For the first time in perhaps her entire life, Rose understands the pang in her heart that comes from the mention of him being separated from his family. It had always been something that she knew she was supposed to feel sad about but actually couldn't fathom why because she'd never had a family she cared enough about to lose. Until now. Recently, even, she had experienced the frantic scramble and worry that came with not knowing where her family, her packmates were or if they'd even arrive.
She gives him a little squeeze at the mention of being the only one that made it, allows him as long as he needs to hold her. Part of her feels... guilty, maybe, that she's the only one here for him when he has others back home to be concerned over. Another part is glad that she's here for him (and Vex, she guesses, but she's undeniably better) since he at least isn't going it alone. And a last part that she isn't about to dare speak is selfishly happy to have him not all to herself but mostly.
For the time being, anyway. ]
Hey, we'll make it right. We'll fix what we can here, maybe, and then... head back to Tamriel. [ Or. He will.
