[Toby's trying to make her way from the beach as quickly as she can--going to the Undersea wasn't anywhere near enough to take away the effects of fourteen years as a fish--but something catches her attention behind her. She wouldn't have stayed alive so long if she wasn't actually pretty observant.
Her eyes--pale gray, since she hasn't thought yet to cast an illusion over herself--widen as she takes in the child not far away. She doesn't look Fae, at least not like any Fae Toby knows, but definitely not human. That's enough for Toby to step forward with a tiny smile, hands out to show she'd not armed, one hand only moving a little to shove her hair behind one sharply pointed ear]
