to bring peace, ultimately ending in her killing both the Archbishop Thordan VII and Nidhogg - the two leaders of each warring faction.

    By the end of the war, Era had made two new allies: Estinien, the Azure Dragoon and keeper of Nidhogg's stolen eye, and Ysayle, leader of the 'Heretics', sympathizers of the dragons.

    It was also during the war that her dearest friend Haurchefant was killed. He took a killing blow meant for Era, saving her life. He died in her arms and it is her biggest regret. Once the war was over, Haurchefant's father, Count Edmont, gifted her with a shield bearing the House Fortemps crest, accepting her as an honorary daughter.

    The return of her dear comrades Thancred and Y'shtola - both feared to have died as they fled from Ul'dah - was a bright spot in all of this, and gave Era hope that she would be reunited with her other lost friends as well.

    She returned to Ishgard regularly after the war to visit Aymeric, who was now in charge of both the Knights Templar and Ishgard as a whole. She met the Moogles, the Vanu Vanu, and the Vath, befriending each of the beast tribes by assisting them where she could. She met the sky pirates and helped them and the strange being Cait Sith in liberating the Void Ark.

    Her most recent visit to Ishgard was a matter of urgency rather than leisure. Alisaie had been attacked and was left unconscious, but recovering, in the care of Count Edmont. She had managed to pass the information along that the Ixali were planning to summon Garuda once again, forcing Era to enter Xelphatol and destroy the primal yet again. It is after the defeat of Garuda that the group of what are called the Warriors of Darkness arrive.

    The Warriors of Darkness explained that they were once Warriors of Light just as she had been, but that the forces of Light and Dark were unbalanced now, threatening to destroy the world they hailed from. By destroying Era's world they would save their own. After giving this information the Warriors fled, leaving Era and Alphinaud to return to Ishgard.

    Alisaie awoke, and shared further knowledge that their newfound enemies have been spurring the beast tribes into summoning their gods. Era, Alphinaud and Alisaie went to the Kobolds on the advice of Urianger. They arrived too late to prevent the deaths of many Kobolds and the subsequent summoning of Titan.

    Era destroyed Titan easily and the group reconvened. The knowledge they gained from their mission - that crystals used for summoning had been smuggled through Ishgardian borders - lead them to discover that someone had also been smuggling crystals to the Ala Mhigan resistance.

    It was also during this time that Urianger's actions and motivation become suspect.

    Armed with the suspicion that the Ala Mhigan resistance was attempting to summon a primal of their own to combat the Empire and reclaim their homeland, Era and her companions come into contact with the apparent resistance leader. They were also reunited with both Yda and Papalymo.

    Shortly thereafter word reaches Era that the Amalj'aa were once again planning to summon Ifrit. However upon arrival at the Bowl of Embers they were greeted by countless bodies of slain Amalj'aa, with the Warriors of Darkness standing amidst them in wait for Era. The Warriors were after her life and attacked her and her party. They had almost won the battle when they were suddenly constrained by binding magic. It was then that Urianger betrayed not the Scions, but the Warriors of Darkness, and unbound them.

    Era and the Scions won the battle quickly thereafter. In the end, they had all been summoned to Hydaelyn's domain and encountered Minfillia who they had long suspected dead. Saying her goodbyes, Minfillia took the Warriors of Darkness back to their home and would continue serving as Hydaelyn's avatar alongside their former enemies.

    The Warriors of Darkness now gone, the Scions continued with their mission in Little Ala Mhigo, reuniting with Yda and Papalymo. They needed to prevent the resistance's attack on Baelsar's Wall. yet despite the Scions' best efforts the Ala Mhigan resistance forced the Eorzean alliances' hand when they laid siege to the Wall. There would be no preventing the slaughter.

    Clearing their way to the heart of the battle, Era and her company found themselves facing Ilberd - a traitor from ages ago, mad in his quest for Ala Mhigan liberation. The man had Nidhogg's eyes - items of immeasurable power - and used them to summon the dragon once more as a Primal, with his death as the payment.

    Papalymo gave his life to bind the creature before it could destroy Eorzea. This was, however, a temporary measure. To eradicate the threat Shinryu posed, Era, the Scions, Cid, and the Garlean traitor Nero split up to re-activate the ancient Allag machine used to bind primals: Omega.

    Omega had been summoned. There had been a fearsome fight between it and Shinryu, ending with them both crashing into the Garlean occupied city-state of Gyr Abania.

