- Magic: The exact nature of Loki's powers are unclear, though it is called and considered to be magic by the MCU's standards. What he can do with that magic is equally unclear though it is safe to say his primary use of it are illusions. He can easily manipulate what people see on a small or grand scale and these illusions are not easy to perceive. It also has faint telekinetic abilities as well as mental manipulation, but not on the grand scale as it was with the Chitauri scepter.

- Superhuman Everything: Loki is far stronger than the average human being, ranking up there with Captain America. While strength is never his preferred weapon, it is still one he can use to its full extent. This also includes enhanced speed, stamina, durability and an improved healing factor. You can knock him down but chances are, he'll get back up pretty quickly.

- Immunity to the cold: Due to his half-breed Jotun status, Loki is completely immune to any kind of cold or frost attack.

BACKGROUND:
Twenty years prior, the kraken that would eventually be named Tonn Beag was born in the depths of the Atlantic, to a "mother" that prided herself on sinking ships and killing families. This would be all she was taught, from the moment she was able to swim unaided — that her lot in life was to bring terror to people that traversed the high seas.

However, it wasn't something Tonn was satisfied with in the least. She didn't want to hurt people; their faces haunted her when she was alone, and it left her with a heavy heart all the same. So, one particularly quiet night, she swam. She swam far away from her mother, away from the big bad monsters of the deep, to a quiet stretch of water just off the coast of Ireland. And here she remained, content to help people just by nudging their boats to shore when they went off-course, and occasionally scared other predators away from swimmers and other humans.

There had been one girl who was, strangely, a repeat rescue. A girl with dark hair and freckles, who fumbled when she should have paddled and sputtered when she swam; each time, Tonn would gently tug her back to the shallows, being sure to keep out of sight. This young girl, Brighid, would lead Tonn to the one who would change her life.

After a particularly bad spell, in which Brighid almost drowned, Tonn strayed a little too close to shore and caught the attention of Brighid's mother, and older druid named Abigail; in gratitude for saving her child, the mystic canted a spell which allowed Tonn to shift into a human form — all the better to communicate with the people she wished to help — and gave the little kraken the name by which she goes now. Then, for a time, Tonn lived alongside them both, learning about the surface world and its customs.

This peaceful life wasn't to last long, of course. Abigail's work had been practised in secret, in order to avoid the attention of those that were less tolerant than she, and when the residents of Kilcrohane found out about what she had done with Tonn, a sizable number of folk were eager to be rid of her — and so the three of them packed their few belongings and set out, hoping to outpace those that would hunt them down.

POWERS:

- Manipulation of Self: Tonn can alter her form, being able to swap between a human appearance and her natural squid body. This effects of this can be partial (growing her tentacles out of her back to help her reach things, for example), or a complete change from one form to another.
- Natural Strength: Due to her time spent in the pressure of the ocean depths, Tonn is capable of some impressive lifting for someone of her slight frame, able to deadlift roughly 300 pounds.
- Fast Swimmer: In her squid form, Tonn can swim up to 25 mph; as a human, she can swim at about 8 mph, just above the speed of Olympic swimmers.
- Ink Shot: Under duress, Tonn can spit a thick ink out of her mouth in order to disorient someone.

Brighid ends up injured in the heat of the moment, and Abigail stays behind to tend to her daughter; as Tonn turns around to make sure the two of them are okay, the wind knocks debris into her and sends her careening into the sea. When she wakes next, it's in the waters of Xistentia.

note to mods: However, since there isn't much history on him beyond that, I've cobbled together a likely history for him based on snippets about MACUSA's history, his ancestry, the world that he's in and inferences on what is likely known of him.

Percival Graves was born to a very well-respected and influential wizarding family in 1887. His ancestor was Gondolphus Graves, one of the original 12 Aurors that founded the Magical Congress of the United States of America, a governing body for the wizarding community in the USA, charged with upholding the laws and protecting their own. As the need had been so great for Aurors then--the dangers many and reprieves few -- the original 12 Aurors and their descendants were honored above all else and given a particular type of respect. As of 1926, canonically, the United States of America remained one of the most hostile environments for magical people, mainly because of Scourer descendants (Scourers are wizard mercenaries who hunt their own for profit, hunted in turn by the MACUSA). They vanished permanently into the No-Maj community, and very actively kept suspicion of magic alive. Unlike places like the UK, Europe etc, there was no cooperation between the No-Maj government and MACUSA.

Percival Graves, of course, inherited a very proud legacy and lineage to both live up to and surpass:one of protecting and defending the interests of the magical community in the USA, upholding the laws that separate them from the No-Majs thanks to the unprecedented hostility and distrust the No-Majs have against them since the Salem Witch Trials began. He attended Ilvermorny when he was a child, as is required of every child born to magic. He was also sorted into the Wampus house, which favors warriors above all else, and he was an excellent student, which is expected of him considering his privileged background and his proud heritage.

With great power comes great responsibility, so to speak, and Graves became an Auror when he graduated, rising rapidly up the ranks. He was known as one of the most distinguished Aurors at MACUSA even before his promotion, which speaks volumes of his exceptional skill that surpasses even his peers, who are wizarding elites in their own right. He is known to be a very powerful wizard to all.

In Pottermore, it is said that wizards have participated in the war during WWI in secret, fighting their own kind while the soldiers fighting the war themselves are none the wiser. It can be extrapolated that he participated in WWI on the American side, fighting against enemy wizards as his heritage and his own pride would allow him to do no less than that (this can also explain why Graves and Theseus know, and have a high opinion of each other). Graves has seen war, has been hardened and strengthened by it. Seeing the effects of war also propelled him to work harder to prevent it, especially between No-Majs and wizardkind -- despite the victory on their side, the truth is that nobody really wins, not when the body count on both sides is so high. As a direct result of seeing the devastation of war, Graves’ firm support of hiding the wizarding community from the No-Majs is further augmented.

