You are now on the front lines defending the Multiverse.
The supercomputer welcomes you to XISTENTIA. You emerge on the beach, or still in the water, confused and disoriented after your body broke apart and was reformed in the firewall. The weather is temperate, and the water you've been flotsam in is warm, the sand under your hands feels gritty and just as real as anything. This is not a dream.
Your daemon is staring at you. It may be a creature you knew before or it could be something completely new. The look on it is somewhat fond, which, in some cases is quite the feat. It introduces itself to you as Nimued. It will be your network access and companion during your time in Xistentia. It informs you that it is mid-afternoon, and that you should attempt to reach the city. It projects a map, and gives you the rundown: there is a virus seeking to destroy your world, and every other world in the Multiverse. Have you witnessed any catastrophes recently, natural disasters that should be completely out of the realm of possibility? That is D.E.S.T.I.N.Y., and the only place where you can fight it, and restore your world to its former glory is here, in Xistentia. Are you willing to help?
You can also join the war event, and here's the OOC plotting post (we recommend commenting around at this point as well as making a fresh comment). Alternatively, for a more casual flavor, the latest network icebreaker is here.
A note on your powers: Percival’s powers were limited so that
in using his wizard magic, his maximum destructiveness will be limited to being able to destroy 2 cars in one shot or a dead lift of 2 tons. Similarly, any "instant death" powers can only bring an opponent down to the level of "the brink" of death, allowing some time for rescue and recuperation.
Mind-control abilities that might be used in violation of consent may be fended off with willpower (per established canon, just reinforcing!)
Special plot circumstances will allow these limits to be lifted or suspended temporarily, and you can also request for such events. These changes were made in the interest of establishing a concrete benchmark for game balance. Feel free to contact the mods to discuss.
ACCEPTED -- Still sorry for the delay, but this time with correct links ;_;