    There was now no choice in the matter: The Scions of the Seventh Dawn and the Eorzean alliance had been drawn into the Ala Mhigan resistance. War was on the horizon, and it would be bloody.

    POWERS:
    The Echo - Hydaelyn's Blessing. It prevents her mind from being tempered, and allows her to have visions of significant events in the past.

    White Magic - Cure, Medica, Benediction, Regen, Holy, Aero, Stone, Esuna, et cetera. The standard White Mage abilities from Final Fantasy.

    Astrologian Magic - the same healing abilities as with white magic, however with a focus on 'buffing' others with beneficial effects using magical cards, and regens or temporary shields.

    Arcane Magic - Bio, Miasma, Ruin, and other skills that focus on poisons and damaging enemies over time using aether-based abilities. The summoned companion is a Carbuncle who assists in combat.

    Scholar Magic - healing abilities like the others, but with a focus on temporary shields. Her aetherial fairy companion, Lily, can provide regens, defense boosts, increase the efficacy of healing magics, and cast a basic healing ability. Also includes all Arcane skills.

    Summoner Magic - the same skills as found in arcane magic, but with the ability to summon aetherial echos of the Primals Garuda, Titan, and Ifrit, and the ability to tap into the aether of Bahamut and increase her strength immensely for a short period of time.

    Black Magic - Fire, Blizzard, Thunder, Flare, Sleep, Slow, Bind, Ley Lines, Enochian. The added ability to use magic to form a temporary shield against incoming magical and physical attacks.

    Paladin Abilities - basic swordsmanship with the ability to temporary increase her defenses and attract the attention of enemies away from allies. Able to use Hallowed Ground to make herself immune to otherwise fatal damage for a very short period of time.

    Ninja Abilities - using dual daggers that cut and slice enemies like the standard ninja. Able to use different poisons to either Silence or Stun an enemy. Also able to use Mudras (hand symbols) to cast Ninjutsu: Huton (speed increase), Raiton (a bolt of lightning), Katon (a burst of flame), Doton (a circle of earth with increased gravity), Suiton (a blast of water), and Hyoton (a crush of ice).

    Bard - she can hit stuff with poisoned arrows and play a song on the harp to increase the speed of herself and her allies.

    Monk - she can punch stuff really good.

    Dragoon - she can stab things with a spear and jump really high.

    Limited Skill Sets - aside from a few basic abilities that are cross-classed Era will not be able to access the specific job skill sets unless equipped with the appropriate weapon.

    Enhanced Hearing and Spatial Recognition - an Au Ra's horns allow them to hear using vibrations. They are very sensitive, giving the Au Ra a better sense of hearing than Hyur, Roegadyn, and Elezen. They are likely equal to that of a Mi'qote's, but less than a Lalafell's. Auri horns also give them a greater sense of spatial awareness.

    STARTING EQUIPMENT:
    → Peki, her company Chocobo
    → Emerald Carbuncle will be her Daemon. (called Emerald? what happens when a daemon's name ends in a D anyway...)
    → Her 'inventory', which is similar to Hermione Granger's 'bigger on the inside' purse in Harry Potter. It is finitely enlarged by use of aether/an aether pocket. Or something like that. (Community consensus, as there is no official lore, yet we could fit corpses in it...)
    → Inside of her inventory is a mishmash of random things: leathers, potions, sparklers, a bunch of seasame cookies, some Ishgardian muffins, a few cups of triple cream coffee, a bunch of elementally aspected crystal shards, some logs, a bunch of random fruit and herbs, a bunch of glamour prisms, some dyes and pigments, mhachi coin currency, some wind-up toys, a ton of whistles/bells (that will not summon her other mounts in Xist), a bunch of Triple Triad playing cards, and a job crystal for each advanced class.
    → Part of her inventory is her armory chest, which consists of weapons, tools, and armor for white mage, astrologian, scholar, summoner, black mage, paladin, bard, monk, ninja, dragoon, leatherworker, goldsmith, botanist. All of it is attuned to her aether and are generally incompatible with anyone else (though basic things like her bow, shield, etc. can be used at minimal strength). She has only one shield she uses, and it is the House Fortemps shield she was given. The rest of her gear was not on her person.
    → She also has a few basic clothing options in her armory such as a poncho, a kimono, a bikini, and an eastern traveller's outfit.