As the best and most accomplished Auror in MACUSA (able to effortlessly use wandless magic), Graves' abilities earned him two major positions within MACUSA: Director of Magical Security (a post equivalent to that of the No-Maj Secretary of Homeland Security), and chief of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement (the largest department in MACUSA), as well as the unofficial position of being the President Seraphina Picquery's right-hand man. He is charged with very heavy responsibilities, ensuring the safety of American witches and wizards and upholding strict laws to keep the magical and No-Maj community from fraternizing. As he is also often sought for counsel by Madam Picquery, he spends just about all his waking hours within MACUSA, making sure everything runs smoothly.

CRAU:

Events
- Graves was unexpectedly sent to the village in Sixth Iteration, and spent six months there
- He adapted quite well, and then met the villagers and most importantly Credence, who reacted badly upon seeing him -- Graves has no idea who he is, but he'll discover it soon
- Graves meets the others: Queenie, Newt, etc, and he discovers that he'd been impersonated by Grindelwald, and had been most likely killed
- He does not deal with that very well, despite all appearances to the contrary
- He adjusts to life in the village and focuses on finding the route out and learning to make peace with the fact that he dies
- He becomes more protective of his own people, and because he's aware that witches and wizards aren't looked upon kindly by No-Majs, he keeps their abilities a secret as best as he can
- Graves saves Credence from the lightning
- Graves is also attacked by the Credence!Obscurus (who had gone on a rampage through the village) and then pretty much provides a non-explanation to the rest of the villagers
- He, and the others, are then afflicted with the lack of magic for some reason or another, and they learn to adapt
- His personality doesn't change very much, save for the fact that he's re-evaluating what his life has been, coming to terms with the fact that he'll die when he returns, but that things have turned out for the better thanks to Newt and the rest

CRAU events: Arriving at a mysterious village through a well ([personal profile] sixthiteration), Credence spent nearly a year without technology or his powers. The majority of the problems he has faced is natural disasters--being buried under rubble during an earthquake for three days, lightning storms killing someone in the village, trying to survive and fend for himself.

The technicians that ran the village -- although Credence was positive it was Purgatory--were not above playing with memories and powers. The only time Credence got his power back, he destroyed an entire building and nearly killed a handful of people. Credence had secluded himself for roughly a month, though he has slowly come to terms with what has happened and talked to those he hurt.
CRAU important CR: While the majority of his castmates showed up, Credence bonded most with Graves, even going so far as to live with the man for a solid four months. While in the village the two would talk about magic and the world he’d been denied back home, and the two formed an extremely close bond once they realized that Grindelwald had used both of them. Graves also saved Credence from near death via lightning strike, something Credence has never forgotten.

Another noticeable close friend was an original character by the name of Kira. The two arrived near the same time and became absolutely inseparable. Kira was one of the people who helped him on the path to recovery, and the first person Credence ever called a friend.

Be it subconscious or otherwise, most of Credence’s close CR had a tendency to be strong women, for example Peggy Carter and Stella Gibson--they were the first he opened up to about his life and his trauma, although even then he never quite said much.

Personality changes For the most part, Credence is largely the same. His base personality hasn’t changed one bit-- he’s still shy, overly polite, and incredibly awkward and skittish. However, thanks to Kira’s influence, he’s capable of actually holding a conversation. On occasion, he’ll even say hello. It’s rare, but Credence can stand up for himself--but it’ll still take quite a while and quite a lot of pushing for him to snap. Generally, he’s a bit more happier now that he’s been free from Mary Lou for such a long time.

POWERS: Credence is an extremely powerful wizard. The problem is he literally knows nothing. He's the first Obscurial in America in 200 years and the oldest one in the world, as they don't live past 10, usually. This means he is capable of immense magic, but never learned how to do it or even what he is. He has the potential to learn magic without being destructive such as unlocking/locking doors, levitating things, conjuring/transfiguring objects, self-teleportation, and the like with the use of words and a wand, though after immense training he may do so without the use of these aids. here is a comprehensive list.

-Credence is an Obscurial. Brought on by oppressing and repressing his latent magical abilities via abuse and trauma, he has a magical parasite called an Obscurus feeding off of his energy. This makes him unable to control himself during times of anger, stress, or other negative emotions. He essentially turns into a ball of smoke/dark magical energy and wreaks havoc, mostly in the form of telekinesis. A more detailed overview is here. This will most likely be nerfed, as he has the potential to destroy an entire city, but I would like the option of contacting the mods for a player plot about this somewhere along the road!

POWERS: Her powers come from yellow sunlight, and there's lots of ways to nerf her if need be (green kryptonite, red kryptonite, etc). Her powers:

- heat vision

- Super strength
- invincible to anything except kryptonite (unless her powers are taken away, then she can die in any normal human way)
- can't have her mind read
- x-ray vision
- immune to Earth's illnesses
- super hearing
- quick healing
- She's also proficient in hand-to-hand combat

In general, tho, she doesn't use her powers by default, unless she's defending someone from something else, or as the occasional party trick (like heating up Thanksgiving turkey with her eyes). So, most of the time, if she's dressed down as Kara Danvers, no one would know she's powerful unless she tells/shows them.
STARTING EQUIPMENT: work/Kara clothes would probably be a cardigan, a nice collared shirt, and some black slacks, or a smart skirt. Other than that, she'll be in her supersuit.

She keeps a bluetooth ear comm in to talk to people at the DEO, so she'll have that, and her phone.

Her daemon will be a Lumir named Astra.

