I play her as a blend of both medias; she has the Guardians of Childhood history with the Rise of the Guardians movie plot taking place some centuries after the events that occur in the book.
POWERS: → Toothiana is able to fly using her wings. Being half hummingbird, she is quick and agile during flight. Her wings are also as sharp as blades. She can use them when fighting if she needs to. → She has superhuman strength and agility. While she may not be as strong as, say, North you don't want to challenge her to an arm-wrestling contest. Her speed can make her seem like a blur to the regular eye sometimes but she is not always that quick. → Tooth is able to make miniature copies of herself. These tiny fairies are the ones who collect the teeth when she does not herself. The amount of them varies as they are equivalent to the amount of children's teeth that need to be gathered each night. She has a telepathic link with these tiny versions of her and can command them with only her mind. → Toothina and her fairies are the only ones able to unlock someone's memories using their teeth besides the person themselves. → She can speak every language that there is on Earth and also communicate with any Earth animals. She can learn other non-Earth languages, too, if given the opportunity and time. STARTING EQUIPMENT: Nothing but the feathers on her back and her daemon Asterd. EXIT STRATEGY: Imagine a scenario where Pitch Black got exactly what he wanted: a world cold, dark, and full of nightmares. That's exactly what Toothiana is coming from. Despite her and her fellow Guardian's valiant efforts, they simply weren't strong enough to fight back against Pitch with belief in them dwindling to practically nothing. North managed to throw out a snow globe portal just before things took a turn for the worst. Toothiana, however, appears to be the only one to have made it to Xistentia (despite the appearance of her daemon, it's unfortunately not the Bunnymund she knows). MORALITY: Toothiana is an example of lawful good character. She has a strong sense of duty when it comes to her responsibilities as the Guardian of Memories. The woman also has no shortage of pride in her work. Sometimes to a fault. She also respects and follows strictly the code set by the Man in the Moon with regards to her title. Still, she is compassionate and cares deeply for the children she's been tasked with protecting. She would never do anything to harm them or to lessen their belief in her if she can help it. WAR ATTITUDES: The Sisters of Flight were known for the prowess in combat and Toothiana is not exception. She has her mother's warrior blood in her. As such, she will likely not hesitate to fight if the opportunity presents itself. And especially so if it threatens the safety of those present in Xistentia. Honestly, she'd probably prefer to be at the front lines and actively doing something to help restore her world instead of hanging back in the city. INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS: Toothiana is a very tactile person to begin with. By nature, she is very affectionate when it comes to those she is familiar with and even those she's not. She doesn't seem to understand the concept of a 'personal bubble', as she has her hands on Jack Frost's shoulder (and also poking around his mouth) within minutes of meeting him. While very physically intimate, emotionally is a bit trickier. For one thing, she used to going unseen by anyone but children. She is also long-lived and spent most of her life independently. Even as part of the Guardians, they tend to operate on their own schedules and only see each other rarely. So it might be hard to get out of that mindset at first. That isn't to say she isn't friendly, however, and is certainly willing to give new relationships a chance. She'll likely be excited at the prospect of being seen by adults for the first time in centuries and actually able to make connections with others. COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS: While she is more suited to battle, Toothiana has some practical skills. She can craft jewelry out of gems and feathers, which a resident crafter (*cough*Era*cough*) might be able to turn into accessories to boost people's skills. And, of course, she will likely take on the task of being Xistentia's local dentistry expert!
