Re: manga/anime canon point equivalency: The manga is still ongoing and at this point, the events of episode 24 have only just started - specifically, Father Tres pouring the mystery liquid has happened, but that's as far as the manga's gotten. Or as far as the fan translation groups have gotten, anyway. So what I'm hoping to do there is use the anime's timeline, but flesh it out with details from the manga. If that's not acceptable, I can swap his canon point to his last manga appearance instead.
Re: powers and durability -I'd say he's closer to the Hulk end of the durability scale, but not quite to full Hulk level. Having someone stab him in the shoulder with what was essentially a flaming knife during a fight didn't seem to slow him down much, and he bounced back in what was implied to be a couple of days tops from nearly being incinerated by the sun. But there's definitely a limit on that - if he loses enough blood, it kicks his bloodthirst into overdrive to compensate, and any additional wounds he takes heal a lot slower.
-Which leads me into weaknesses. Yes, Ion *does* share those weaknesses, sorry for not making that clearer in the original app. ^.^;; (Though there is an "anti-UV gel" his kind can use, and if I'm allowed to keep the 'traveling with Abel' canon point he might actually have a tube on him; but it's water soluble, so I have to imagine it sweats off pretty easily and is only really useful for short periods.)
-He doesn't fly, (but he can jump pretty high, ex: into a second floor window from ground level) or shapeshift, or have any powers in common with the Methuselah subspecies listed on the page. He's considered pretty fast even by other Methuselah, but he's definitely not the fastest around.
-Enhanced strength is a little trickier to answer. He never shows what you might call super strength (bending steel bars with his bare hands or anything like that), but he's able to pick up and carry Esther around without much apparent difficulty despite her weighing at least as much as he does (probably more, since he's a skinny little thing) and also able to hold his own in fights against dudes who *should* be able to shove him around pretty easily. So he's definitely at least a little stronger than he looks...