EXIT STRATEGY: After eliminating the Daxamites and sending off Mon-El to parts unknown, Kara throws herself into her work as Supergirl harder than ever. She doesn't think about consequences when she hears a deep sea alien in the nearby ocean and dives down after it. They fight underwater, and Kara is knocked back through the Earth and, unknowingly, through a breach. She floats, unconscious, and washes up on the shores of Xistentia.

Expanded from Terminator Salvation: The movie instead a AU where Marcus survives his heart transplant. Marcus takes a much larger role in this comic considering John is busy fighting the war against the machines. Marcus is reactivated by Skynet given a mission of actually telling John and the Human Resistance that there is a new threat named Parnell and he is now the main threat instead of both of them. Marcus has to convince John and company that he didn’t come back evil and that he isn’t insane to tell them Skynet wants John’s help. After John talks with his friend for a while, they agreed it was for the best that John does this for the greater good. So John follows Marcus while Parnell agrees to help Dr. Kogan and Skynet in creating murderous terminators by connecting his brain into Skynet’s computers. Parnell gets too power hungry and wants all of Skynet’s powers forcing John to help Skynet and Dr. Kogan in trying to kill !Skynet Parnell before he takes all of Skynet’s servers away. John’s essence is transferred into a t-800 and he fights Parnell and the bloody terminators while Marcus leads the human resistance.

POWERS: Marcus is a cyborg who is a mix of human and terminator. He can survive being shot at and revive skin, and his organs thanks to backup systems in his programming. He also has the power to lift twice his strength. He is also stronger than 10 humans combined. He is also a talented marksman knowing how to turn a gun back on a opponent such as a young Kyle Reese.

He knows his way around cars because of his criminal background. He knows how to hotwire cars, fix them and drive them.

STARTING EQUIPMENT: Dog tags from the Resistance saying Marcus Wright, a few futuristic guns and his leather jacket.

His Deamon is Blair, a resistance pilot under John Connor that he likes in the first movie.

Expanded from Terminator Salvation: The movie instead a AU where Marcus survives his heart transplant. Marcus takes a much larger role in this comic considering John is busy fighting the war against the machines. Marcus is reactivated by Skynet given a mission of actually telling John and the Human Resistance that there is a new threat named Parnell and he is now the main threat instead of both of them. Marcus has to convince John and company that he didn’t come back evil and that he isn’t insane to tell them Skynet wants John’s help. After John talks with his friend for a while, they agreed it was for the best that John does this for the greater good. So John follows Marcus while Parnell agrees to help Dr. Kogan and Skynet in creating murderous terminators by connecting his brain into Skynet’s computers. Parnell gets too power hungry and wants all of Skynet’s powers forcing John to help Skynet and Dr. Kogan in trying to kill !Skynet Parnell before he takes all of Skynet’s servers away. John’s essence is transferred into a t-800 and he fights Parnell and the bloody terminators while Marcus leads the human resistance.


POWERS: Marcus is a cyborg who is a mix of human and terminator. He can survive being shot at and revive skin, and his organs thanks to backup systems in his programming. He also has the power to lift twice his strength. He is also stronger than 10 humans combined. He is also a talented marksman knowing how to turn a gun back on a opponent such as a young Kyle Reese.

He knows his way around cars because of his criminal background. He knows how to hotwire cars, fix them and drive them.

- Peter was an orphan, unaware of his own history. his heritage is a mystery to him, as well as any remaining members of his family.
- a man named Mag picked him up off the streets and raised him as his own, teaching him all the ins and outs of thieving.
- it's worthwhile to note that Mag claimed to have known Peter's father, reciting a story about how he was killed in Brahma thanks to a protection system that unjustly murders harmless citizens.
- as Peter grows older, he and Mag decide to pull off their biggest scam yet -- following in Peter's father's shoes and seeking to rid Brahma of the laser system.
- Peter is all for it, up until Mag makes it clear the entirety of Brahma will have to die in order for them to succeed. he refuses to aid Mag in their heist in the last stretch of it -- and it's then that Mag reveals he never really knew his father, and was more or less lying in order to push his own agenda. that said, he claims to have never really lied -- that someone like the man he described must have been killed on Brahma before, and that many people will continue to die if they don't see through this heist.
- Peter continues to refuse, and Mag means to make out without him. it's then that Peter pulls out a knife on him and stabs him to death, settling the core reactor back where it belongs and insuring the safety of Brahma.
- this is when Peter decides he will no longer be Peter Nureyev. from here on out, he jumps personas, remaining elusive and impossible to catch, like a shadow. you can't catch something without a name!

then on to Juno Steel,
- Peter meets Juno while in the middle of a scam, pretending to be his partner in order to get close enough to steal the murder weapon in a case Juno is currently working on.
- somewhere along the line he. falls in love.
- but, ultimately, Juno is far more clever than any detective Peter has known before and figures him out, handcuffing and sending him off to jail.
- long story short, Peter gets free and Juno watches, and it's like weird foreplay. Juno proceeds to obsess over Peter while they're apart, Peter proceeds to obsess over Juno while they're apart.
- the next time they meet, it's because Juno needs something. Peter takes the opportunity to his advantage and it's a mutually beneficial exchange, first playing a card game to get intel on how to stow their way onto a train that travels by the lightyear, the most expensive and the most deadly treasures hidden on board it, and then finding their way to it.
- of course, they're met with a fair share of difficulty through this, but eventually they get what they need off it. unfortunately, when they're making their get away, they aren't alone.
- Peter and Juno get taken captive by Miasma, a person with a deadly desire to become the most powerful person in the universe, through collecting ancient Martian Artifacts. thankfully(??), Juno is in possession of one of them, so they get taken captive instead of killed on spot.
- the two of them are tortured for an undisclosed amount of time, before Peter eventually escapes, leaving Juno alone for a time. he promises to come back for him, and eventually he does, right in the nick of time.
- inevitably, they kill Miasma and make their escape. they make plans to leave Mars and start a new life together.
- Juno runs in the night, and Peter wakes up in bed alone. on the same day, he leaves Mars, and out of Juno's life forever.

POWERS: Nothing superhuman, but it is worthwhile to note that Peter is a very experienced and very good thief. He is clever and intuitive, and makes a lifestyle out of being tricky and slippery, stealing even the most heavily guarded goods on Mars.

EXIT STRATEGY: Nabbed and edited from our Tony Stark's app, with permission from China - The world ended with red-armored military forces that wouldn't stop and raging electrical storms that overwhelmed the vast majority of even Thor's ability for weather control, and all the combined powers of the Avengers. Tony Stark and Steve Rogers brought the gang back together in hopes of fighting them off, but it was futile. In the end, they'd packed into a jet Tony Stark had devised in the final moments of the world-- unbeknownst to him, divine inspriation (F.A.T.E.S.) had struck and allowed it to jump worlds. Through whacky space nonsense and time shenanigans, Tony had arrived earlier on this jet, and it would now crash again, a few months later, with Thor alone.

A quick note: the book has a different ending whichhhh I prefer to the movie. Basically: instead of having to shoot the Vietnamese sniper girl, he has to ~mercy kill his friend Cowboy after he's grievously injured but not killed by a sniper. That's the only part of this that's different to the plot up there! I also first started writing Joker after I'd seen the movie but before I'd read the book and its sequel, so I have a lot of headcanon on Joker's upbringing and background that I'm partial to that doesn't mesh with the books. It's really small things, for example in the book he's from Alabama but I write him being from California, but I thought I'd mention it!
POWERS: None powers, just a regular human. However, he does have military training and experience in battle. Gift of the gab? That's kind of a power. Not really.

Gossip was harsh and common when Haneul was a boy. It wasn't just that his mother was young and unwed, though that would've been enough in Gwangju, but when your missing parent is rumored to be a ghost-

Well, tongues wag.

So childhood was a lot of quiet meals in his grandfather's house and quiet days at Mudeungsan mountain. His life was unremarkable until his teenage years, when he started getting flashes of something, images that he didn't want to see. And then they came to him, the spirit that left the limp body on the street, or the tapping of a beak against a window after a bird flew into it. He worried at first, but instinct soon took over, and Haneul led them where they needed to go.

Whether it was a result of Haneul coming into his own as a psychopomp, or spirits seeking him out for his help, paranormal activity started to pick up around their house. His mother urged him not to tell his grandfather anything, and took the blame for it herself. Haneul came home from school one spring afternoon to find a shaman and his own grandparents trying to force the evil spirits from his mother's body. She died at their hands, and Haneul escorted his first human spirit.

At the age of fourteen, Haneul went to live with his aunt in the United States. He felt comfortable with her and the unusual people that she kept company with. He started school, he worked hard to perfect his English, and he started paying attention to the premonitions. Haneul thought he might be able to prevent the things that he saw happening, and maybe put himself out of his weird job in the process. So far it's always ended the same way: too late for the body, but just in time for the person's soul.

What he's seen hasn't really inspired hope or dread in him, though there are times when that final destination seems more on the menacing side, when Haneul has to give the person a nudge. Lingering behind causes a decay of the spirit that's not unlike the decay of the body. Being a psychopomp only made Haneul want to live his best life, and his personal bucket list takes up the better part of a notebook. He's ticked off a few things so far: he's tried all 31 of Baskin Robbin's flavors, he's taken a whale watching cruise, he's gotten over his fear of insects (mostly) by taking a college entomology class. There's so much more to do, and a hundred years wouldn't be nearly enough time for all of it.

POWERS:
ability to safely travel between the realms of the living and the dead: It just comes with the job of being a psychopomp. (This ability is sealed for gameplay. Haneul won't be going anywhere.)

brief bursts of clairvoyance where death and danger are involved: This happens with a flash of a vision and a headache that could bring a bull down. There is never enough detail for him to know the full how, when, and where, but it's enough to put him on high alert.

intangibility: Largely connected to his emotions, with negative ones often resulting in this state. It's mostly accidental.

poltergeist activity: Really it's just telekinesis, but a little more chaotic and a little more compact. This ability is ranged to twenty feet in all directions, and limited to moving objects that are twenty pounds or less.

a storybook romance is one that most everyone pines for, and spends years searching for. the freeman's were lucky enough to find it with ease.

leigh & willis fell in love young and they fell in love hard. they believed in a different type of human being. people who had abilities hidden inside them that they'd somehow unlocked, and learned to use. but the more that the young lovers spoke about what they called apex humans, the more odd looks they gained, the fewer friends they found themselves with, the less seriously they were taken.

ii.

the earth shook when zane & crimson were born. the clouds parted and the skies wept tears of pure elation. or rather, this was what a parent with the highest of expectations tells their children. this was what their parents proudly boasted, telling what sounded to be a fairy tale as though it were true facts.

(however, those things did, in fact, happen on that same day; an earthquake just off the coast followed by a storm late in the afternoon. whether or not they had anything to do with the birth of twins had yet to be proven -- but was ultimately unlikely.)

the pair of children grew up as close as twins would have. one never venturing far from the other and often times it seemed as though the pair could communicate with one another using nothing more than looks given to the other.

iii.

the twins begin presenting apex human abilities at a young age crimson with the power to manipulate light and color while zane found his powers lying in the world of sound. his childhood cries could shatter glass and send even the most brutish of men cowering at the pressure bearing down on their eardrums.

the pair were also quick to exhibit a clear power inheritance and shared sight -- either being able to use the other's ability as long as they are in close enough proximity to one another, and a memory/vision sharing ability respectively, giving the twins moments when they'd actually would communicate without speaking a single word to one another

iv.

apex human abilities and those presenting them are often kept hush-hush. anyone speaking out loud about such things is typically given the most skeptical of looks and rarely taken seriously from that point forward. those who exhibit any sort of abilities do their best to blend in, lest they want the added attention that comes along with it.

the freeman's speak freely about these abilities and were both thrilled when zane and crimson exhibited them, encouraging their children to use them, learn more about them, and teach others as well.

v.

the twins attend public school and are relatively quiet about their apex human ability status -- despite the fact that their parents are both very vocal on their stance and belief on exactly how certain abilities manifest in individuals.

(for which there is no scientific evidence. no institutes are willing to conduct experiments on such a touchy topic. it's easier, and fiscally smarter, for them to keep out.)

they keep mostly to one another, sticking close to each other throughout their school years -- which likely didn't help the rumors that circulated about them and their somewhat off the wall behavior

POWERS:
    Sound Beam Emission : zane is able to manipulate and create sound waves. he can mimic various sounds and voices. he also has the ability to control their frequency and decibel intensity, making them loud enough to shatter glass, or even do physical damage to others -- usually under extreme conditions, only. he can also direct them in a straight path in the form of a sound beam attack.
    Shared Sight / Shared Vision : zane has a direct mental connection with his twin sister crimson ([personal profile] luminator). they are able to share previous memories as well as thoughts between one another.

    EXIT STRATEGY: zane had been enjoying an afternoon of binge-watching his latest netflix original series -- avoiding the studying that he knew he should have been doing -- when there was a sudden, and unexpected earthquake. at first, zane thought nothing of the shaking until it began to intensify, things falling off the shelves, the walls beginning to crumble around him, the ceiling above him crashing down. his powers begin to go insane, decibels spiking and the sounds in his head becoming a deafening cacophony. in a frantic search to find his sister, he tries to flee the room, stepping directly into a portal that opens up on the floor.

a storybook romance is one that most everyone pines for, and spends years searching for. the freemans were lucky enough to find it with ease.

Leigh & Willis fell in love young and they fell in love hard. they believed in a different type of human being. people who had abilities hidden inside them that they'd somehow unlocked, and learned to use. but the more that the young lovers spoke about what they called apex humans, the more odd looks they gained, the fewer friends they found themselves with, the less seriously they were taken.

the earth shook when zane & crimson were born. the clouds parted and the skies wept tears of pure elation. or rather, this was what a parent with the highest of expectations tells their children. this was what their parents proudly boasted, telling what sounded to be a fairy tale as though it were true facts.

(however, those things did, in fact, happen on that same day; an earthquake just off the coast followed by a storm late in the afternoon. whether or not they had anything to do with the birth of twins had yet to be proven -- but was ultimately unlikely.)

the pair of children grew up as close as twins would have. one never venturing far from the other and often times it seemed as though the pair could communicate with one another using nothing more than looks given to the other.

apex human abilities and those presenting them are kept hush-hush. anyone speaking out loud about such things is typically given the most skeptical of looks and rarely taken seriously from that point forward. those who exhibit any sort of abilities do their best to blend in, lest they want the added attention that comes along with it.

the freeman's speak freely about these abilities and were both thrilled when zane and crimson exhibited them, encouraging their children to use them, learn more about them, and teach others as well.

the twins attend public school and are relatively quiet about their apex human ability status -- despite the fact that their parents are both very vocal on their stance and belief on exactly how certain abilities manifest in individuals.

(for which there is no scientific evidence. no institutes are willing to conduct experiments on such a touchy topic. it's easier, and fiscally smarter, for them to keep out.)

they keep mostly to one another, sticking close to each other throughout their school years -- which likely didn't help the rumors that circulated about them and their somewhat off the wall behavior

    Light Manipulation : crimson can manipulate light that exists, shaping and directing it. under extreme duress, she would be able to create light.

    Color Manipulation : crimson can create and manipulate shapes with color and light. this is fundamentally a visual phenomena. however, with enough concentration and energy, she could use this to create an illusion or disguise.

    Shared Sight / Shared Vision : crimson has a direct mental connection with her twin brother zane ([personal profile] tonality). they are able to share visions as well as thoughts between one another.

EXIT STRATEGY: crimson was studying for her mid terms in the library when an earthquake started. at first, it seemed normal and that there was nothing to worry about but quickly she began to realize that this was not a normal earthquake. her powers started malfunctioning, light and color unbalancing around her and when she tried to get to zane a shelf started falling. it almost hit her if not for crack into a swirling vortex opened up beneath her feet and pulled her in.

  • Blood magic: Tasting someone's species/heritage through the air around them, recognizing individual magic signatures, 'riding the blood' to get the last memories a person had before bleeding (often but not always before they died), shifting the balance of the blood for people who are mixed species, and in VERY extreme circumstances bringing back the dead. Is easier for her to work by tasting her own blood.

  • Rapid healing: Toby heals from minor cuts and the like in seconds, will heal from a gunshot wound in minutes, and given enough time (and if she's not injured again), will even heal from being almost disemboweled within an hour. However, she will feel the affects of severe blood loss and will need to hydrate/eat soon after.

  • Illusions: Limited, but can hide people under an illusion for a short time, as well as hiding her own fae nature with a glamour. Her illusions are stronger/easier to work when she is angry.

  • Wards: Limited, will not keep someone out but will show if they've broken in

EXIT STRATEGY: When fire started filling the streets of San Francisco, Toby assumed (not without reason) that the worlds of Faerie and human were being torn apart by changeling Chelsea. Unlike her brothers not much is known about her background but what we do know is this: She is from the royal family of her clan and that she is the baby of the family. Her family is rather small when compared to other families are that she only has three older siblings: A sister and two brothers. But early on in her life a great tragedy struck her family and clan; the oldest sibling, her only sister, suddenly vanished without a trace and was never seen again.

The Heron clan was considered to be one of the most beloved out of all the League tribes and clans. Because of this, other bird clans were willing to aid and watch over the Herons and their royal family. One clan in particular was willing to become the guardians to the Herons and even sent their own royal family to watch over the Heron royal family. The Hawk clan followed by the Crow clan offered to protect the then royal family. Though her brothers preferred the Hawk clan, Leanne preferred the crow clan but more importantly, their young prince. The two of them quickly became childhood sweethearts and Leanne, was more than willing to become the Crow prince's fiance.

Happy times could be found for all the Bird clans until tragedy strikes once again: The Serenes Forest Massacre. The Beorcs of the Empire, unknown to any of the clans, decided to blame the Heron clan for a tragedy within their own Empire and without warning, attacked the Serenes forest by setting fire to it. Leanne never interacted with any of those of the Beorc race before this, it was the first time she has ever felt truly afraid. The screams of her fellow Herons reached her ears and her eyes caught sight of those trying to escape the fires, dying by the hands of the Beorcs. That sight was the final sight that she sees before her family rushed her away into the deep heart of the forest and it puts its spell on the young Heron princess for her to sleep and keep her safe and hidden until it is once more, safe for her to roam the world again.

- Galdrars are songs that are used mainly to heal, boost morals, spirits and emotions. There are a few that are more 'aggresive' in nature and one that can kill her if she uses it. These galdrars of course won’t be used without mun permission. Also, she is a Heron Laguz and because she is one, she can change into the form of a pure white Heron and can fly in that form as well as her normal form. She can also sense the amount of Order and Chaos within people she interacts with (with the majority being Chaotic).

- Because she is a Heron she can sense or ‘see’ people’s emotions, the state of their being and their thoughts. None of this will be done without explicit mun permission.

- A fact about herons are the world’s most fragile race of people. Her bones are very fragile that any forms of strong sudden pressure can easily break them, i.e. punching somebody will result in her breaking all the bones in her hand. She also has to stay in a certain type of environment or else she will fall gravely ill or worse, die due to the environment. One thing that heavily effects the environment for a Heron is the amount of Chaos within it. Herons are very sensitive to Chaos that when coming into contact with Chaos of any form, the best case is that they will fall ill and pass out. Worst case is that they will die due to the exposure. Also because she has been sleeping for the past 20+ years of her life, she is notably weaker than the rest of her clan.

- Since she was raised by Serenes, Leanne is more in tune with Nature and can easily commune and control it. Her bond with Nature is strong enough that she no longer needs to verbalize her words in order to commune with it. She mainly uses this ability to ask for food, ask for protection, and find a good place to sleep.

EXIT STRATEGY: Even though Serenes was closed off from the rest of the world due to the Ancient Magics, it could sense the impending destruction and despair. The elder trees made the choice to disobey the Heron Queen's final wishes to keep Leanne safe deep within its care and send her to a safer place. Using the last of its powers, Serenes carefully made raft made from fallen trees, covered in moss and flowers to send her sleeping form off to someplace safer and away from the impending destruction which was attacking the rest of Tellius.

In the process the two get sucked into a portal leading to Xistentia and getting lost in the process. Lagunbiru in a nutshell:
Aoba didn't spend enough time at the Station to have any significant changes. Mainly, he made a few friends and generally tried to avoid the hedonistic lifestyle that seemed popular on the Station. Basically he was in a dangerous situation back at home and was somewhat grateful to have been taken out of it, but less grateful once he realized he had potentially had his memories messed with and was now on contract to make a living practically as a sex worker? Not a great thing to wake up to, but while he wasn't a fan of his situation at Lagunbiru, he didn't think anyone deserved the violent end that marked his arrival at Xistentia.
- Woke up to discover he was in space, where the bored and wealthy play some ancient old person game called Bingo
- Only this wasn't your granny's bingo. This was kink bingo. With sexy things. And it was pretty much the only way to get money.
- Aoba also discovered posts made by him on the network that he has no memory of and predated his so-called arrival at the Station. The running theory was that the Station was wiping people's memories or manipulating them to keep people in debt and on contract.
- Outside of actively avoiding such bizarre events like Kink-lympics, Aoba pretty much tried to live as normally as he could, feeling very much in the minority of people who weren't... you know. Exhibitionist swingers or something.


POWERS:
Scrap: A very overpowered and not very well-defined ability that Aoba has in DMMD canon. The key to it's use is Aoba's unusual vocal chords, which already has a passive effect - basically it just sounds very attractive, represented by frequent callers to the junkshop he worked at in Midorijima who become obsessed by his voice (and he uses this to score big sales). But when he uses it more actively, it allows him to merge his consciousness with other people's and it functions like a sort of mind control via voice command. A more powerful version of Scrap has additional effects: It can control, render unconscious, cause seizures, induce comas... or even kill. When Aoba knows someone well, it can go even deeper to expose deep seated problems or mental/emotional blocks that he can then destroy. Through careful application of Scrap, Aoba can perform miraculous feats - curing a man from the incurable condition that rendered him unable to feel sensation on his skin, or diverting a man's self-destructive lifestyle and averting suicide, etc. Aoba very rarely uses this ability as it induces painful and eventually debilitating headaches and runs the risk of 'Other Aoba' asserting himself and taking over.

Multiple Personality (Other Aoba/Shiroba): Aoba has never accepted his other self and has suppressed him. Other Aoba is described as mentally unstable and destructive, this side of him is very strong, violent and cruel - seems to revel in abuse even to the point of translating pain into pleasure and threaten the lives of others around him. This fragment of his personality seems to represent his ability, Scrap. He craves destruction (including his own) and thrills in provocation. As such, he's physically stronger than normal when he's in control, and has no hesitation or drawbacks to using Scrap to it's fullest potential. When this other personality takes over, or when Scrap is used, Aoba's eyes change from a warm hazel color to bright yellow.

Aoba's Weird Hair: This isn't a power so much as a weakness that's worth noting? Aoba's hair functions like nerve endings on their own, so he cuts his own hair (which is why it looks terrible) and having it touched, pulled or held can feel uncomfortable or inflict a lot of pain.

EXIT STRATEGY: Aoba was trying to get to the escape pods but as the attacks on the Station grew more devastating, the structural damage became so bad that an airlock failed, sucking him out into open space. However, Aoba was instantly pulled into a wormhole that threw him onto the snow-covered beach of Xistentia with no sign of other survivors from the Station that he could recognize.

MAGNETOKINESIS > Lorna has the ability to manipulate magnetic fields, giving her a range of talents associated with it
MAGNETIC MANIPULATION > At a basic level, Lorna is able to manipulate ferromagnetic metals. This gives her an ability to move metals in any way she wishes. While she had a limited range once before, her pregnancy has enhanced her ability to a greater power and range. As such, so long as Lorna can react, she can use her abilities near instantly. This means she's able to stop bullets, and even shoot them back. She has strength enough to tear a moving plane apart, as well, though it takes a tremendous amount of effort on her part. Through manipulation of metals, Lorna is also able to make herself fly. This is only possible if she's wearing metals on her body, which she does often ever since she made this discovery at 16. Due to her ability to manipulate ferromagnetic metals, she's also able to sense where these metals may be found. This means she can also sometimes sense people nearby ( with concentrated effort ) due to trace metals in their systems.

ELECTROMAGNETISM > Using magnetic fields, Lorna can manipulate electric currents. She can force currents to reverse, surge and burst, and create EMP fields that take out electronics in the vicinity. She can also tamper with walkie-talkie and cellphone frequencies. As with sensing ferromagnetic metals, Lorna is able to sense electrical currents, including electromagnetic pulses in living creatures nervous systems ( again, with great concentration. )

SAMPLES:
It's a strange feeling going from deafening chaos into near utter silence. The sound of the waves nearby are loud enough, but compared to the chaos of the hounds that had just attacked her home, they were nothing. Her hands dig at the sand and snow as Lorna tries to grasp the situation. It's not really a comprehensible one. Her eyes scan wildly over the beach for anything that would put this world into some sort of framework.

It only really gets weirder, though.

Laying not too far in front of her was something she wasn't holding on her person when she left through the door. A medallion, one she kept but didn't carry around everywhere.

Yet there it lay, red and glistening against the white snow.

Lorna climbed up onto her knees, still dazed as she reached for the medallion. She held it in her lap, squinting as she continued to look up and down the beach. There were no answers, but she seemed to be hoping some might magically appear. And sure enough, they did.

When the medallion spoke, she eyed it with strange curiosity. Yet she took into account all it had to say, and when it finally asked for a name, she gave it one. "Magnet--.... Magnet. Just Magnet." Somehow, she seemed closer to Magneto than she'd ever been. That didn't mean she had to invite him into her life, though. Even just by name.

Magnetd, then. The daemon settles on.

She finally stands, and a thought occurs to her. "Hey Magnet...d? Did the X-Men come here?"

I have no records of "X-MEN" currently.

"Of course not. That'd be too easy," She sighs heavily as she starts to walk along the beach. She throws the medallion in the air, letting it flip before catching it with her magnetism. "Guess I'm doing this all over again."


EXIT STRATEGY:
D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. infiltrated a program to turn mutants into weapons called the Hound program to use to it's advantage. Red soldiers in the form of mutant hounds swarmed where the Mutant Underground was meeting, just as Lorna was leaving with her newly formed Hellfire Club. She tried to get herself and others out the door, but when she tried to leave as well she ended up in a beach instead of just outside the building.


ANYTHING ELSE:
On her pregnancy - I would like Lorna to have her pregnancy suspended. She'd still be pregnant, but the pregnancy wouldn't progress past where it is currently. Meaning that she needs to be careful of any risks she would take that might hurt her pregnancy, but we don't run into any problems of her having the baby before season 2 comes out.

On baby!affected powers - While all the lines of her powers vs. the baby's assistance haven't been drawn, the biggest difference seems to be Lorna's range and need to strain herself. Early in the show, Lorna can't affect a drone that is too high in the sky and outside her range. At the end of the series, she can tear a plane from the sky ( though it was taking off, so not fully in the air ). She's also shown to be able to move several large metal poles with ease early on, but later during the pregnancy shown to shut a large vault door with just the flick of her wrist. She could do the latter with a lot of strain and concentration, but she remarks that with the baby she's able to do it at that distance with just a flick.

BACKGROUND:

POWERS:

Marcos can absorb and manipulate photons. This gives him the power to manipulate heat and light energy, storing it in his body. This gives him increased physical strength. The photons appear to be stored in his blood, as when injured, his blood is shown to glow while inside his body. While he is actively bleeding, his blood will be bright and hot to the touch, like molten metal, and has been shown to burn through metal and glass. After glowing initially, it reverts to a normal red colour, implying that it only stores light while inside his body.

He is able to use the light he has absorbed in numerous ways. Most often he is shown converting it into lasers which shoot from his palms or fingertips, depending on how precise he wants to be. He can use them for both concussive blasts and as heat rays, allowing him to blast through concrete and cinder blocks, burn through metal and melt glass. He can control the level of heat that he exudes, and is also capable of emitting light without heat which he can use like a flashlight, or to light up other objects (such as when he shines it through broken glass to create a light show around Lorna). He is able to absorb light from both natural and synthetic sources. He can absorb all the light from an area, creating a space of complete darkness, though this is shown to be taxing to him and he cannot do it for long. He is also able to emit bright, blinding flashes of light. He can emit light at sufficient brightness to blind someone, even with their eyes shut.

  • Daemon: His daemon will resemble the necklace that Marcos wore as a member of Carmen's drug cartel; a pendant on a chain, carved with a talisman in the likeness of the Grim Reaper. Its name will be Muerted, 'Muerte' being the Spanish word for death.

EXIT STRATEGY: Marcos' world is already at war, with mutants being hunted down by extremists who hate them. Their enemies have been represented by Sentinel Services, a government agency, and Trask Industries, a company which has created brainwashed mutant soldiers called Hounds to hunt down their fellow mutants. D.E.S.T.I.N.Y inserts itself into this setting, providing red-skinned, superpowered heroes to join the Hound programme. When a group of them attacks what's left of the Mutant Underground, Marcos attempts to escape by going through a portal created by his friend, Clarice. Instead of arriving safely with his friends, he finds himself alone on Xistentia's beach.

AGENT OF DESTINY: Yes, coerced. D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. vowed to spare his world at the cost of others, which is a no-brainer for Ignacio.
BACKGROUND:
Sometime between 27BC and 180AD, Ignacio began his unlife by clawing through dirt to the surface of a large field in Hispania. Naked, alone, his only thoughts were to run, to feed, and to claim territory for his own. He tore the throats of any human that crossed his path, then he drank deeply of their blood and thought of what the future may hold for him. With no memory of his past, he wondered if he was spawned from the earth itself, perhaps to fulfill a grand destiny. One thing was certain, he felt superior to humans and held no kinship with them.

Regardless, he had to learn to adapt to a human-dominated world. To do this he found others of his kind, those who roamed free as he did, and started a 'community' where they could learn from each other and spread their influence. Ignacio wasn't picky about his people, anyone of a vampiric nature was welcome even if they were monstrosities or hybrids. What began as a small cave of individuals, under Ignacio's guidance, they became a village, then a town, then a city, and soon after there was nowhere in the country safe from them.

Ignacio's heyday was during the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. Spain was not enough for him, he desired to explore and dominate the world. As such, he was a key player in the creation of the Spanish Conquistadors, who claimed many lands in the name of Spain and carved a bloody path into the New World of the Americas and beyond. He loved nothing more than to sail on the open sea, and to descend upon a hapless native population to brutally subjugate them.

In modern times his activities are far more subtle; Real estate, stocks and bonds, technology companies and shady dealings in the underworld. Ignacio traded his knowledge of violence for that of subterfuge, though he'd never turn down the opportunity to shed blood, it is quite delicious after all. All in all, he is someone who will do anything to achieve his goals. So driven by them that he has no heirs, no regular lovers, only his growing 'family' of vampires. He is territorial with any vampires not under his rule, but still considers them kin and will go to great lengths to avoid warfare with them.

POWERS:

These (ripped from D&D) powers are subject to the character that he's using them against. Everything is flexible and requires OOC permission.

  • Blood Drain: Can suck the blood of a living victim. The blood provides strength and energy to him and his victim is weakened.
  • Domination: He can crush an opponent's will by looking into their eyes or speaking, allowing him to "charm" the victim. They must obey him for 24 hours and consider him to be without fault/a dear friend.
  • Alternate Form: Can assume the form of any animal.
  • Children of the Night: Can call forth a pack of rats, bats and/or wolves. They serve him until released. He can sense through the senses of these creatures, and communicate telepathically with them.
  • Create Spawn: If he drains a humanoid of blood and buries the body they will rise as a vampire 1-4 days later. The new vampire is enslaved to him until death, or until he willfully releases them.
  • Fast Healing: Wounds heal quickly and leave no scar. If "killed" he automatically assumes gaseous form and attempts to escape. He must reach one of his designated places of rest within 24 hours or be utterly destroyed.
  • Gaseous Form: Can assume gaseous form at will and has a fly speed of 20 feet with perfect maneuverability.
  • Holy Resistance: Less easily affected by holy powers than most undead. Holy symbols don't affect him.
  • Spider Climb: Can climb sheer surfaces, including ceilings.
  • Telekinesis: Can move objects and people with the force of his will.
  • Telepathy: Can communicate telepathically with any living creature within 100 feet, and with any vampire to a range of 1 mile.
  • Undead Traits: Is immune to poison, sleep, paralysis, stunning, disease, death effects, drain effects, necromantic effects and mind-influencing effects. Negative energy heals him, and he is not at risk of death from massive damage. Darkvision, supernatural strength, speed and hardiness.

    STARTING EQUIPMENT:

  • His daemon is a black ring on his right ring finger named Conquistad.

    EXIT STRATEGY: An agent of D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. approached Ignacio and made him an offer: infiltrate and undermine F.A.T.E.S. or be destroyed. Ignacio found the threat fascinating and decided to go along with it, as he had nothing to lose by agreeing and everything to gain. He arrived on the beach and expects to receive instructions, but in the meantime he'll explore and get to know the locals.

    EXIT STRATEGY:
    When Archie climbed into the grave he and Betty had uncovered, it started raining, but he hadn't known it would be the storm to end their world. He planned on stopping the Black Hood once and for all but things didn't go according to plan. Betty hit the Black Hood with a shovel and got Archie out of the coffin, although instead of putting an end to all the danger and chaos in Riverdale, he got caught up in the storm and washed up on an unfamiliar shore.
